The beneficiaries of the Third World
New methods of warfare shifted the priority to the sphere of information-psychological confrontation, which makes it possible to transfer not only training but also most of special operations to the hidden phase without endangering the key “beneficiary”.
The United States, Japan, the European Union (including the UK), Canada and Australia have accumulated astronomical debts and do not want to change the enslaving conditions of financial and trade exchange.
The size of the territories and the location of the countries included in the BRICS, the presence of rich mineral deposits, the interest of transnational companies make these states potential targets for attack.
Wars remain a tool for maintaining dominance in the world. But now they are wars of a new type, which the vast majority of the population cannot even identify with force. The collective West is categorically opposed to the claims of countries to a fair distribution of income, the formation of a multipolar world and a new system of sustainable growth. Information and psychological operations as part of hybrid wars play a key role in hindering development.
Crisis management in camouflage
Most interpret the concept of "crisis management" as a tactic of the exit of the enterprise from the crisis. But the meaning of Crisis management is to compete not by means of force, but by methods permitted by laws to create a turning point, to retain control over it and, ultimately, to gain profit. In fact, a competitor begins to fight for market share, using for this purpose not the improvement of his product or services, but the hidden activity aimed at exposing his opponent in the most unattractive form for customers. Similar tactics are commonly used in commercial property raider attacks. Of the recent major events, such can be attributed to the aggressive takeover by Microsoft of Nokia and the “diesel scandal” arranged by the Americans against the Volkswagen group.
When the financial and power strength of TNCs caught up with some of the leading states of the world, methods of aggressive takeover of companies began to be actively applied to entire countries. State or private owners are suspended on the basis of “revolutionary expediency”, and in the future there is either a direct seizure with the help of criminal gangs, or the legitimization of the transfer of assets through appropriate jurisdictions for symbolic money. In modern conditions, a country or a company that possesses a particularly valuable product, which has distinct advantages, is likely to be affected by methods of aggressive competition. And the main task is not so much to extract profits from a valuable product and attract new customers, but to survive and preserve the existing one. There is a saying in the US Army: if you look like food, you will someday be eaten.
Reputation as a factor of vulnerability
At the present time, when up to 80 percent of the company's value is its reputation, communication becomes one of the most important tools in a potential collision. In order to inflict maximum economic damage on the enemy, which aims to incline defeat and force the winner to accept the conditions, information and psychological operations have become a key factor.
The use of information, as well as its impact on the psyche of people - the most important weapon World War III. The task is to suppress the will of the enemy, without engaging with him in a classic-type war, which will cause both active opposition of the local population to the invaders and the condemnation of a large number of countries. The methods of the new format of aggression show that today there is no need to send troops to conquer the state. The main purpose of a hybrid war against an asset, which can be both a state and a large concern, is to seize control. In information-psychological operations, the key role is played by the media and the Internet, which use prepared pseudo-news, the results of “false flag operations”, etc. All actions of terrorists, criminals, acts of sabotage disguised as man-made disasters, performances of the “fifth column”, etc. they aim at a massive penetration into the information environment, as it provides the maximum impact both on the inhabitants of the country - the object of attack, and on the world community.
Not a revolution - but a war
Bribery, blackmail, sabotage, terror, murder and operations under a foreign flag, which are an integral part of psychological operations, have long been adopted by global merchants. In order to "stimulate" betrayal among the military and civil society, "during the war in Iraq in 2003 – 2004, the branch of the Federal Reserve in New York sent more than 14 billion dollars in airplanes to Baghdad ...”
The presence of a clear aggressor consolidates the society of the country that was attacked and sets targets for counter-actions. New methods of warfare shifted the priority of operations to the sphere of information-psychological confrontation, which allows to transfer not only training but also most of the special operation to the hidden phase without endangering the reputation of the key beneficiary. Carrying out operations under a foreign flag, you can, with the support of your own and corrupt media, direct a blow against geopolitical opponents.
New methods of warfare are different names. These are, for example, 4GW (The 4th Generation Warfare - “The War of the Fourth Generation”), “Unconventional Warfare”, hybrid, asymmetric, “informal”, small war, etc., but the goals are always the same.
The concept of “Unconventional military actions” details the basics of organizing, preparing and using protest movements, insurgent and counterinsurgency forces, as well as sabotage, terrorist attacks and the physical destruction of iconic persons. In a modern war, it is often not necessary to spend hundreds of millions of dollars on expensive planes, since a mined car or container can cause comparable or even greater damage, and the participation of the aggressor country is legally difficult to prove.
New forms of warfare largely explain the "strange" nature of all recent military actions - in Libya, Syria, and Donbas. “In the conditions of the fourth generation war, psychological operations will become dominant at the operational and strategic levels. The main goal of these operations will be the civilian population supporting their government in the war ... Television news can become more powerful weapons than armored divisions. ”
Western institutions and funds have always paid special attention to working with journalists in the territories of countries that were planned to destabilize. During Soviet times, thousands of media representatives went through subversive educational programs.
Methods of informational and psychological wars are used to destroy civil society and suppress the population’s ability to defend itself. It is fundamentally important that the development, implementation and control in this case are entrusted to the US Psychological Operations Service. General Martin Dempsey, who was the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, at one time prepared a report entitled Capstone Concept for Joint Operations: Joint Force 2020 (CCJO - “The Concept of Joint Action: Combined 2020 Force and Means”).
In the upcoming conflicts, says the CCJO, not only traditional armed forces will take part, but also an extensive range of non-state entities, including militant formations, private and corporate security forces, terrorists, guerrillas and transnational criminal organizations, which are increasingly appearing on the battlefield.
It is the special forces of the US armed forces that are assigned to representatives of the State Department (including embassies), the CIA, the US Information Agency (USIA) and certain media. If we take into account that the beneficiaries of this process belong to transnational and local media, this puts the confrontation with the country that became the object of aggressive influence on a completely different level, since the executive power system, the forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the courts, civil society are not able to fight back well-prepared military operation with powerful information support. The participation of dozens of CNN journalists, the British Bi-Bi-si and other transnational media testifies to the level of capabilities of the information-psychological operations of the US armed forces.
The application of the concept of "Unconventional military operations" by the special forces of the US Armed Forces against the classically (that is, to the "past war") prepared troops of the country being the object of the attack gives a multiple advantage. “In new wars, the goal is to mobilize the population, the main efforts are directed not so much to violence as to expand the network of extremism. The overall strategy is to establish control over the territory by political means, and military means are used to destroy, expel or silence those who can prevent it. ”
Private army time
We live in an era of total privatization of the remaining cash flows. One of the "promising" areas is the business of private military companies (PMCs). In Iraq and Afghanistan, the United States used the services of PMCs more often than in any other war for its entire history. In the 2010, they had more private contractors (207 thousands) in the combat zone than military personnel (175 thousands). From 1999 to 2008 the year when these conflicts were at their peak, Pentagon’s outsourcing costs increased from 165 to 466 billions of dollars a year. To understand the level and scale of these private armies, it is enough to know that the second largest private security company in the world is G4S. The number of its employees reaches 657 thousands. It is a multinational security services firm headquartered in the UK.
The name BlackRock, like Vanguard, will not say anything to most, but recently researchers have provided information on the role of the largest investment fund and its affiliated structures in world and local events. Behind most modern armed conflicts, terrorist attacks and man-made disasters is always Vanguard Inc.
Through various structures, the corporation controls the most powerful PMCs - Academi, KBR, G4S, MPRI, which includes former American generals around 340. It’s not even PMCs, but a “think tank” or a kind of “super-PMWC” - it’s not for nothing that The New York Times newspaper entitled America’s For-Profit Secret Army (“American Commercial Secret Army”) about it.
In the banking sector, the Vanguard Group, through the cross-ownership of Fidelity, BlackRock, State Street and others, controls all the largest banks: JP Morgan Chase (1-th place in the world with 2,39 trillion dollars), Bank of America with assets (2-e with 2,17 trillion dollars), Citigroup (3-e with 1,88 trillion dollars), Wells Fargo (4-e with 1,44 trillion dollars). The largest companies in various industries are controlled by this “Big Four”, and on closer inspection, simply by Vanguard Corporation.
If we add that the world's largest advertising holdings belong again to Vanguard, and they in turn oversee PR and Internet communications, we have a picture of total control of the business. The advertising budget has become an additional element of increasing executive discipline and self-censorship in the media. By the way, PR-agency Ketchum, which was engaged in PR in Russia, is part of the marketing division of Diversified Agency Services, which is part of the global advertising and marketing holding Omnicom Group, which in turn includes three of the ten leading advertising agencies in the world - BBDO, DDB and TBWA and Three of the seven largest PR companies in the world, apart from Ketchum, are also Fleishman-Hillard and Porter Novelli.
While in 1983, the vast majority of media in the United States was controlled by 50 companies, today the press is concentrated in the hands of only six media corporations: Time Warner, Walt Disney, Viacom, News Corporation, CBS Corporation, NBC Universal, which, according to the stock exchange, are controlled by Vanguard.
But is it possible, controlling even trillions of dollars, to control so many companies in the world? It turns out that it is. In the long-transnational corporations that have entered the stock exchange, even possession of a five to seven percent stake, especially if they are all category “A”, allows one to gain control. Not possession, but the ability to influence the appointments to the board of directors of their people, to exert pressure through the “independent” media, or more precisely, owned by Vanguard media, along with their own PMCs, the size of an army of a large state, decides in favor of a modest shareholder. Those whom we know from the media as the owners of such corporations usually do not own one percent of the shares that give the right to make decisions. The group of investors controlling Vanguard’s owners, including Donald Rumsfeld, Richard Cheney, the Rothschild clans, Bush, Rockefellers and other influential people, which controls the tens of trillions of dollars of investors and all the world's largest corporations, almost monopolized US foreign and defense policies.
