The head of the RCBZ troops spoke about the process of re-equipment and the performance of the tasks assigned by the military

In connection with the celebration of the Day of the RCBZ troops, the main defense department publishes information on the technical re-equipment of these troops and certain decisions of a managerial nature. So, it became known that by the end of the year a military research committee of RCBZ troops would be created. RIA News cites a statement by Lieutenant-General Eduard Cherkasov, Chief of the Radiation, Chemical and Biological Defense Forces:

In order to improve the quality of the functioning of the research, military training and educational organizations of the RCB protection troops, this year, work is being completed on the establishment of the Military Scientific Committee of the RCBZ troops.

The plans of the Ministry of Defense means re-equipment of RCB protection troops by about 70% by year 2020. According to Lieutenant-General Cherkasov, at the moment the rearmament is done on 30%.

From the statement of the head of the RCBZ troops:

In the 2015 year, 12 research and development projects are being carried out in the interests of the RCB protection troops, three of which will end this year. In 2016, 10 was planned for new developments. Thus, in the next two to three years, it is planned to complete development work on the creation of the main line of promising models of weapons and RCBZ equipment.

By 2017, a new robot should appear in the RCBZ troops, capable of performing a whole range of tasks in the interests of the radiation, chemical and biological defense troops. At the moment, several robotic complexes and remotely controlled systems are already in service with RCBZ troops. They are able to conduct radiation reconnaissance, determine the composition of a chemical used in various munitions, and perform a number of actions in conditions of high levels of radiation.
