A soldier of the 335-th separate battalion of the Interior Troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in Yekaterinburg was convicted by the visiting board of the Moscow District Court under Part 2 Art. 205.5 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - participation in an organization that is recognized as terrorist. Employees of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation in the Sverdlovsk region established the involvement of an 22-year-old private in the activities of the extremist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir al-Islami, which was banned in the Russian Federation.
The press service of the UFSB of the Russian Federation in the Sverdlovsk region, which leads the news agency Interfax, it says that the young man became a member of Hizb ut-Tahrir even before he started his military service, but he kept all contacts with an extremist organization while serving in the army.
It should be noted that the criminal case against the Ural private was initiated about a year ago. The court found that the soldier posted extremist publications on the Internet and tried to recruit new members from among his colleagues to Hizb ut-Tahrir.

Away the Moscow District Military Court accused convicted of committing a crime, under Part. 2 Art. 205.5 of the Criminal Code of Russia and sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment with serving a sentence in a penal colony. The court took into account the positive characteristics of the accused from their places of residence and service, and the fact that the soldier was brought to trial for the first time and entered into a pre-trial agreement with the investigation.
The name of the convicted serviceman is not called.
