Russian ships are going to Syria

As is known, the Arab League took an unprecedented step: the organization imposed economic sanctions on its permanent member, Syria. The reaction of Damascus was, as expected, extremely harsh. The emotional response of Damascus is quite understandable, - the actions of the Arab League are quite fit to the definition of banal betrayal, which has so often happened recently among the Arab states. In this regard, it is worth noting the following. We often call ourselves the largest divided people in the world, and yet the Arabs can claim this title.

The decision of the Arab League is a clear confirmation of this. The Arabs were as divided as possible. Each Arab state is driven by its own purely mercantile values. The Arab world has long been sold out. In this sense, the position of the Arab Islamists is very nice: they call for the unity of the Arab-Muslim world on the basis of a single faith. No less sympathetic is the position of the Ba'ath Party, which calls for the unity of the Arab world on the basis of the idea of "socialist revival." But unity never happens. This is the main weakness of the Arabs and one of the main sources of instability in the region. The Arabs, representing different countries, do not even have unity on such an important issue for them as the Palestinian one, let alone talk about protecting the interests of a single Arab state in the face of the threat of another foreign aggression.

At the same time, despite the fact that the Western channels are vying with each other about mass protests organized by the Syrians, with unity within this country, it seems, everything is more or less in order. Thousands of people protesting against the imposition of sanctions and speaking out for the actions of their government are taking to the streets of Syrian cities. But now is not about that.

The likelihood of military intervention in Syria increases

As Damascus continues to pull back with the demand to allow the presence of international observers in the country, the likelihood of military intervention in Syria is increasing day by day.

Analysts were divided on how the possible operation against Syria will develop. At the heart of this division of opinions lies a different interpretation of the reasons for the strengthening of the US naval grouping in the Mediterranean. If some experts argue that the transfer of the aircraft carrier "George Bush" to the coast of Syria unequivocally indicates a very early start of the bombing of this country, while others believe that the actions of the United States more closely resemble a bluff.

Whose point of view is closer to the truth, time will tell, but the fact of reaching the extreme point of tension around Syria is obvious. In favor of the fact that the military operation against Syria is not far off, the calls of the US and Turkish authorities for their citizens to leave Syria also speak. Are those who think that the issue of a strike on Syria has already been resolved? However, this time is not so simple.

Recall that a day before the start of the transition of the American aircraft carrier to the shores of Syria, three Russian Navy ships entered the territorial waters of this country. In addition, it became known that in the direction of the Syrian port of Tartus, which is the naval base of the Russian Federation, our aircraft carrier, the Admiral Kuznetsov, sailed. According to some reports, the large anti-submarine ship Admiral Chabanenko will also join the campaign in Syria.

The nomination of such significant Russian forces fleet in the direction of its Syrian base confirms the seriousness of the current situation. Apparently, the task of our sailors will be to prevent the onset of a new aggression of NATO and the United States. The very presence of Russian ships in the territorial waters of Syria should be the main and only factor holding back the West from the start of a new adventure, which this time may not end in good things, not only for Assad, but for the whole world, including the West itself.

What is Russia for Syria for? Why do we need to help out Assad, risking being dragged into a conflict? - Not everything is as simple as it seems. We simply can not sit aside, finally agreeing to the loss of the status of a great power. The head of the Center for Military Forecasting, Candidate of Military Sciences Colonel Anatoly Tsyganok believes that for a correct understanding of the situation a very important point should be taken into account: now there are several thousand Russian citizens living in Syria. Since the Soviet times, about 70-75 thousands of our compatriots lived there. Another 20-25 thousand people increased by Russian women who were married to Syrians. Thus, the active actions of our Foreign Ministry, army and navy can be dictated not so much by geopolitical considerations, which in itself is, of course, very important, but rather as the need to protect our compatriots living in Syria. Tsyganyuk believes that the measures taken may not be enough. Syria needs help in reorganizing its air defense system. It is obvious that in the case of delivery of the C-300 and C-400 complexes to Syria, the Syrian sky will be guaranteed to be closed for any air operation. We have time?

Tula landing exclusively for the protection of Moscow from all kinds of GKChP!
I think that the forces of the Russian Navy, which are described above, are quite enough to cool the ardor of the United States! The point here is not the number of ships, but the political will of Putin to prevent US troops (NATO) from entering Syria. After all, it is one thing to be present, and it is another thing to give an adequate rebuff to the NATO member in case of attempts to unleash a conflict!

That article ... a little outdated. First: "George W. Bush" with cruisers and destroyers has already gone heading for Norfolk. Secondly: "According to some reports, a large anti-submarine ship Admiral Chabanenko will also join the campaign in Syria"- it has long been known that the Chabanenko BOD is planned to be paired with the Kuznetsov. And moreover, the air group will comprise as many as 8 Su-33s and 8 Ka. I think it will be enough to defend Syria. in Tartus, this pair is not provided. Well, I’m personally: I am tormented by vague suspicions that a pair of "Kuznetsov" - "Chabanenko" under water will be accompanied by some nuclear missile loaf of the Atlant project. Just in case ... for ikebana.

Russia will have only one option - to manage to launch everything and let them fly wherever they want. China in this case remains clean. Because he does not care either Libya, which is indicative of a vote in the Security Council, nor Syria. well done sailors - forced to stir a hornet's nest! it will not be so easy now to take Syria. They feel that more serious forces are now involved, now they have to think five times than to attack. The main thing now is to complete the work begun. And of course, if you covered the country with an umbrella from S-300 and S-400, it would really be nice)

Judging from all of the above, if Russia needs to maintain its influence and presence in the Mediterranean, the Kremlin will have to take very, very serious decisive steps. Purely my opinion. The arrangement, by agreement with the Syrian authorities of the Russian ground forces, active assistance in strengthening the country's air defense, the presence of warships at the base point, and most importantly, assist in the peaceful settlement of the situation in Syria through diplomatic, political and secret methods. Of course, the proposals made by me are far from indisputable, but the main idea is that Moscow should very, very seriously take up the solution of this issue.

Friends, what are you talking about decisive measures and upholding Russia's interests? This is Ederast's PR before the elections - they say, we are sovereigns. It has already been said that billions of dollars of our "elite" lie in American banks. You can also add about our food security: ~ 70% of food is supplied to Russia from abroad ... Well, there is no need to talk about the state of our system of lighting the situation at sea, our ships will be able to operate only within the radius of visibility of the ship's radars. Also compare the armament of our ships and their URO ships, as well as the number of aircraft on the George Bush type aircraft and our Kuznetsov, taking into account the NATO air bases in Italy and Turkey. And yet, does anyone have reliable information about setting the "400s" on combat (not experienced) duty? That's the same ...

There is no need to compare weapons - after all, open confrontation not only needs to be avoided, but it will not happen with a high degree of probability. The main thing is to have the support of the local population in this region and the influence due to the presence of at least one brigade of the Airborne Forces or the Marine Corps, it is not important to have air defense systems either. The main thing is to make it clear that Russia is much more interested in this country than in Libya, for example.

After all, we do not want to take away some piece of the Middle East from them under our influence, they are building a "NEW WORLD ORDER" and will eliminate any obstacles on their way, if necessary, by means of armed violence. In my opinion, it would be incorrect to drag Uncle Adolf here. And the Pentagon will not come out openly against Russia, even in the "secondary" territory of Syria. But the heat is possible, and very serious. This is where our diplomats will have to work hard. "New World Order"? .... It looks more like a utopia. The United States is more likely to fight for resources than for power over the world - this is more likely a consequence. In fact, the same colonial war, only of the 21st century.

Power over the world is a condition for owning resources, well, and, according to the classics, sales markets, sources of raw materials ..., in a new way, dominance in the information sphere and, therefore, in the ideological sphere (which they so vehemently deny). For their successful activity, our diplomats must have support: financial and economic, ideological and moral, power ones. Which we have are very weak. "Uncle Adolf" is not given here as an example of a person, nor is it given at all. It highlights a situation where a cowardly majority cannot resist an arrogant minority. After all, the United States, in fact, over the past two decades has acted in the same way as the Nazis in the late 1930s. Only they act cleverly: before committing an aggression, they fool the world community, make a potential victim an "embodiment of evil", secure a UN mandate, and only then ... Everyone in the world sees this, but keeps silent, counting on the new "Nuremberg trial" everything blame the Pindos. Will not work...

In my opinion, Syria, before the combined forces of Turkey, Jordan, the threat from Israel and the actions of the internal 5 columns can not resist. Russia can do nothing but help with political support and limited arms supplies. TAKR Kuznetsov and the Chabanenko BPC are not serious forces and are only able to show their flag in the best part of the central part of the Mediterranean Sea, the country's leadership will not let it into the waters of the eastern Mediterranean, ships will simply be lost by Russia.

Gentlemen, "Kuznetsov" and "Chabanenko", according to the statements of the military, are just going to go to Syria for the exercises planned in advance. No doubt it's nice to dream up, but the reality is that a not too large grouping of ships, even led by an old aircraft carrier, and with a 300 to boot, will not stop the ground invasion, which is being prepared, according to some sources, from Turkish territory. Ours will not iron out the Syrian territory, especially if we take into account our lag in high-precision weapons, and massive attacks would lead to uncontrollable casualties on both sides. Libyan citizens who have experience of fighting after the recent events in Libya also enter Syria to support the opposition.

In the spring of next year, the group of warships of the Russian Navy will enter the territorial waters of Syria. The detachment will be led by the heavy aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov. The detachment of warships will arrive in the Syrian port of Tartus, newsru.co.il reports with reference to Interfax.
The main task of Russian ships according to the agency, which refers to military experts, is to prevent a military conflict with the participation of Western countries. In turn, the military argues that the campaign of a group of ships in Syria is in no way connected with the situation in the country.
The entry of Russian ships into the territorial waters of Syria may be Russia's response to the actions of the United States, which transferred the latest nuclear-powered military cruiser george hwbush from the Persian Gulf region to this region. In addition, two American missile cruisers and the same number of missile destroyers arrived on the Syrian coast.
Last week, the Al-Arabiya TV channel reported that a group of three ships of the Russian Navy had allegedly entered Syrian territorial waters near the port of Tartus. According to a source close to the Syrian authorities, the ships did not anchor.
According to the Arab media, which cited a source in the Russian leadership, a group of ships was sent to the country to prevent NATO from starting a military operation under the pretext of a humanitarian mission. However, reports that appeared about the entry of Russian vessels into the territorial waters of Syria were officially refuted.
According to Russian media, in December a group of ships of the Northern Fleet will leave Murmansk. Then the ships circled Europe and entered the Mediterranean Sea through the Strait of Gibraltar.

The emotional response of Damascus is quite understandable - the actions of the Arab League fully fit the definition of banal betrayal, which has so often happened recently among Arab states.

And this is very good! This suggests that the Arabs will never defeat Christians! There is no unity between them, although there seems to be a common jihad against the "infidels".

The Arabs were divided as much as possible. Each Arab state is driven by its purely mercantile values.

And this suggests that, even if we allow the hypothetical victory of Islamism throughout the world, universal peace and prosperity does not come anyway, and these religiously fanatical chimoshniks will begin jihad against each other, begin to cut off their heads as if they were co-religionists. The Russian missile defense system in the form of the notorious and vaunted S-300 and S-400, will demonstrate its complete helplessness, failure, IMPOTENCE against Israeli and American electronic warfare means. Soviet air defense systems were successful only in the 60s of the twentieth century. The Stinger was in some way a development of the Red-Eye MANPADS, which appeared in the 60s, and which served as a role model for the creation of the first Soviet MANPADS Strela-2. A "Bazooka" from the Yankees appeared during the Second World War. Learn, friend, history.

Good day everyone... I noticed that the issue of the quantity and quality of offensive weapons is being discussed very hotly. Nuclear weapons are also not the limit of perfection! What about psychotropic weapons, chemical warfare agents, cybernetics nanotechnologies, quantum generators, unmanned installations and many other weapons, the development of which has been and continues to be active for many decades? It’s time for us to stop thinking and reasoning on the principles of the Second World War - whoever has more tanks with infantry and planes with ships wins :):):) Didn’t it even occur to us that it was possible to interrupt an entire offensive operation of an army group with psychotropic weapons and bring them into confusion, chaos, shootout among themselves and escape, any crew of an enemy tank will go completely crazy, the psyche will go out of control. that in the end: even if we have at least 50 tanks against 1000 of them, having high-precision progressive weapons based on nanotechnology, their mass superiority, the abundance and variety of offensive equipment and weapons will lose all meaning...... ...... please do not judge strictly, but this is not only my opinion, we are waiting for comments.

    Denis,
I don’t agree, on TV they are still talking about the newest T-90, which has no analogues in the world, although already in the late 90s some parts were equipped with T-95, T-96, and their chassis, unlike the T-90, was not copied with T72 and T80. But everywhere they are silent about this. Who will tell you about the weapons currently available if it’s all classified as secret? Half the country naively thinks that the S-400, the Nerpa submarine, the T-90 tank, and the fifth generation fighter project T-50...... are the latest!!!!:) funny. I feel like they’re blaming me for 3,14 years, but I’m sure they won’t talk about the 7th generation fighter on TV for another 6-7 years, but it exists, it flies beautifully and carefree and passes the necessary tests............. .......

I don’t argue, but from the first tests, shots, flights, etc. the way to the series is oh so close

It began to affect the brain in the same 30s, in the 3rd Reich. Many large enterprises had special rooms for watching programs like “At Work Noon” during lunch breaks. The TV program was very similar to the program of Channel 1 during the Soviet Union. A cable line was also installed! TV Nuremberg-Berlin, for broadcasting Nazi rallies and other events.

Okay, maybe I was in a hurry, but as for the T-96, this is a fact; the military unit in the Khabarovsk Territory in 2001-2003 already received several copies of these tanks, they are still in use today and have successfully put them on balance sheet and maintenance. Why then are people being brainwashed on TV, hence all the low self-esteem and loss of trust in our military power. to say that this tank is secret is stupid... the Americans probably know all its characteristics, I’m more than sure. But they can’t create an analogue yet, the Abrams can stand next to the ninetieth, but not with the 96, the designs and base are fundamentally different.

on the same tanks, weren’t there vehicles superior to the T-34 in terms of performance characteristics?
there was more than one, but he was best adapted to those conditions
comparative ease of manufacture - the machines are mainly used by women and children, and skilled workers are at the front
maintainability - a lot of vehicles were returned to service by rescue forces in the front line and much, much more
perhaps something similar now + the notorious lack of funding and other vile undercover fuss

Guys, why did you actually get all alarmed and decide that we were going there to protect someone? (except for 100 of his compatriots). I am a great patriot of Russia and Russian weapons, but I find it hard to believe that our squadron has precisely such tasks. if they sign up for someone, then at least have good reasons for it, so that they can then get into a fight for that someone! As a person, I am categorically against our guys dying somewhere near the devil for some dubious political idea. We've had enough of Afghanistan.
And Israel is just a small Doberman or Ratweiler in the east, with a short US leash. If the pendos hadn’t gotten in there, and Uncle Sam hadn’t poked his long nose into all these conflicts, then the Arabs had long ago committed genocide to the Jews in Hitler’s place. It’s just very difficult to fight with a person who, in the event of a self-detonation, along with the enemy will receive 70 virgins in heaven wink

It’s not a matter of configuration. It's all for maneuvers. to maintain BALANCE.

The journalists just want to heat up the situation. They are not going to Syria, but to the Mediterranean Sea for exercises. In Syria there is only a logistics center. All non-Black Sea Fleet ships that go to the Mediterranean Sea always call at Tartus.
