Today it is enough just to get access to various sources of information. We are rich, we are fabulously rich and do not even realize our sudden happiness. Not long ago, in order to read something important, people sometimes went to Moscow to the library, where the book was in one copy. It’s the same with newspapers - it’s not so easy to get a fresh issue of the New York Times in 75 in Uryupinsk. Very, very difficult. More recently, we received all the information from Soviet newspapers with fuzzy photographs. There was also a program "Time", if anyone remembers. And "International Panorama" was also. In the air, hostile voices howled ...
Now the situation has changed dramatically: a person interested in politics (especially knowing a foreign language) can get a cup of information coffee the size of the Pacific Ocean in the morning. Naturally, it is easy to drown in this cup, but today I am not talking about the problems of hickey. Today I'm talking about the contents of this very informational ocean. It would seem, how can you control the ocean? More than three billion users! How do you control them? However, a boundless bridle was found on the boundless waves of the information ocean ...
I will push back from the facts: there is such an unconditionally positive informational reason - the attacks of the Russian Aerospace Forces on ISIS. Finally something absolutely good happened, without any doubt. Ugly terrorists slaughtered people and drove around Toyota pickups with black flags (jeans?), And the valiant pilots of the VKS shortened them. Unlike the Crimea, which was positive only for Russians and their friends, the information guide is good for everyone without exception: the first photo is nasty igilovtsy, the second photo is a punishment from heaven. And the LIH cut everyone and threatened everyone. A kind of "Hollywood" angry aliens (there still grateful earthlings unite around the United States, who heroically stood in the way of intergalactic aggression!). And now you can get acquainted with what is written about it, and as already mentioned, the information is at the click of a mouse.
It is understandable with the foreign press (I mean everyone with the press, all of them are both newspaper and TV people online, if you are not online, you are not at all), the foreign press immediately began to look for sunspots and peaceful citizens among ISIS activists. It was funny to read the comments under these articles - prosperous burghers genuinely wondered why bombing ISIS was bad? Propaganda laid a steep turn, and citizens dizzy. Rather, the turn was so sudden that there was a complete break in the pattern. Previously, this was observed only in the German press, the German press is the most Russophobic in old Europe, and German citizens, of course, do not like Russia, but not so much. Not at all. And for every Russophobic article should be a shaft of bewilderment - what was it? Once again, ordinary Germans do not have any particularly warm feelings towards Russia (no illusions are necessary), but they don’t like such frank propaganda.
By the way, not everything is as good with the Russian information field as we would like: a very powerful “stuffing” of negative material is going on for the same operation in Syria, doubts, fears and even disguised threats are expressed. The electronic press, as we know in Russia, is absolutely free, and journalists and bloggers are crystal honest people and patriots. And yet, there is a very serious information processing of the population. Where does this come from? It’s just that the same characteristic “installations” are imposed through various sources: expensive, dangerous (what are our boys dying for?), ISIS will avenge, China has not supported, we isolate ourselves. Such are the honest, non-living Russian media ... As has already been said, there is simply no third (independent) point of view. Something is wrong with our battlecruisers / free speech. Vice Admiral Beatty was probably just as surprised at the time, looking at the death of Queen Mary.
A funny picture can be seen today in the world media: citizens have been frightening ISIS for a long time, and now they say that the ISIS bombing by Russians is bad. The people are perplexed, but the press continues to be insane, information is presented only in a negative way: civilians suffer, the “democratic opposition” suffers, the blows do not reach the goal ... In general, the abundance of information sources presupposes a variety of points of view, but singular. She's the one, she's the right one.
You understand what the problem is: discussions, like alternative views, are absent in the Western press as a class. They simply do not. Discussions, as well as alternative views, suggest the existence of different ideological positions. This is an absolutely necessary condition for discussions. But in the West has already come “the end stories according to Fukuyama. The liberal model won, finally and irrevocably won. And what do the facts mean without explaining their theory? Therefore, any author in his reasoning repels himself from the “only true” American ideology. This is simply inevitable. How do you imagine a Soviet journalist based in his daily work on “White Guard motives”? How real was it?
Here is about the same thing: any author uses Windows & Office to write their articles (I also use it), and any author uses American ideology to write the same articles (just by default). The computer turns on, and macros are loaded in my head ... Therefore, discussions become completely impossible - our documents simply "do not open" on their personal computers - there are no corresponding programs. This means that their content does not matter. Well, you all know these very macros: democracy, freedom, market economy, universal values ... By the way, that is why discussions with “Euro-oriented” (and there are more and more) Ukrainians and Belarusians are absolutely impossible - they already have these macros embedded in their heads. And they will starve to death, while maintaining faith in "Saint Obama and the second coming of democracy."
This, in essence, is a matter of training. The Russians built factories, ports and universities in Eastern Europe. The Anglo-Saxons did much smarter: they invested in the "promotion of democratic values." Which is much cheaper and more efficient. Even the directors and owners of Ukrainian and Belarusian enterprises that had billions of orders from Russia, were culturally and ideologically oriented toward the West. This is exactly the same way. Remember how the situation developed in Ukraine in the field of ideology? Constant sliding towards the West. At the same time, the West practically did not invest in Ukraine, only in the “programs for the development of democracy”. And here you should not laugh, it is necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of ideological work (Soviet political leaders could only dream of it): the economy is falling, the standard of living is falling, the social sphere is falling apart. At the same time, “Western friends” do not render any real help: they “teach to live”, but not “help materially.” But the popularity of Western ideology is growing by leaps and bounds.
The most characteristic from this point of view is the dialogue (or rather, an attempt at dialogue) with a person whose only language is Russian, but whose value system has already been brought to the Western standard. It is impossible to speak precisely for this reason - the same words mean completely different things. As Mr. Lukashenko said: “I don’t understand what the Russian world is.” Clearly, briefly and succinctly. For some reason, we are idealistically based on the rationality of ordinary people, their ability to reason and draw conclusions, unfortunately, this is not so, and all post-Soviet experience proves it. Millions of idiots in the RSFSR rejoiced in the breakup of the Union, after which they found themselves in the tenacious paws of Gaidar and Chubais (and Chubais!). In Central Asia and Transcaucasia, Russians were persecuted, robbed and expelled, after which countries fell into the pre-industrial era. But no one regretted anything; everyone suffered, but did not recognize his own stupidity. Poverty is a trifle, the main thing is freedom (under the whip of new khans, but freedom!).
The people, unfortunately, are easy to fool. Alas, it is. Nationalist mirages did not give anyone any good in the former USSR and killed millions, condemning them to poverty and emigration. But the people believe: the defeat of the Union - it was a step towards freedom. And in the post-Soviet space, it works with a bang. Russia helped Georgia for quite a long time, and the United States simply bought the elite there / took it on a short leash. Now compare: Russia spent billions, and the US is much more modest amounts for specific individuals, the money also remained in American banks (for reliability). Attention, the question: “Who owns Georgia now?”. Yes, the Georgian people at the same time plunged into terrible poverty, but who cares? In any case, not the Georgian elite, and certainly not the United States. The standard of living of an ordinary Georgian in the USSR was very high by Soviet standards and even by Southern European, now there is a third world there. And there are no prospects for Georgia, but the Georgian elites are tightly oriented to the West. That is, our billions in spending politically brought nothing to Russia. I agree, an ordinary Georgian wants to eat (I think this is obvious), he really wants to eat. But there are no political mechanisms for converting this very desire into political dividends for Russia. Georgia is on the “short leash” of the United States, and there is no opportunity to change anything here. They will starve and serve America (and hate the Russian occupiers of Abkhazia!).
Such a funny paradox - often people are no more reasonable than a herd of antelopes. The same Georgians rushed from the Union (which bought their loyalty dearly) to the West in the hope that the US would buy their loyalty even more expensive. Not grown together. Manipulate turned out to be much cheaper. The United States controls Georgia much more closely, and spends pennies on it. Learn, gentlemen! And some spit at the word propaganda, they say it is for suckers. But American leaders do not think so and take propaganda very seriously, they have long understood that one dollar spent on propaganda saves ten dollars for economic assistance. It is important not only and not so much to help (this is how Russians can!), How to tell in detail how good you are (and how bad your opponent is). That's exactly what the Americans are doing: they work with journalists, non-governmental, public organizations, human rights and environmental. The principle of operation is simple: they give money - they order music.
As a result, when discussing any problem, there are two opinions - American and incorrect. Just browse the current press and you will be amazed. There is no third opinion at all. Own opinions left no one. Virtually all "hit the ball, neatly thrown by an American player." The last example - France once again officially declared that the Crimea is occupied. Americans, as it were, demonstrate that Russia has a conflict not with them, but with the whole world, therefore France. France, which has other problems “above the roof” (I started writing this before the last terrorist attacks). But the Americans gently throw the ball, and France thumps on him with all the dope. And Russia responds no less harshly - the islands, "stolen" by France from Madagascar by referendum. Who remembered these unfortunate islands? Even the Madagascar people themselves are almost forgotten. And then suddenly ... France gets under the hand, what can we say about any Georgia?
Generally it is a cycle. Georgia has completed it completely, we see the result: a poor, degraded country with no future, but under American patronage. Ukraine is halfway there: the modern industry is being dismantled, the standard of living has fallen by half in the time after the coup and continues to fall, but the country is under complete US control. Learn, gentlemen! Belarus is at the very beginning of this path. Here it is - American foreign policy. Assess how quickly, cheaply and efficiently they work. “But tens of millions of Ukrainians are suffering,” you will say, and you will be wrong - ordinary people always suffer. It is important not to sympathize with the suffering of others, but to promote your interests. In any case, from the point of view of the Americans. By the way, Ukrainians still love them and still thank them literally for everything.
Russia, at its own expense, created a superpower industry for them, but it had no positive consequences. Understand that helping ordinary people is not politics. It does not give any sane results. Most countries are ruled by weak, deceitful and corrupt national "elites". They are easy enough to buy or intimidate, but it is pointless to “help” them. Russia has spent tens of billions to support jobs in Belarus and Ukraine after the collapse of the USSR, and what is the result? Approximately the same as the result of the help to the Bulgarian “little brothers” at the end of the 19 of the 20th century. That is, this very “help” actually, instead of reciprocal love and support in a difficult moment (as we expect), leads to ever-increasing demands, frank contempt and blackmail in our address. It sounds rather strange, but in fact the way it is. Thus, instead of “helping the brothers”, a rigid system of political control and propaganda is needed, and only in the third place of help as such. It’s hard for a normal person to believe this, but the fact remains that a very effective economic assistance from Russia to its neighbors politically does not give anything. The example of Ukraine clearly demonstrates this. The people who largely lived at the expense of Russia, at the first click of the fingers of the American ambassador, ran to burn the Russian embassy. Now they are hungry and cold ... I sympathize. "Give money and do not interfere in our affairs!" - somewhere we have already heard.
Lukashenko said this way: “I am your best friend, give me money, and I will organize everything.” Money given, did not intervene. As a result, we have a generation of Belarusian youth, for which Russia is a foreign country. And the demands to continue to give money, otherwise the very “nationalists” will intercept the power, which were brought up by the “best friend of Russia” Alexander Rygorych. Just compare the actions of the United States in Georgia and the actions of Russia in Belarus, as well as costs and results. So who, sorry, stupid, and who is smart? Life is quite cynical, and interstate relations can also be assessed by the simplest criterion: return / cost. I do not like? Speak common history, culture? But the Americans do not suffer from such sentiments, and therefore are effective in politics. Yes, they dropped two atomic bombs on Japan, but in the event of a military conflict, the Japanese will be on the side of the United States against Russia or on the side of the United States against China. Politics, alas, has nothing to do with morality.
And one should not revel in one’s own “intellectual superiority”, while Americans take the country’s full control around Russia’s perimeter for “50 Eurocents, a bouquet of scarlet roses and a Hollywood smile”. And stop already giving money to Alexander Rygorych - they spoil it.
