      big "menagerie"

Interestingly, there is a catalog of "products" in Kubinka.
Thank you for the review, but it's better to see it with your own eyes.

Had been, been ... Thanks for the great photos. When I was there, there was some kind of repair, and there was dust in my fingers thick on the tanks, the photos were not very successful. And your wonderful ones, (with your permission))), I’ll take them to the collection))).

Photos pleased, but the explanation for them is not very. Too many mistakes and inaccuracies.
For example, at the very beginning:
    Anti-tank SAU "Nimrod"

Although this machine armed with an 40 mm anti-aircraft gun was originally designed as a tank destroyer, it was used primarily as a ZSU.

There, not only the kingpin was lost, but also a number of rollers on the first "tiger".

With the rollers on the Tiger, everything is fine, but with the paint - trouble. For the Tiger from Kubinka is a pre-production car, and the color is taken from the later version from the western front. This is wrong - it is necessary to paint the tanks in historical colors - this Tiger was captured by gray, and should stand like that ...

Once again: thanks, Roman! I did get there this weekend. Say "great!" - say nothing. Just a photo selection in the topic - to refresh your impressions. The only thing, as already mentioned, is that some of the plates do not correspond to the exhibited samples - apparently, the museum staff (tank !!!) still does not know much about the materiel, but this is fixable. Again hi

Well, the author is still +, how many years he dreamed of visiting here and this year it turned out, going on vacation, changed the route to 2 thousand kilometers, but fulfilled his dream and visited Kubinka, and showed his daughter how our great-grandfathers and grandfathers fought, plans to visit in Stalingrad.

Good selection of photos. We had in May, the Latrun Tank Museum, the equipment was already rusted, there was no renewal of the park, but it's a pity

I’ll probably now call some envy (white) members of the forum if I say that I visit this wonderful place every summer, or even more than once. Cottage 40 km from Kubinka. By the way, the very first time was in this exposition when it was not a museum in 1997. It was a closed scientific research institute BTT. Probably someone would be surprised, but all the equipment was painted in the same color (ours-green as in the present, German-early in t / gray, late in green. Only the mortar TOP in t / gray. Anglo-Amer and the other one is also green but slightly different, with the exception of the M-60 (gray-olive) that was passed on to us by Egyptian friends.)
In general, the situation was not museum and rather dull. But the lecture is mmmmm ..... (for the General Staff of the Ministry of Defense). The lecture was conducted by a colonel who, in his youth, personally took part in landing on the first parachute systems inside the BMD. I will never forget his story in a purely army language. Photos and audio were prohibited. (Apparently, the privacy mode has not yet been removed from the object). And then: a museum, children, toys on trays. But somewhere in the 2000s, they began to paint equipment (apparently together with enthusiasts) for the originals. It became more interesting.

Many universities and museums are promoting virtual 3-D. Where can you travel using a PC or tablet. There is only one museum, the country is big, not everyone can come, but they want to see it. There are technical capabilities. True, the museum itself is somewhere in a hangar and in cramped conditions, the place for the museum in the new center could be made "Army-2015", where modernity would be close to veterans. IMHO.

Here is the paradox! Japanese tanks, language doesn’t dare to call these constructions tanks - the hero is simply the crew that is against this bank, well, even Sherman was leaving, to say nothing of the T 34 ... And the IS 2 crew probably would not have noticed this box. ..) And our ISs, our T 34! just the masterpieces of military thought!
now the creators of these self-moving tin piles produce beautiful Honda, Mazda, Tayota and many other beautiful cars. But why did the followers of the GREAT Designers who created the best tanks of the war, who were afraid for a long time after the war, created a prior, viburnum with a grant! ??? Why is that? It's a shame ... the loser of the war drives a Honda and the winner on a grant ...

I’ve been to the museum twice, judging by the photo material, some collection updating took place, symbols and flags appeared on the cars ... A wonderful museum !!! there is a video in nete how the museum launched the T-35 (five-tower masterpiece), the guys rode it around the territory, surpassed it on chip tuning)
