September 11 - Day of the Specialist of Educational Agencies of the Armed Forces of Russia
In Russia, September 11 is the Day of Specialist of the educational work of the Armed Forces. The holiday is relatively new - appeared on the Russian calendar in 2007. It is patriotic education that can be called the basis for the training of future officers, on the basis of which educational standards are formed in military higher educational institutions as well as pre-university educational institutions (Suvorov and Nakhimov schools, cadet corps).
Today, in every military district there are special educational structures, the officers of which are engaged in working with personnel. Educational functions are assigned, of course, to the teaching staff of military schools and military training centers. Psychological aid points are active in the district troops, whose specialists help recruits to adapt to the new army life. Psychological assistance in the framework of general educational work in the army is aimed at the realization that the defense of the Fatherland is an honorable duty, which, among other things, allows you to acquire additional skills, build character, the ability not only to be, but also to solve important tasks in a team setting. An important aspect of the work of military educators is the inculcation in young military personnel (future military personnel) of the understanding that the defense of the Motherland is the most important task facing a responsible and worthy citizen.
It is worth paying attention to the fact that clergy are engaged in educational work in the troops. Some of them themselves wore officer uniform a little while ago, participated in combat operations. The Ministry of Defense reports that the educational process conducted by the clergy in the Armed Forces, very qualitatively complements the classical educational process - one that is carried out in accordance with strictly statutory requirements.
The system of educational work in the army can include numerous functioning military history museums, soldiers' clubs and garrison houses of officers. Often, a young army visiting a museum of a military unit gives an opportunity to touch its traditions, which is an effective educational and educational moment.
Military educators say that educational work is also carried out in the format of meetings with veterans of the Great Patriotic War, local armed conflicts. And the effectiveness of such meetings is also hardly possible to overestimate.
