Journey from point "A" to "B" and back

38
Let's compare a certain country "A" and a country "B" in terms of living standards and a little later in terms of the spirit level. Immediately, we note that the evaluation criteria will be different, that the methodologists from “A” emphasized thousands of tons of steel, centners of grain harvest, convincing their citizens that soon, very soon everyone will have total happiness, full shelves of goods in the store and world peace .

The “B” countries focused on private property, freedom of speech and the opportunity to receive everything at once as remuneration for work, and not later, after building some kind of ideal society in an ideal country, as in “A.” At the collision of the real and the perfect, boiled jeans and pepsi-cola won.

Residents of country "A" for some reason decided that, having exchanged a dream for chewing gum, they would receive all the bonuses of countries "B", and the advantages of their system in the social sphere, education, medicine and in many other things will remain automatically. Residents of country "A" have always been dreamers in a good and bad sense, and country "B" had more calculation and pragmatism.

As a result, the state "A" collapsed into pieces of 15, each of which was sure that he would join the clan "B", but for some reason they all turned out to be at the point "F". This happens when, instead of equipping your country, you take bead mirrors, chewing gum and cookies out of the greedy hands.

Some time passed, the chewing gum and cola became boring to the inhabitants of the “A” countries, and they again began to dream ... In a good sense of the word. We got so frivolously abandoned the Dream, and with it the Hope, and about to gain Objective and Meaning, they cannot but gain.

And what about country "B"? Without a dream, a person becomes stupid, society degrades, the country becomes shallow. Men cease to be men, women are women, they deprive children of their childhood. When new barbarians arrive, there is neither the power nor the will to stop them.

Those who are obliged to be a warrior, dance in a rainbow parade, those who should inspire him to the feat - a stupid feminist, one who should lead them - thinks about re-election.

And I live in a country of dreamers, in the best sense of the word, in a country of winners, pioneers in space and the Arctic, strong in spirit and hardworking people. You could continue to continue, but I'm sorry, it's time to change, you have to make your own contribution to the dream.

So it turns out that living in a country of dreamers is more interesting, and in a country of programmers it is more profitable. And which is better? It is not necessary to answer, it is advisable to calmly think for yourself.

I have never regretted in my life that I was born in the USSR. that I live in RUSSIA. I served in the army that everyone was afraid of, I live in a country that has found the strength to get up from its knees and forced myself to respect.

I highly recommend looking at the statistics. And to hell with income, absolute and / or per capita, the purchasing power of average earnings, the number of sausages in the average supermarket and other similar things. Things that really should be put at the forefront are quality of life (not to be confused with the level), and children's perspectives.
Compare the crime rate (let's say killings on XXXX souls of the population). Estimate that they are eager to go to country B for permanent residence, legally or illegally, and to A even half-hearted compatriots from the former Soviet republics, oppressed by local authorities on a national basis, do not tear, and only indigenous peoples from the poorest former republics go to the subject earn extra money. Someone who can afford to get treatment also somehow from A to B, and not vice versa. Well, and in many ways as a result of the foregoing, what is the life expectancy?
Well, and education. Take the first hundred universities in the world rankings. There is more than half of B there, but somehow it is not observed from A, and the current somewhere in the middle of the second hundred marked the capital's university, and even lower the university of the second capital and technical of the first. Where do children have better prospects in terms of learning?
And a dream ... In country B there is also a dream, though much less socialized and more down to earth - to acquire a house, to educate children, and save so much for old age so as not to be completely dependent on the state or on children.
As they say, to each his own.
You can minus, only the statistics from this will not change.

I have no desire to pass, but I want to clarify:
Education in our school is not bad, in relation to theirs, I noticed it myself. As for the rating, you don’t have to dramatize like that, the cost of studying at prestigious universities is not available to almost anyone, you can ask yourself. The topic of elite education, I somehow raised myself (check), but this is not directly related to education on average. There they talked about breakthrough technologies, no more.

I add, the procedure for obtaining citizenship is very complex and lengthy. I, who was born in the USSR in Russia, will have to spend about 3 years. And my children - about 5 at best. This is one of the reasons why they do not come from the former Soviet republics.

If you just minus it, there’s not much point in it. Just let me debate. Let’s start with the main thing - we will start with the standard of living and income. You can’t put the United States on a par with other countries - this also applies to the leading European countries. The financial system and production structure are designed in such a way that the whole world works for the US and European countries (very few), and only they get cream. And of these incomes, they feed their population. So the quality of life is higher - due to the robbery (I'm not afraid of this word) of others.
About the crime rate - you do not even need to talk. This is an individual issue, but in the United States it is higher than in Russia, and even more so than in Europe - and this is not an indicator. One or two psychopaths, or a dozen or two ideological ones (11. 09. or the Red Brigades in Germany) can bring down statistics in this direction of entire countries for many years. To be treated is also different here. In many countries there are narrow specialists who are superior to those from other countries - they go to them. Hispanic people now often go to Cuba for treatment - this is also an indicator, but it is unlikely that you will take it into account. Although it is clear who has more money, the one has higher diagnostic capabilities. And diagnostics now - 80 percent of success.
About education - not even worth talking about. Despite many problems, our education is still higher than in the USA. And the ratings ... There was such a joke:
      - What is an American university?
“This is the place where Russian professors teach Chinese students!”
If you have mass media in your pocket, then you can draw any ratings!
And it’s completely incomprehensible to me why the Massachusetts Technological Institute is listed extremely highly, and practically in no way inferior to it the MSTU. Bauman or the Ural Polytechnic University are not included in these ratings. Maybe that’s why they don’t come in, in the case of comparison, they took places only slightly lower, or even higher than the first? And do not give examples of the number of Nobel laureates - there, even Sakharov was not given a prize for physics research, and hell knows for what - because he opposed the system.
And about the dream - the USSR did not become - and in the USA, dreams landed - and outside the house-grub-clothes, etc. don't go out. request
There was a race for space - the first USSR. Then the race for the moon - the first United States. Prepared for the exploration of the moon and the race for Mars. The USSR did not - and degraded! Now no one has the opportunity to fly to the moon, and the United States is even losing the chance of flying into space. But the refrigerators are completely full, electronic gadgets change the most advanced ones every six months - this is a dream so a dream! bully But cars are now much less reliable than in the 80s-90s - compare the Golf 3 and Audi - 80,100 with the current ones - and the current ones are made specifically for the consumer society, so that after 10 years they’ll probably be disposed of and provided by others, more expensive, more elaborate, newer and more prestigious, although they are needed for the same thing - to transport yourself.
And they make a race for elusive happiness like that - to have more new and more elusive gadgets - and is this a dream?
As the girl says in a Russian advertisement of mayonnaise - one should dream about great things, not about food!

So the quality of life is higher - due to the robbery (I'm not afraid of this word) of others.

And what surprises anyone here? Humanity is limited by the territory of planet Earth and the resources of planet Earth. Peoples can only survive at the expense of other peoples. States (and therefore the leadership of states) can survive only at the expense of their people. The difference can only be in the interaction, it will be parasitism or symbiosis. So it was and will be. And we are exactly the same. If we didn’t have such a huge territory on which purely statistically there would be more resources, we would have robbed Africa, Asia and other America in the same way. Now the screams will begin - Oh, you are so-and-so, we are not like that, we are angels in the flesh, you have sold yourself, you will perish ... For those screaming, I’ll remind you of serious conversations at VO that our special services need to arrange a massacre in the East so that the price of oil can be adjusted . I can continue the list of examples.

about the crime rate - you don’t even need to talk. This is an individual issue, but in the USA it is higher than in Russia, and even more so than in Europe - and this is not an indicator.

I agree only that the issue is an individual smile There is a "citizen-state" and "citizen-citizen" relationship. In the first case, in any state, a person is a disenfranchised beast. But in the second case, in countries "B", the citizen-victim is more protected from rights and there they use this right. Let me explain with a simple example. Gopnik squeezed the phone. We wrote a statement. The organs took him. The mother of a gopnik ran to the victim with tears, they say, do not ruin the fate of her son, take away the statement. In country "A" the application will be taken away in 99% (and this is wrong), in country "B" the application will not be taken away in 99% (and this is correct). There are a great many options for such situations in real life, + we have higher corruption, + a bunch of different nuances that take a long time to paint. Hence the difference in the number of convicts.

Despite many problems, our education is still higher than in the USA.

This is a fallacy of our citizens, who live memories of education in the USSR. Already lower. It will be even lower.

And it is absolutely incomprehensible to me why the Massachusetts Technological Institute is listed extremely highly, and practically in no way inferior to it MSTU. You can find on the net information about the number of REAL developments in the works of students and their curators for these three universities, thereby partially answering your question. For me personally, this is the main criterion.

What, I didn't understand. Maybe I missed something about 9.11, and the Red Brigades too.
About 9.11. There was a New Zealand film (banned in the states) called "9.11 in plan", so it clearly, frame by frame, shows that the engines on the plane are not "Rolls-Royce", which should be on "Boing", but "Pratt & Whitney", which have never been put on a civilian "Boing", only the glider resembles "Boing". But here's the trick, there are no viewing windows that are on all civilian aircraft, and a huge radar antenna, very strong, which has never been installed on civilian aircraft, insolently protrudes from below. According to the examination, it turns out that this is a military "S-10", in shape very similar to the Boing. In another movie, a woman screams heart-rendingly: "this is not american airlines ... this is not american airlines" (trans.: This is not an American airline). I suspect that not only were there no passengers, but the crew too, as can be seen from the fantastic handling, with unacceptable overloads not only for the passengers but for the crew too. Looks like a very cool setup. Maybe I'm wrong? I doubt it.
As for the "Red Brigades", so translate the name of Rothschild from German (Dutch) into Russian, you will get a "red flag". Doesn't it look like anything? And what comes out, who financed all these brigades? I'm not going to prompt. Nothing is free. If there are psychopaths, then they are very well paid.

Oh, nonsense about education. We even have a provincial university of Voronezh, and even after all the idiotic reforms, it still shows a MUCH better level of education, for example, in languages. Look at least American Russists or correspondents working in Russia. The accent is monstrous, you can scare with oral speech instead of guns (in the sense of intelligibility). And these are those who have finished far from the worst of their institutions. It was also possible to compare historians with Cambridge diplomas. Not at all impressed. Look at the tales of the level of education in world rankings, and the real level of competence and professionalism of specialists. The level of American modern education simply shines on the face of a graduate philosopher Jane Psaki or philologist and historian Hilary Clinton ... squalor.
