The state of terrorists - ISIL (organization banned in the Russian Federation) - has become a military opponent of Russia. This happened not only because of the start of hostilities of our army in Syria on the side of the regime of Bashar al-Assad and the presence of the Caucasus on the maps of Islamists, but also due to changes in the ranks of the militant terrorist formation. According to the Russian Planet, former officers of the Arab Socialist Renaissance Party (BAAS) are actively on the side of the jihadists, which contributes to the aggressive phase of the war for the expansion of territories.
As a source close to the Islamic State explained to the Russian Planet, it is already known that Izzat Ibrahim ad-Duri, ex-deputy of Saddam Hussein and the secretary of the Ba'ath secretary, Izzat Ibrahim ad-Duri, ex-deputy head, entered the IG leadership. Thus, we can conclude that ISIS reassigns itself even to conservative groups of the Arab world, which were initially negatively disposed towards it. The political scientist is convinced that in the ranks of the IG they found themselves in general by chance: they fought as partisans against the Yankees who had seized Iraq. Americans were hanged by Saddam, and his Fedayins were in the category of "terrorists." If it were possible to detach these people from the IS, the group would weaken militarily very strongly. The deputy editor-in-chief of the newspaper Izvestia, Anastasia Kashevarova, reminded the RP that a video appeared on the network about the victims in Syria from alleged air strikes of our Aerospace Forces. The Baathists are specially targeted against the Russian Federation, the journalist concludes.

The head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, explained to the federal media, Izvestia and the Russian Planet, that the patrons of the Iblis state began to show anxiety and are trying to incite the Sunnis from the Baath Party against Russia. I ask you not to give in to these provocations of the special services. They gave rise to al Qaeda, Iblis state, destroyed Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq, caused chaos in Egypt. Open your eyes to it! The guardians of the Iblisian state, who raised their heads in individual countries, act on the orders of their Western masters, who are concerned about the prospect of eliminating the IG and restoring peace in the Middle East. This is not in their plans. Their task is to maintain for decades the military conflicts in the region, to divert from other world problems, to keep raw materials under constant control. No one should doubt the firmness of the position of the Russian leadership on the Middle East problem. We cannot endlessly listen to threats against us, silently observe how an international terrorist organization is gathering at our side, destroying countries and shedding the blood of millions of people. IG days are numbered. For those who are looking for addresses, I inform you that I am the first pilot of Russian aviation who dealt a blow to the positions of the Iblis state. "I am Fedayin Saddam"
In 2003, the war began in Iraq. I can tell you how we saw it - the young military leaders and people involved in the patriotic cause. At that time, we were reading out literature that was already permitted - books by Julius Evola and Guenon, were evil anti-Americanists, and pushed the thresholds of the Iraqi embassy, where we were asked to send us, as Spanish volunteers, to help “good Saddam” to “beat bad Yankees”. The Arabs smiled at the magnificent pitch whiskers, but did not hurry to send us anywhere.
At the embassy, where we had already become accustomed, and without embarrassment, we moved along long corridors, then leafing through incomprehensible books in Arabic, or devastating the kitchen, we were taken for our own people, affectionately calling Saddam fedadins. Towards the summer, a letter was delivered from the son of Saddam Udey Hussein al Tikriti. He wrote that, despite the aggression of the imperialists, Iraq will survive, the gardens of Baghdad will rustle, and the good old life will begin under the wise leadership of the Ba'ath Party. Separately, he said thanks to the Russian friends, but refused to help, asserting that there was no one more devoted to the Iraqi army. Of course, all these were common words, and Uday himself would be killed in Mosul in a shootout in a month and a half.
We must pay tribute: the real Fedayin Saddam - and it was a volunteer police - lasted until the fall of the regime of Hussein and then joined the partisan movement. This organization was created by Uday in 1995 and became its commander-in-chief. True, the idea of Udei to turn this militia into an elite personal army failed. In September, the scandal broke 1996: Saddam Hussein suddenly found out that high-tech military equipment and heavy machinery strangely flow from the Republican Guard to the Fedaiins.
Of course, now the Fedains of Saddam are put up in an unattractive form - allegedly they carried out all the whims of their commander: throughout the country they captured beautiful girls for him, cut off tongues from opponents of the regime and intimidated the population. And in 1998, in the Shiite city of Karbala, the Fedayins in black robes and black helmets Darth Vader covered their faces raided people who they suspected of attempting to attack BAAS secretary Izzat Ibrahim - hundreds of people were thrown into prison and tortured.

This armed group took an active part in the executions of prostitutes organized by Uday Hussein. But at the same time, when the invasion of Iraq began, the command of the US Army declared: "It is not the regular units of the Iraqi army that have the most fierce resistance, but the so-called Saddam fedahins are fanatically paramilitary units."
During the war, Uday said that the war should be total and there should be no one left who could rejoice over the victory over Iraq. And then the massacre in Umm Qasr, in Basra, in Az-Zubayr, in An-Nasiriyah, in An-Najaf was already in full swing ...
By the way, in Arabic “Fedayin” means “sacrificing himself.” After the fall of Saddam’s regime, the Fedayins, the commanders close to him, launched a partisan movement in Iraq and fought fanatically against the US Armed Forces. When the Islamic State began to take shape in the province, many of the militia joined its ranks - this explains the victories of the Islamic State.
But what about Izzat Ibrahim?
Russia's interest in the defeat of the takfirist grouping in Syria and Iraq arises in part because of the traditional friendly relations between Moscow and the countries that took shape during the Soviet era. Therefore, according to experts, the union of takfirists from the IG and the Baathists is extremely unpleasant for the Russian Federation, since the Baath League has always been a part of the Russian orbit of influence.
In addition, the reluctance of the official Baghdad to deal with the militants could lead to the displacement of the current regime and the strengthening of ISIS in Iraq, which is likely to lead to the return of the caliph to Syria and further, according to plans to establish control over many Arab, African and Central Asian countries. The latter can not but worry Russia, next to which Tajikistan and Uzbekistan are located.
In a conversation with the “Russian Planet”, the President of the Society for Friendship and Business Cooperation with Arab countries Vyacheslav Matuzov noted that he doubted the active participation of Baathists in the IG. According to him, all the talk about the role of "Saddam officers" among ISIS is conducted only to disguise the role of the United States in creating this terrorist structure.
"It is unlikely that all of them can be classified as" militants "by the state of age and health.

Konstantin Sivkov, First Vice-President of the Academy of Geopolitical Problems, Doctor of Military Sciences, believes that the officers from the BAAS are actually Russian allies. Many of them were trained in academies in our country, he recalls.
“Therefore, first of all, the Russian special services need to work with them, establish contacts and transfer them to the number of allies of the Syrian government forces. Because these guys are actually fighting not for the “Islamic State”, they are fighting for the liberation of their country from the occupation regime, which they consider the current Iraqi authorities, who were imprisoned by the United States, ”explains Sivkov.
According to the expert, the Iraqi military need to get in touch, look for common ground for interaction and explain to them the prospects for the return of an independent Iraq. This is the only right strategy will deal a serious blow to the IG.
“As for the range of proposals for them, it is quite wide. It can be suggested that they go over to the side of the Syrian government and guarantee the corresponding social status in the army. The second step will be a guarantee of participation in the political life of Iraq, a return to the Iraqi army to the same positions and, perhaps, even an increase, taking into account the experience gained. The most important thing is to guarantee them that Iraq will no longer be under American control, and they will thus be able to take part in the liberation of Iraq from the American occupation, ”said Sivkov.
Obviously, the military formations winning victories throughout the Middle East are precisely the Fedadins of Saddam, the personnel soldiers trained by Russian specialists. Bomb attacks, the defeat of the Iraqi grouping in Syria is the main task, but we must remember that the problems will not be solved only with TNT rugs. Moscow should resume friendly contacts with the Ba'ath. After that, the IG will fall. The army of Saddam can become a friend of Russia.
