Truck GAS "Sadko-Next"

42
In the late nineties, the GAZ-66 GAZ-3308 "Sadko" was adopted by the Russian army to replace the deserved "old man" GAZ-XNUMX. The creation of this car made it possible to begin updating the fleet of the armed forces, even in difficult economic conditions. A few years later, there were new messages about the possible further development of the medium-tonnage sector of army vehicles. Last year a new truck was introduced, which in the future could replace the existing Sadko in the army.

Last summer, during the exhibition CTT-2014, GAZ Group presented several new vehicles for various purposes, including a truck, offered as a replacement for existing GAZ-3308. Later this car was demonstrated several times at other exhibitions, including the “Army-2015” forum. The new development of the GAZ Group is known as Sadko-Next. In addition, in some sources the designations GAZ-C41A23 and GAZ-C41A43 are found. According to reports, the new truck is a deep modernization of existing equipment with enhanced characteristics.

A truck with the wheel formula 4х4 and a number of innovations that distinguish it from its predecessor is considered a promising vehicle for the army. Due to the use of a number of new components, the authors of the project, allegedly, managed not only to improve the technical characteristics, but also to improve the ergonomics and other important features of the machine. Among other things, all this affected the appearance of the new car.

Sadko-Next truck retains the overall layout of its predecessor. At the same time, a revised and reinforced frame was used, on which all units are mounted, the composition of equipment and components was radically updated, the chassis parts were reinforced and a new cab borrowed from the GAZon-Next vehicle was used. In addition, due to some original layout ideas, it was possible to increase the size of the body without increasing the overall dimensions of the entire machine.

Under the hood of the new car is a diesel engine YMZ-53442 with turbocharging power up to 150 HP. The engine is coupled with a five-speed manual gearbox with a single-plate dry clutch, equipped with a hydraulic drive. After the gearbox, torque is transmitted to the transfer case, from where it goes through both maintenance-free drive shafts to both axles.

It is known about the creation of two modifications of the new truck, differing in different cab design. In the first case (GAZ-C41A23) the car receives a single-row cabin with three crew seats, in the second (GAZ-C41A43) the seats are arranged in two rows, each of which has its own pair of doors. The cab for the Sadko-Next truck was borrowed from the Gazon-Next serial car and is distinguished by a large windshield mounted at a large angle to the vertical. The type of cab used affects the overall dimensions of the truck. So, with a single cab, the wheelbase of the car is 3,77 m, and the total length does not exceed 6,3 m. A double-row cab leads to an increase in the base to 4,5 m and the total length to 7 m. The maximum width of the car (along the side mirrors) does not exceed 2,75 m, height on the cab roof - 2,6 m. When installing different types of bodies, the overall height of the vehicle may increase.

When developing a new project, it was decided to increase the size of the body. By bringing the body width to 2,3 m and increasing the length using the available free space, it was possible to achieve an 20-percent increase in usable area. The volume of space for the transport of goods can also be increased by installing a new tent with a frame. This unit increases the usable volume by 42% compared to previous trucks.

The updated truck in all-wheel drive configuration is capable of carrying up to 3 tons of cargo. A modification with the 4x2 wheel formula and a drive to the rear axle can carry more on the 2 t. The total mass of new trucks of all modifications does not exceed 6,85 tons. The front axle load is 3,05 tons and the rear axles are 3,8 tons. It should be noted that the curb weight of the truck depends on the type of cab and the length of the base. So, the “short” version without load weighs about 3,9 t, and the “long” version is heavier on 410 kg.

Thanks to the 150-powerful engine, the new truck can reach speeds of up to 95 km / h. When driving at a speed of 80 km / h, the fuel consumption is 21,5 liters per 100 km. The machine is able to rise to the rise of the 47%. The new truck has a fairly high chassis with ground clearance of 315 mm (on the rear axle case), which, among other things, makes it possible to overcome water barriers on fords to a depth of 1 m.

The four-wheel drive version of the Sadko-Next truck, also offered for the army, is demonstrated at various exhibitions in the characteristic “digital” camouflage color in green and black tones. Probably, the manufacturer seriously expects to receive orders from the military department. In this new all-wheel drive truck, as well as its version with the wheel formula 4х2, regardless of the type of frame and chassis, may be of interest to other customers. In particular, the Sadko-Next car is able to interest various commercial organizations that need equipment with high cross-country performance, capable of delivering goods to remote and hard-to-reach areas.

Information on the procurement of new trucks for the army is not yet available. Last year, it was argued that the mass production of new cars should start no earlier than the spring of 2015. This means that the new Sadko-Next has recently added to the list of GAZ Group's manufactured products and, as a result, has not yet managed to become the subject of new large orders from government departments.

We bought "Lawn-Next" for our plant in the transport department. The driver is prostrated by this car! Prior to that, he worked for Zil - 130. His words are: “This is something!” He can't say anything more. Travels on business trips. Satisfied !

I hope he will go to the troops, a worthy replacement for the "shishige", devoid of the main drawbacks of the 66th engine - ZMZ 53 and an uncomfortable cockpit.

It is not even a ZIL-131 against the Shishiga, but with a new engine it will perform both the first and second tasks. Yes, and the bonnet scheme is good: even with a minor accident (no one ought to fix the conscripts' drivers), the traumatism of those in the cab had bad consequences. And it’s better to attach a Grad rug here than to a GAZ-66, I don’t know whether it’s true or not, but someone told many years ago that after several volleys, the frame on the BM-21 had to be inspected for cracks and deflections. And the new GAZik will be stronger. Who was associated with the BM-21, please confirm or deny about the frame, I only saw this MLRS in the museum. hi

From the height of my obese-old man's age, I dare to write the following. It is clear that my love and my pain is GAZ-66. But everything and everything is getting old. And to the new car:
    1) 21 - 23 liters per 100 km. What liter? Diesel fuel? Gasoline, which gasoline? Multi-fuel? What kind of engine? Still 21 liters - a bit too much.
    2) Placement of the cab behind the engine or above the engine? If done like the GAZ-66, then you can increase the volume of the cargo compartment, while maintaining the length of the frame and chassis.
    3) From what year is this article? If they write there: "that the serial production of new cars should start no earlier than spring 2015"?

I do not know. In case of combat contact, gasoline ignites very quickly. I don’t know why PVs will be grateful for the hood in front of the cab. I know the results of even stretch marks with F-1 on ZIL-131. There was no difference, the hood in front or the cabin above the engine. But for the Airborne Forces and for the Marine Corps - the shorter the better.
YaMZ-53442 is a little doubtful, but everything is developing, I may have lagged behind.

Well, as luck would have it, at the outposts we have TG cars running on gasoline, we still have winters. And so I look, they started using GAZ-3308, the Huntsman, when I was 66, the drivers were tormented by servicing the engines, because of the cab and not comfortable ergonomics For that, the engines worked like a clock, with half a turn if that "curves" were started.

But it is clear that MO has its own prices. Dear marshes. Judging by the flag. Probably the computer is not synchronized. Kazakhstan with the Estonian flag?

Well, at least fill up with 80 fuel, refineries mainly drive 80 and diesel fuel, there they "conjure" and it turns out 92. The use of 80 is narrowed, private transport still switches to 92, 95-96 is used little. DT is in demand but far from Euro -..., sulfur paraffin. Winter solarium is rare, and the price is more expensive than 92 gasoline, but in winter they add all sorts of antigels to the tank.
And so the price for the most running 92 is approximately -0.45 $

Why such an off-road monster cabin from a featherweight delivery fast truck with a strongly inclined windshield? So that the driver could not lean forward and see what was in front of the hood - driftwood on an off-road vehicle, or a pedestrian on the road that he was going to hit. Whatever it was, he was not upset. And so that he bangs his head on the windshield in the event of a collision or collision with an obstacle, as drivers of passenger cars without airbags do. And so that effective managers report to their management about another innovation - standardization of the cabin.

A beautiful toy. But for military operation, it does not correspond to many indicators. This, as many colleagues have noticed, is a "glamorous" cabin and an underdeveloped and overly appetizing engine.
There is also doubt about the need for another type of vehicle for the army in general, the unification of army transport is a very serious issue, this is the provision of supplies and various routine maintenance. I think this good machine will find its buyer in civilian life and quite likely it may well have an export component in Latin America and Southeast Asia.
