Recently, a number of Russian publications have reported that representatives of the defense industry (part of Rostec) are negotiating with the owners of ECI Telecom about purchasing its technologies and transferring production to the territory of the Russian Federation with the aim of creating a communication network of Russian power structures.
“Rostec is ready to build communication networks for the Ministry of Defense and other power structures entirely on domestic equipment. Information on the purchase of the Israeli company ECI Telecom and its technologies for this purpose does not correspond to reality. We did not participate in such negotiations, there is no need for this, ”a source in the United Instrument-Making Corporation told the agency.
According to him, the defense industry has gained sufficient experience in creating secure communication systems.
“We have our own import-substituting technologies, software, hardware, which provide the necessary level of quality, reliability and, most importantly, data protection. Therefore, it is impossible to talk about the purchase and implementation of foreign technologies in trusted networks where everything should be protected from information leaks, ”the source said.
OPK is the head holding of Rostec, which accounts for 60% of orders for the creation of communication and control systems for the needs of Russian security forces.
