If this is not a preparation for war, then what?

If this is not a preparation for war, then what? The main thing that has recently been of interest to the modern Russian is the events in Syria. Ukraine has faded into the background, and very few are interested in the Baltic States. Meanwhile, in this region, actually under the very side of Russia, a real powder cellar is rapidly being built - the military contingents of the United States and other NATO countries are pulling in here.

Abrams, Bradley and others ...

On October 24, onlookers who found themselves at the berths of the port of Liepaja witnessed the arrival of a large consignment of ammunition, ammunition and armored vehicles for the American troops. Among the delivered equipment were massive Tanks M1A2 Abrams and Bradley armored vehicles. The second batch of these machines arrived a few days later, on October 27th. Ferries with equipment traveled from the German port of Travemunde. In Liepaja, tanks and “Béteers” were preparing for reloading in the territory of the Terrabalt terminal protected by the Latvian military police. Then, military equipment went to different destinations - both on highways and by rail. At first, the convoy with Abrams tanks headed towards the Lithuanian border. By the way, a new shift of the US military, consisting of 230 soldiers, arrived in Lithuania a week earlier. Together with them, servicemen from the so-called “Direct Support Company”, who are involved in the logistics of the American army, came to the country. Tanks and armored vehicles were deployed at the Rukle training ground. Altogether, a total of about seventy vehicles were deployed in Lithuania, including five tanks and 13 infantry fighting vehicles.

In Estonia, the American armored vehicles went to the military town of Tapa. Earlier, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of this country reported that the Yankees would deliver here over forty units of heavy equipment, including four Abrams tanks, ten Bradley, three self-propelled Paladin self-propelled guns and two sapper tanks. All of them are intended for military personnel from the US 3 Infantry Division, who replaced, in rotation, those soldiers who had been in Estonia before. By the way, as the deputy head of the Estonian Hotel and Restaurant Union Felix Mägus informed, the NATO military in the first eight months of the year made 10% of the total number of tourists visiting the city (up to 350 people).

Hospitality workers view this situation as negative, because the arrival of such a large number of military forces tourists to get nervous and leave Estonia.
In Latvia tanks were driven to the Adazi base by means of the Riga – Liepaja highway and the Riga 27 and 28 highway in October. They were driving in the middle of the road, in a continuous lane, pressing everyone they met to the sides of the road. A day later, on October 29, American armored personnel carriers and several more tanks left the Garkalne railway station. Two 69-ton tracked armored vehicles were attached to one 27,6-ton platform with stencilled logos of the Latvian Railway company and designations in Russian. Almost all the equipment was sand color, which was used by the US Army during operations in Afghanistan and Iraq.

The loading was observed by Lieutenant Jackson and his deputy, a smiling woman with stripes of the 1 Brigade of the US Army. It turned out that only one Abrams M1A2 tank weighing at least 62 tons is placed on one platform. They also stood on the platforms and lightly armored green-colored Humvee SUVs (as in the Bundeswehr), engineering vehicles, and trucks. Technique before transportation was partially dismantled, without dynamic protection and arsenal. According to the military, retrofitting, as well as repainting, takes a few hours.

The head of the press department of the Latvian Ministry of Defense, Kaspars Galkin, reassured journalists who watched the loading and unloading: “This is not a war, but an exercise. On the basis of our army in Lielvarde, for example, were helicopters UH-60 Black Hawk, that is, the rotation is constantly. Military equipment from these two ships in Liepaja will be present in Latvia for at least three months - and it was delivered here at the request of the United States. Eight Abrams tanks and nine Bradley armored vehicles (and one hundred and fifty US troops. - VS) are now based at our Adazhi base. And in total in the Baltic countries there are now seventy units of heavy military equipment. In terms of the exercises, coordination with other combat arms during ground maneuvers, air cover, and naval operations is indicated. And I do not comment on other people's phobias. ”

However, authoritative Latvian political expert Sergey Vasilyev believes that there is a reason for alarm - and considerable: “One can joke as much as possible on the weakness of Baltic politicians, but US tanks and armored personnel carriers are quite real, and their number constantly increases and steadily . If there is no preparation for war, call it something different ... ".

To suppress local Russians?

It did not go unnoticed that Latvian Defense Minister Raymond Bergmanis signed a contract with the Swedish company SAAB Dynamics AB on the acquisition of short-range RBS-70 anti-aircraft missiles. “We are now actively creating an air defense architecture that includes a warning system, rapid response and radar. The purchase of missiles is a step that allows us to strengthen our combat capability, ”said the Minister. The signed agreement provides that Latvia will receive a part of the missiles this year, and the rest - next, it will cost the country 3,67 million euros. By the way, the RBS-70 is a portable anti-aircraft missile system designed to hit helicopters and airplanes at low altitude.

Here, in Latvia, at the end of October, American special forces exercises were held. In Adazi, in the presence of the US ambassador to Latvia, Nancy Petit, an operation was carried out to arrest certain conditional “rebels”. This was supported by Black Hawk helicopters. After the Latvian military published photographs of the American participants in the maneuvers, the experts noticed oddity - it was military special forces who were unaware of the fighters' equipment. The heroes of this photo shoot are fighters in flight overalls and with shortened versions of Heckler & Koch Gewehr 36 submachine guns, which in the United States use only some SWAT units (police special forces).

Latvian opposition politician Vladimir Linderman points out: “The American special forces in Latvia at the Adazi range are working out an exercise to detain the rebels.” The people who are going through argue that it is not an army, but a police special forces, i.e. sharpened precisely on the suppression of internal unrest. The exercise was attended by the US Ambassador to Latvia Nancy Petit. So everything is grown-up. The same competent people assert that the US police special forces are in Latvia and Estonia on a permanent basis. This is not the army, but the police, and, if formally approached, international agreements on the deployment of troops are not violated, as it were. Please note that the special forces are deployed in Latvia and Estonia, they are not in Lithuania. ”

Next, the politician gives his assessment of what is happening. “There is only one logical explanation: in Lithuania, unlike in Latvia and Estonia, the share of the Russian population is insignificant. That is, Russian residents of the Baltic states are perceived as a threat. ”
The assumption is quite likely - especially considering that something similar is happening in Estonia. There in the northeastern region of Ida-Virumaa, a joint exercise of the local prefecture of the police and frontier guard and volunteer militia “Kiteselite” took place recently. The siloviki "suppressed rebellion": during the exercises, the defense of state and municipal facilities of the city was practiced during conditional riots. Note that in Ida-Virumaa, about 80% of the population are Russian-speaking residents. In Narva (the largest city in the region), more than 90% of the population is Russian. Experts interpreted the fact of the exercise as evidence that Tallinn really seriously fears the uprising of local Russians humiliated by unequal status, mass statelessness and persecution of their native language.

Note that the Minister of Internal Affairs of Estonia Hanno Pevkur spoke about the need for the participation of US special forces in guarding the border of the republic with Russia. He stated this during a meeting in Washington with US Homeland Security Minister Jeh Johnson. “In connection with the creation of a special border guard unit this year, one of the specific possibilities of such assistance is to invite US border special forces to train our unit. We are also waiting for the participation of the FBI special forces in large European exercises in Estonia next year, ”said Pevkur. In addition, he proposed his American counterpart to create a bilateral center for cybersecurity.

"Warthogs" on the warpath

Tallinn generally seeks to strengthen cooperation with other NATO countries. So, it became known that the military contingents of Germany and Great Britain would arrive in Estonia in 2016 year - the Commander of the Baltic Republic Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Riho Terras, informed about this. “We expect the arrival of German soldiers in June next year. We are negotiating with the British about the timing of the deployment of troops in our country, ”said Terras. According to the general, Denmark also expressed interest in a larger-scale participation in maneuvers held in Estonia.

As Terras recalled, more than 500 military personnel of NATO allies (mainly the US Army) with periodic rotation of the contingent are constantly in Estonia. In addition, fighters of the Alliance members deployed at Ämari Air Base protect the airspace of the Baltic countries. At present, the German Air Force contingent with four Eurofighter Typhoon fighters is on duty. This is the fifth shift of the so-called air police. The 12 A-10 American attack aircraft are also located in маmari, which will remain in Estonia at least until the beginning of the 2016 year. These attack aircraft are part of the 74 Squadron of the 23 Air Group of the United States Air Force stationed at Moody Air Force Base (Moody) in Georgia.

Note that in the US Armed Forces, A-10, resembling its angular appearance of a famous inhabitant of African savannahs, received the nickname "warthog." A-10 are distinguished by high strength and special protection of the pilot against fire from the ground. In fact, this is a kind of cocoon of titanium, called the "bath". Russians are most concerned about the fact that the "warthog" is capable of carrying nuclear and low-power nuclear ammunition. Such a plane can fly from Estonia to the border with the Russian Federation in just a few minutes. Nearby are St. Petersburg, a port in Ust-Luga, Novgorod, Pskov, other major cities, important infrastructure. It is clear that in the event of an attack, the Russian Armed Forces will not be idle.

But if on board the NATO attack aircraft weaponThis changes the whole picture. Even a single such type of ammunition is capable of causing truly terrible consequences. And what if the US moves to Estonia after the attack aircraft and nuclear charges?
Such a step, with all his madness, is still not quite impossible now. The German TV channel ZDF briefed the other day about the “beginning of the installation of American nuclear weapons of the new model at the military base of the Bundeswehr Fliehorst Büchel in Rhineland-Palatinate”. ZDF journalists seem to have documents confirming plans to deploy a new US tactical nuclear weapon in Europe. “In the event of war, the German pilots operating the Tornado type of aircraft will have to withdraw these bombs to combat positions within the framework of the so-called NATO nuclear participation strategy,” the television station said.

And what about the locals? Many of them met Americans without enthusiasm - although their discontent has a special touch.

“Today I was uncomfortable and ashamed because of the behavior of my compatriots. I watched at the Tapa training ground, along with the commander-in-chief of the US Air Force squadron who was at the exercises in Émari, as A-10 strike aircraft struck targets in collaboration with firearm from Estonia, the USA, Germany and a number of other countries. Beautiful weather and good teachings. I asked a colleague how three hundred-plus squadron servicemen feel in Estonia. He replied: “Just fine, very beautiful country, the Estonians are proud of their state, the houses are in order, the streets are clean. Only sometimes it is difficult for me to explain to my soldiers why they are mistreated in the city, although we came here to help and support your country. " I asked for clarification and found out that those allies whose skin color is different from the local ones have to suffer verbal and sometimes physical attacks in Tallinn, ”Jaak Tarien, commander-in-chief of the Estonian Air Force, told reporters.

It seems that this is not only a matter of xenophobia and racism of Estonians. Although many Balts were thoroughly powdered with propaganda, exposing the arriving Americans as “our defenders against possible Russian aggression,” not all residents of this region have forgotten how to analyze what is happening on their own. And they, of course, meet the newly-minted “defenders” with no particular enthusiasm, who can plunge their land into the abyss of military disasters ...

Such actions can be regarded unambiguously - as a threat to national security (territorial integrity). And we must talk about this publicly and openly. Regardless of the fact that Russia is a nuclear power. Here, first of all, it is necessary to assess the degree of readiness of the adjacent side, the potential, and the risks that this potential carries.

As one of the preventive measures (as it was in the USSR), deployment of some component of the strategic nuclear forces, which will have as its purpose the place (deployment) of military equipment of a potential enemy, can serve. Plus, it is necessary to officially inform the adjacent side, including through the media (in order to convey this information to the population of this country).

        PS
By the fact that Western politicians often tell us:"Oh, what are you worried about, you’re a nuclear power, so that you can always answer ..."
This is not necessary. This may not bother us as much as the Russian military base in Mexico may not bother the United States.

The concentration of the military along the border of a neighboring state in the world is regarded as preparation for a warrior. So it was by the rules.

It was all already under the USSR ... There were "Pioneers" related to the RSD Strategic Missile Forces ... and they were located in the Baltic states, Smolensk, Pskov, Leningrad regions ... And everything was quiet ...

That's when, at the behest of Hunchback, and then always drunk, they were cut - here rot and rolled ...

Now, in principle, the Pioneers' missions could be carried out by Iskanders with improved performance characteristics (I mean the flight range and the use of YAG) ... And also, no agreement will prevent the placement of Caliber on water platforms in large lakes ... On the water ??? So, it does not fall under the Non-Proliferation and Application Treaty ...

And who is stopping the launch of “Topol” because of the Urals? For Russia with its length, the limitation on the range of missiles affects only the speed of delivery, which in the case of nuclear weapons is not critical.

The army of Germany and Israel worked out the battle in urban conditions at the Tseelim training ground.

“Haaretz” notes that Berlin sought to hide the fact of the participation of its soldiers in the exercises, so the press was not allowed to photograph them. For maneuvers, the Bundeswehr sent one hundred soldiers and five units of heavy armored vehicles to the Jewish state.

Bundeswehr soldiers will undergo training in Israel for operations abroad. According to the German Financial Times (FTD), German pilots are currently participating in a six-week training course for Afghanistan, in which the Israeli Air Force and Israeli Aviation Industry will train them in handling the Heron 1 unmanned aircraft.

In fact, despite the assurances that “there will be no war”, “war is not possible” less and less is believed in this. Well, look - the information background is simply oversaturated with the word "war" with materials about the military, weapons, patriotic appeals, the whole is an information war in the form of propaganda (both from Russia and its "probable opponent" - the USA) . What is this if not a systematic preparation of the mass consciousness for war? If you analyze the period preceding World War I and II, you will see the same saturation of the information field with military topics and an increase in the tolerance of society towards it. Further, large-scale maneuvers of all types and types of troops, test checks of combat readiness, increasing the budget of the armed forces, creating a new type of information support and guiding the armed forces, testing new types of ammunition at ISIS, increasing the orbital constellation of military satellites, accelerating the construction of warships, re-equipping strategic nuclear forces and the reconstruction of the doomsday machine, finally the creation of the NTSUO - on the other hand, the creation of ISIS, the approximation of NATO infrastructure to the borders of the Russian Federation, the orange revolutions on post-Soviet territory Soviet space, the sanctions war - it's all to oranges to trade with each other ???

And 150 infantry man. Reinforced company. Such troops are relocating clearly realizing that no one intends to fight. This is the best proof that in the West they perfectly understand the peaceful essence of Russia and the complete security of the Baltic states.

At the beginning of 2010, there were 811 tanks, 1239 infantry fighting vehicles and armored personnel carriers of various types, 345 artillery and missile systems in the ground forces of the Kaliningrad Defensive Region. In the coming years, it is planned to build up the military potential of KOR. By 2012, the number of marines in the Kaliningrad region was planned to be increased to 4 thousand military personnel. You very accurately brought an analogy to the Finnish war. Only there the problem was that the Finnish border came very close to the industrial areas of Leningrad and the region. The USSR offered the finals an exchange of territories in order to push the Finnish border to strategic depth. They refused. Well, then the USSR began this war under some pretext.

The same situation with Kaliningrad. The grouping of the Russian Federation is powerful, but controlled through the supply line through the territory of the Baltic countries. The sea is also not much to haul.

Why not actually? Previously, there were exactly 3 (three!) T-72 tanks for all the proud Baltic states, which these undercuts leased to each other for participation in exercises, where they (tanks) were periodically drowned in mud when overcoming (which for the same estoooontsa epic feat!) anti-tank ditches. And now there are more tanks, and even some - the same American M1A2 "Abrams" - the hit of the season for russophobic autochthons from all three republics. And yet yes - they (Estonians, Latvians and Lithuanians) are now really ready for a war with Russia - they have not only powerful G-3 rifles (ex-Bundeswehr) and "Galil", as well as a variety of militarized junk mostly of Scandinavian and German origin , but also American equipment: M1A2 Abrams, M2 Bradley, and - tremble the Russian occupiers - the Warthog attack aircraft. We are waiting for these tanks to drown in local mud and swamps! fellow
But seriously, I believe that the Balts have one hope - since the Americans are driving their equipment and their soldiers to them, then they will protect the independence of the Baltic states from Russian aggression, in which case. Naive! laughing

Trendy. The preparation of the war is structural in nature, and not episodic media. Politico NATO carries a slow squeezing movement. Not for nothing that spending is limited to 2% of GDP, this is just the golden ratio for the development of defense, in which harmonious economic development is achievable. The defense sector complements the civilian sector and vice versa. The goal is the submission of the Russian Federation to the rules of Western civilization, at least. Otherwise, the weakening of the economy, the provocation of social rebellion, the buildup of centrifugal forces, and the collapse of Russia in a civil war. Even a cluster of civil wars. Methods: arms race, economic sanctions, growing "unsystematic" opposition, monetary policy buildup, space race for high orbit space, intellectual drainage. You can add a dozen smaller directions, but there is no open military confrontation there. They are not fools, to lose all the acquired good with one blow.

If this is not a preparation for war, then what?

This is the easiest fraud sponsored from across the ocean. Can anyone in their right mind suppose that a European country (even a military bloc) will be able to win a military dispute with Russia? It would be possible to “lower” the whole much-praised European missile defense system by launching a single Caliber in some sparsely populated area in order to verify the effectiveness of this system, but who will do it? Just as no one will agree to arrange a demonstration battle of the "invisible" with the S-400. However, we should not beat ourselves in the chest and prove our military “coolness”. The most important thing for people with a Western mentality is their own life, well-being and the integrity of their own treasures - "asses."

Let me remind you what Estonians did with the Western mentality with those whom they considered superfluous ...

In August 1942, soldiers and officers of the 36th police battalion, formed at the beginning of 1942 from volunteers in Estonia (Tartu, Kuressaare, Hiiumaa, Saaremaa), took part in an action to destroy the Jewish population in the area of the city of Novogrudok (Belarus).

According to the testimony of former protesters detained after the war, on August 3-4, the entire 36th police battalion was sent to Belarus, where he was unloaded at Novoelnya station, sent to Novogrudok and placed in barracks on the outskirts of the city. Mass executions by soldiers of this battalion were carried out in the area of Novogrudok, Novoelnya station and near the village of Dyatlovo, 20-30 kilometers from Novogrudok. At night, police cordoned off houses, drove residents, including women and children, into the square, forced them to lie face down on the ground awaiting loading, and then took them in separate batches in the morning in trucks to the places of execution. The detainees themselves were forced to dig ditches, into which they then dumped the executed. In total, around 1000 people were killed in the Novogrudok district, according to the testimonies of the detainees, from 1000 to 1500 people in the village of Dyatlovo. The battalion was in the area for about a month, after which it was transferred to Stalingrad.

This is only a small fraction of the crimes of the Baltic Nazis ... who have now become heroes for the modern Baltic ...
and I am sure that in the event of a new invasion of RUSSIA, everything will be repeated again for the Russian civilian population ... shootings, executions, and mockeries of our women, children and the elderly will also begin ... evidence of this event in UKRAINE.

And it is very dangerous to be superficial and naive about what is happening in the Baltic states.

Altogether, a total of about seventy vehicles were deployed in Lithuania, including five tanks and 13 infantry fighting vehicles.
Yes, well, dear readers - 5 tanks, two anti-tank calculations in half an hour will be destroyed. These five tanks are really scary. Now they will attack Russia.

I did not understand from the article, either they write about the threat of Russia from the United States and NATO, or the "suppression" of possible Russian uprisings in the Baltic states. It’s somehow petty for a threat, but to keep the Baltic States in the sphere of their interests is enough.

The United States has ceased to invest in AUG, and for 20 years they have invested exclusively in "divan troops." Someone told them that only in the age of the Internet can they win the war. Another 10-15 years, and the remaining Balts will believe that the evil Russians are so evil precisely because of their direct origin from tyrannosaurs. And no one would ever convince the Baltic states of the opposite. The youth is so duped that they are ready to run away into the woods with a pitchfork, to partisan against the Russians, who will certainly attack. Not now, just about, by the spring for sure. They also need to take from the Baltic states his beggarly pension of 90 euros, killed in the rubbish "Belarus" and a wooden barn with two cows. There are no more productions in Lithuania. And, yes, there is still a floating super terminal for liquefying Qatari gas at 500 euros per 1000 cubic meters. If anyone needs it.

Police special forces. Exercises to suppress the "unrest" of the population. So soon we should expect the adoption of all kinds of laws and "measures" to tighten the conditions for the Russian-speaking population of the Baltic states. "Spratodels" / manuals / BIG problems with brains against the background of Russophobia. They are not good. The recent statement by the GDP on the protection of compatriots abroad is comforting.

2018 year. West coast of Mexico. Unloading ships under Russian flags. Armored vehicles (T-90, ARMATA) are sent on semitrailers to the north of the country, to the border with the United States. A few months later, the US Congress decides to withdraw its contingent from the Baltic republics. Or maybe it's not fiction, but "memories of the future"?

Well, the tank battalion isn’t fighting yet. It is a couple of days to identify them as goals and work out in a convenient way. Although patching nerves and personnel in a particular area of course can. A-10 is much more dangerous, you can always find a "clever" pilot to provoke a conflict. I’m unlikely to fly with nuclear toys, it will be more expensive for myself, but a “random” flight zone of responsibility of the air defense of the Russian Federation is quite possible. On the subject of probing what we have in the area of air defense.
And even if such an airplane is shot down ... the airplane itself is not a pity, this is flying trash for normal air defense, the pilot will also receive compensation at home (maybe). But what a resonance on the sidelines of the information war .... here it is just not enough.

The president needs to announce in advance that everyone who has left Russia in advance, no one will release the Balts in a new war. We have no extra fighters, and high-precision missiles will not be enough for everyone.

Again one haha? And why does NOBODY write about the order of our president to pay close attention to the successfully pumped and fucked GO programs in our country? About working with the public and developing new personal protective equipment against chemical and other WMD? I remember very well that in the USSR, at every more or less serious enterprise, there were people responsible for civil defense programs, kits of OZK, gas masks and other equipment for work shifts were stored .. Tell me, how long have you had to not only see, but at least hear , about the fact that any exercises were held at boiler houses, power plants, water intakes, and other structures of our cities, would people know the staff list, and so on? Do you yourself know (your relatives and friends) where is the nearest bomb shelter, for example? If the West is clearly preparing for war, then our people (I'm not talking about the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation) continue to pick their nose .. The flywheel of the new World War has long gained momentum, only the blind can’t see it .. Today there are five tanks on our border, tomorrow there are five more. Who will count how many of them can be collected in a couple of months? And if the president offers to pay attention to the means of protecting the population ... - I think that jokes are inappropriate ..

What confuses me in this story is different — how can Russia have normal relations with countries where Russians were stripped of their citizenship and made into second-class people? Even a small country does not behave this way ..
