Summary of the actions of the RF VKS in Syria for 4 days
The official representative of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation spoke at a briefing on the ongoing humanitarian operation. According to Igor Konashenkov, more than 40 tons of humanitarian aid have recently been dumped for residents of localities blocked by militants.
A video of one of these parcels was published on the website of the Ministry of Defense a few days ago:
Igor Konashenkov:
Thus, in the province of Latakia, the Russian Su-34 bomber destroyed the 4 off-road vehicle of terrorists and 20 militants. Several effective missile-bombing attacks were carried out in the area of the settlement of Kabaklia, which subsequently allowed the SAR army to take control of the important heights on which the infrastructure objects of representatives of terrorist groups were located.
The crew of the Su-25 aircraft, participating in the counter-terrorist operation in Syria, completed the task of destroying the Daesh (ISIS) field camp in Homs province. We are talking about the camp, which was used by the militants in the area of the city of Kisin. The goal was set with drone, then verified many times, including through contacts through the Baghdad Information and Coordination Center and representatives of the Syrian patriotic opposition.
According to General Konashenkov, new facts of mass desertion of militants are noted, who often try to break through the Syrian-Turkish border. From the statement of Major General Konashenkov (quote RIA News):
According to Konashenkov, militants are increasingly demonstrating the tactics of provocative shelling of settlements in order to shift the blame on the Syrian government forces. From the statement of General Konashenkov during the briefing:
Igor Konashenkov also added that the command of the Russian aviation groups in Syria continues to engage not only with military personnel of the SAR Armed Forces, but also with representatives of the patriotic opposition who are determined to fight ISIS, Jebhat-en-Nusra and other terrorist groups.
