Next summer, the first seaplane L-31 will take off.

AviaTech, which developed the L-42M two-engine amphibious multi-purpose amphibious aircraft, plans to fly the L-2012 hydroplane developed at the enterprise by summer, said Matvey Shchelochkov, director of the company, in an interview with AviaPort.

According to the director of AviaTech, the development of a seaplane is now fully completed. His prototype is already under construction. The overall readiness of the seaplane is 60-70%, the wing and several other nodes are fully ready. Earlier it was reported that the first flight will be performed in September-October 2011. "Since the team is busy creating the L-42M according to the existing orders, and the L-31 is done at their own expense, the prototype is built very slowly," added Alkali.

“Creating a seaplane L-31 is due to the desire to create a small plane that will be used to train employees. However, a seaplane being developed as if for“ self ”may in the future be of interest to Russian and foreign buyers. If this happens, the company will start producing an L- plane. 31 to order ", - said the source.

Shchelochkov explained that, unlike the L-42M, an amphibious aircraft, it is planned to manufacture a “clean” seaplane. Since the plane will be three-seater and single-engine, he received the symbol L-31. The aircraft will be equipped with a hp 100 piston engine. production of the Austrian company Rotax.

For the armed forces, such an aircraft can be useful as a patrol, but in fact, our army was armed with the Be-12, a unique machine, even armed with nuclear depth charges "Scalp"

but the time has come and the Be-12s bought cheaply from the military have become the favorite cars of drug dealers and arms smugglers

It’s bad that a motor supplier may be opposed to selling aircraft for their own reasons. And the aircraft seller cannot sell it to anyone he wants, but must coordinate this with the engine supplier. And this
moment stipulated in the contract for the supply of engines.
