The Syrian army, with the support of aviation of the Russian Aerospace Force, continues the offensive in the suburb of Damascus Jobar

49
The Syrian armed forces continue to attack the positions of militants in one of the suburbs of Damascus - Jobar. More than five thousand militants of terrorist groups have been firmly entrenched in this area, holding the suburbs for about two years. The positions of Dzhebhat al-Nusra, militant groups representing one of Al-Qaida’s wings, are the strongest in Jobar.

Complicating the advance of the Syrian troops in advance is that under Jobar the terrorists managed to dig literally tens of kilometers of underground passages and equip several bunkers.

Representatives of the command of the Syrian government army units say that today the fierce fighting in Jobar is literally for every house, and in order to destroy the militants entrenched in one building or another, you have to block all the exits from the underground labyrinths . Attention is drawn to the fact that a similar tactic has been used previously and is still being used by militants in the territory of Afghanistan.

In an interview with a correspondent "First Channel" The representative of the Syrian troops says:
I know for sure that in one building only there were up to 60 terrorists. This house is no more. Today we destroyed their command post. But, of course, our biggest problem is their underground passages.

Accidental strikes of Russian help to destroy underground communications of fighters in Jobar aviation for proven goals.

Video from VGTRK (video sequence published on Alexander Pushin’s YouTube channel):

It was from Jobar a few days ago that gunmen shot at the territory of the Russian diplomatic mission in Damascus. Then, as a result of the shelling, several Syrians were injured, who participated in a rally in support of the actions of the Russian Federation in Syria.

I am glad for the allies that they are freeing their land from "moderate" and not very moderate cannibals.
It is not for nothing that the West began to sing about peacekeepers who are supposed to protect the objects of UNESCO.
More recently, the cannibals of Palmyra were smashed, so for some reason they were silent.
Good luck to our VKS in their noble cause!

This is an attempt to prevent Assad from taking control of the entire territory of the country. Assad, translated as a leopard. (Eastern languages do not distinguish between a lion and a leopard, from that I translate as a leopard, because leopards (leopards) are there and were there, but with the lions, alas, no luck.)

No, well, what are the point strikes of the aerospace forces in a dense urban area?

Geology does not allow digging everywhere, there are many basements in the trading areas, warehouses are usually built there, this is already a landmark. Where geology does not allow digging a tunnel, embankments are made and covered with debris from above, disguising as ruins. From a drone, such "ruins" are calculated at a time, then the ends of such a tunnel are indicated, there will most likely be a cluster of subjects. By the way, bombing such "mounds" themselves is a thankless task, there is a small probability of hitting targets, but they recover very quickly, funnels help to mask movement even better. The third moment, night thermal imaging, allows you to designate the accumulation of targets in certain places, the nature of the movement. A "point" strike does not mean knocking out one Faberge out of two, it means confidently hitting the chosen target with one or two b / n. If in this case, "non-point" goals accidentally suffer, excuse me, inshallah!

      Dogs:

actions of groups of special forces

The task of specialists is not an assault attack, after an air or arthur. Specialists work unexpectedly, for a specific object, with a specific task. It may be a consolidated unit reinforced by specialists, but a commander who managed to put his specialists in such an assault attack must be employed as a gatekeeper to a pederast club. Unfortunately those were. Moreover, they still blather from the high stands, writhing themselves heroes.

        Not so simple.
In our experience in Lebanon, such airborne
tunnel systems are being worked out very
badly. Even if the Air Force pre-shot the area in detail,
part of the exits go unnoticed.
When the area is surrounded and cleaned (approximately) on the surface
        infantry and tanks, then combing
terrain (literally you have to go in chain). Discovered
the sappers undermine the entrances to underground burrows with charges.
Sometimes a combustible aerosol was pumped there and set on fire.
And it’s not a fact that the militants remained underground, but did not leave
        through some undetected exit.
Success criterion: if after a month in the area - strong cadaver
smell, then the militants remained underground. If not, have gone.

          Not so simple.

Your geology is slightly different. Near Damascus, solid rocky ridges, the foundations of houses even stand on them, and cellars hollowed generations of families. Gaza already has other tunnels, deeper. Today, Syrian cities, horror films can be removed, from that the burrow is not very deep, in order to hide the movement. The methods are also different, you can heal signal rockets, fill up the entrance and see where colored smoke is falling, there with mortars. Thermobar, burns out oxygen, then you take out the faithful fresh, clean, with all the weapons, but not breathing. Counter-tunneling events, when you listen from different holes where they dig, by the way, an ordinary stethoscope, thing! I recommend, better than any electronic device, a stainless steel square close to the wall of the object and listen. You can even hear direction changes. Aki is a dohtor. smile

But in its findings, the IIPP, which is led by Kimberly Kagan, relative of Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nulandagrees with official US responses. Military experts believe that Assad’s allies will be required to attract greater financial and military costs than previously assumed.

If rats - then it will be more correct to deratization.

Deratization (fr. Dératisation - literally "extermination of rats") - comprehensive measures to exterminate rodents (rats, mice, voles, etc.).

Food poisons (in the form of baits), traps, gaseous poisons, electronic traps, ultrasonic scare devices are used. Sometimes, for the purpose of deratization, biological methods are used - cats, dogs.

The problem of disinfestation against mice is exacerbated by the end of summer, when the proliferating population is looking for places for wintering.

The most effective is the spread of poisonous baits, with an anticoagulant poison that prevents blood coagulation. Rodents who ate such a bait do not die immediately, but after a few days, from internal bleeding.

at the beginning of perestroika, a translated magazine "Soldiers of Fortune" appeared on sale, there were interesting articles about various conflicts in different parts of our planet, events in Afghanistan were also described, and there I read an interesting experience of fighting the Mujahideen who were hiding in the tunnels of underground irrigation systems, which existed since the time of Alexander the Great, and had a length of tens of kilometers. And they did this: they found a well in a tunnel, set a box with explosives on the bottom, and hung an ordinary grenade above the entrance, connected everything in series with a detonating cord! Since the length of the cord was different, for a split second the grenade above the entrance to the well exploded earlier and created an airlock and the explosion of the main charge turned out to be directed and spread along the tunnel! An even greater effect of such a detonation is if you find 2 entrances to the same hole and plant explosives at both ends, all who find themselves inside die from barotrauma. Even with the help of such explosions, it is possible to identify and undetected outputs, knocks out all the "traffic jams" with a shock wave!

People - do not focus on some tunnels, there is also an anthill in every high-rise building.
It seems to me optimal to gasp all the cigars from Moscow (if they are without special warheads), but plus or minus accuracy of more than 3 m will come out, but there you can safely turn the whole suburb into dust. How can they be completely destroyed at home without demolition then? One fucking demolition is almost inevitable, so why not help?
