Media: Russia will offer the helicopters developed for them to the Mistral buyer

53
After the termination of the Mistral contract with Russia, France began to search for a buyer for them. Now in the list of potential buyers of about 10-ti countries. Russia does not object to the sale of ships to them, and is even ready to offer its Ka-52K helicopters specially designed for the Mistral project for the kit, reports Kommersant.

Immediately after breaking the contract, Francois Hollande said that he would easily find buyers for both helicopter carriers. "Since then, French media (in particular, the newspaper Le Figaro), citing official and unofficial sources, have reported that Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Singapore, Vietnam, India, Brazil, the United Arab Emirates and a number of other states are showing interest in the ships" - the newspaper writes.

Moscow continues contacts with French shipbuilders, who, together with their Russian colleagues, have yet to dismantle equipment belonging to the Russian Federation.

In addition, sources said, “Russian negotiators have achieved the right to negotiate a specific buyer of two helicopter carriers - in other words, Moscow can veto their sale of ships to Paris to a third party.”

According to the same sources, “the fate of the two helicopter carriers is directly related to the plans for promoting the Ka-52K deck helicopters to the market, which were originally designed for basing on the Russian Mistral (four cars were built as part of the development work)”.

The interviewee told the newspaper that “a potential buyer will be invited to take the Ka-52K party together with the ships, otherwise it is possible that the Russian side will use its veto power, which will greatly complicate the situation in France.”

At the same time, Kommersant notes that with the majority of prospective buyers, Russia maintains partnership relations: “the same Egypt has already acquired Russian weapons for $ 3,5 billion, with Saudi Arabia, negotiations are underway to supply Iskander-E operational tactical complexes, and India is generally the largest importer of Russian military products in recent years (in the 2014, Moscow supplied Delhi weapons for $ 4,7 billion) ".

A veto for a sale is a good thing, for a long time the French and other "shipbuilders" will remember

So it is necessary, also to take advantage of the French, in extreme cases, let them pay extra.

If this information takes place to be De Facto, then I personally quietly (so as not to jinx it) applaud our side. We received 200 KG of documentation for the assembly of Mistral (especially interested in the large-assembly), the money was returned back from helicopter carriers, which: 1) were not provided for by our VM doctrine 2) Under which de facto there was not a single object of infrastructure built, they got rid of (offended face done). And now, as a bonus, Russia can also impose the VETO right on the ships for which they gave her the money ... bully
Something very "loudly whispers" that Russian equipment will not be removed from the Mistrals, but together with the KA-52K sharpened for it, it will go to the buyer ... By the way, a potential buyer in this case will have to provide jobs (according to diagnostics equipment at least at the initial stage) not only to French shipbuilders but also to Russian electronics and aircraft technicians.
Saudis, finally buy two new expensive toys for your pocket Egyptian army! In the end, Egypt recently dug through the second Suez Canal, so it will look good along the Mistral to the canal! wink

It is believed that the DVKD was ordered out of gratitude to the French president. The French president did a lot to calm everyone and everything, as a result, Georgia after 08.08.08 slightly decreased, and South Ossetia and Abkhazia became de facto independent. In exchange, Russia loaded the shipyards in Saint-Nazaire to raise the rating of the French president. True, this did not help, and the power changed (although in the future it can play, the ratings of the current one are low).
In addition to a simple purchase, new technologies were obtained (2 for shipbuilding and 1 for defense).
      I remembered:

This is my idea of the epic of the ill-fated "Mistrals".

No, well, it’s possible to land supplies from cruisers and destroyers (from corvettes and frigates at the present time), cruisers and destroyers (from corvettes and frigates) to carry supplies. But it is better to use specialized landing forces.

A fairly large amount was allocated for their development; two ships, an infrastructure, a boat and an aviation group, were ordered in the complex. However, they received nothing. For political reasons. In this case, a refund is far from a fact, or rather, almost certainly - it will not go to the fleet.

Let's be honest with ourselves. In Russia, ships of this class are unlikely to be built in the next five to ten years. And it’s simply impossible to refuse such vessels as Mistral. And the fact that Russia has the right to choose a future buyer has a very good perspective. I once wrote about this here on the site. Russia should choose such a buyer in the future, and they may be countries such as Vietnam or India. Already start negotiations with them about their purchase. But in addition to negotiate the transfer of these ships after taking them from France to lease to Russia. And not just for rent, but for leasing. Such a result with the Mistral would have many advantages for Russia. The first is economic. Russia would very quickly receive a fully equipped warship, or rather two. Built for Russia. Modern. Russia would have avoided the loss of preparing infrastructure for them, preparing and training personnel, and designed and built aircraft specifically for them.
Secondly, military. As I wrote above, it is unlikely that in the coming years the Russian Navy will be able to get hold of such modern ships. Especially equipped. There is a lot of work for them. To develop new solutions for the Russian Navy during a military landing, for military staff exercises, for training new personnel for the navy.
And thirdly. Political. And the most important. Reputation. Russia will show everyone such a cookie. Indeed, despite all the sanctions and intrigues of the West, Russia will still receive its ships. In one form or another. Russia will benefit from this, and frogmen and Americans ... Well, you know ...

And after we sell it all. We will buy American bonds with this money. All AFTER SUCH a financial operation, Russia will become a great power.

And then! After all, we have probably already completely updated our fleet of combat helicopters, as well as aircraft, tanks and warships!
