Musicians from the rock band Agatha Christie gave a concert at the Khmeimim airbase for Russian military personnel. The soloist of the rock group Vadim Samoilov said that the musicians made the decision to go to Syria in order to support the Russian military participating in the counter-terrorist operation. According to Vadim Samoilov, the musicians were particularly pleased that most of the servicemen were well acquainted with the work of the Agatha Christie band and willingly sang along during their performance at the air base in the province of Latakia.
RT gives the statement of the soloist of the Russian musical group:
We ended up here, because the heart had long been eager to come here, because we are patriotic people and we believe that the Russian army here truly stands for peace. Perhaps this is the only army in today's world, unfortunately, which is in fact fighting for peace.
Vadim Samoilov noted that representatives of the musical team are planning to give a second concert in Syria 23 February.
