Russian Defense Ministry Reveals Turkish Relations with Daesh and Jebhat Al-Nusra Militants
Perhaps this is the first briefing, where high-ranking Russian military men so openly and emotionally told about intelligence about the frank contacts of the fighters DAISH (ISIL) with Turkey.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, there is irrefutable evidence of the involvement of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his family members in the sale of contraband oil with DAIS militants.
According to the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Sergei Rudsky, three routes for the supply of oil from the territories controlled by the militants in Iraq and Syria to Turkey have been identified. The eastern route leads to the oil depot in the settlement of Jizre (Sirnak province, Turkey), the western route leads to the Turkish ports of the Mediterranean, Dertyol and Iskenderun, the northern route to one of the largest oil refining facilities also located on Turkish territory.
Of statements General Rudskogo:
According to Sergey Rudskiy, DAISH fighters daily transport up to 200 thousand barrels of oil to Turkey, having at their disposal about 8,5 thousand car tanks.
Lieutenant-General Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the National Center for Defense Management, added that only over the past week, about two thousand fighters DAISH and Dzhebhat an-Nusra entered Syria from Turkey, and 250 units of off-road vehicles and almost 120 tons of ammunition.
And this is the statement of the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia, General Anatoly Antonov:
According to the deputy head of the defense department of the Russian Federation, DAISH earns about 2 billions of dollars from oil trade with Ankara a year!
Further, Anatoly Antonov, commenting on Erdogan’s refusal to admit his guilt in complicity with terrorism, expressed words that can be considered the culmination of the briefing:
We urge colleagues to conduct journalistic investigations to disclose financing schemes and the supply of petroleum products from terrorists to consumers. Moreover, the oil produced in the territories under the control of the militants, in transit through the Turkish ports is supplied to other regions.
For its part, the Russian Ministry of Defense will continue to publicize new evidence of the supply of oil by terrorists to foreign countries and talk about the conduct of the operation by the Russian Aerospace Force in Syria.
Let's combine our efforts.
