The active phase of the joint Russian-Chinese doctrine "Sea Interaction - 2015

On the morning of August 23, a ceremony of seeing off a joint detachment of the ships of the Pacific Fleet and the PLA Navy for practicing practical actions at sea was held at 33 quay of the Ship's Ship Embankment in Vladivostok. The exit of the ships was preceded by intense work in the headquarters of the joint leadership of the teaching "Sea interaction2015 (II)". The commanders of the ships reported to the leadership about the readiness of the crews to conduct the maneuvers and their decisions. A tactical fly was conducted, where the episodes and details of interaction at sea were specified once more, and safety instructions were given.

During the active phase of naval maneuvers from 23 to 25 in August, naval sailors of the two countries practically worked out the issues of joint maneuvering, organization of anti-sabotage, anti-submarine, anti-aircraft and anti-ship defense. A joint landing of naval and airborne assault forces was conducted at the Clerk training ground.

Under the cut a huge photo report - the result of three shooting days at sea.

The first phase of the Marine Interaction-2015 exercise began in the Mediterranean in May. The following maneuvers were decided to hold in Primorye. Seven ships of China arrived in Vladivostok for joint exercises: the destroyers Taizhou and Shenyang, the patrol ship Weifeng and Henyang, the landing ships Changbaiishan and Yunvushan, as well as the supply ship Taihu. Report on the event can be viewed at the link.

Among all the ships of the PLA Navy clearly stands out one - the one that is at the extreme right of the photo. The destroyer "Taizhou" project 956 "Sarych". Two unfinished ships, which received the names “Important” and “Thoughtful” when laying, and then renamed “Yekaterinburg” and “Alexander Nevsky”, at the turn of the millennial were completed and sold to the PRC. The project in the export version has undergone changes and received the code 956 E. The names of the Chinese ships - "Hangzhou" and "Fuzhou", they are currently serving in the Eastern Navy of the People’s Liberation Army of China from 2000. Modernization of the destroyers of the project 956 of the “E” series (export) concerned only power installations and some weapon systems. The following two units, intended for the Chinese fleet, underwent more serious changes. The destroyer of the 956EM project differs from the “E” modification in size, the Moskit-ME increased-range anti-ship missiles (they reach targets within 200 km) and the new Kashtan anti-aircraft missile and artillery modules. Aft gun mount replaced by a helicopter hangar. Two destroyers (Taizhou and Ningbo) were built for this project in 2005 and 2006. A source

More than a thousand soldiers of both countries at the Clerk training ground learned together to parachute from the sea and the air into the territory of the “enemy” and free the territory occupied by the “terrorists”.

78.

The final exercises in the Khasansky region were to be held on 27 in August, but because of the approaching typhoon Goni, the command decided to conduct joint maneuvers earlier - on August 25.

79.

At noon, the ships of the Pacific Fleet and the PLA Navy received a general command order - to knock out the "terrorists", who had become fixed on the shore. It should be noted that the joint landing of Russian and Chinese marines took place for the first time in stories.

80.

During the exercises at the site, the military played a real show. While warships led by the Varyag missile cruiser and the Shenyang destroyer lined up in the waters of Peter the Great Bay, the PLA attack planes struck the air at a conventional enemy, dug in on the coast.

81.

82.

Immediately after this, the military command issued an order to carry out the landing of the airborne and naval landing.

83.

The 26 marines of the 80 brigade from Vladivostok landed first on land with military transport planes An-155 parachutes, and special forces of the Chinese Armed Forces descended parallel to them in another section of the range with helicopters Changhe Z-8. After this, the assault groups began clearing the area.

84.

At the next stage, the landing of the second echelon began from the landing ships: the Chinese Changbai and Yunvushan and the Russian Peresvet. The landing of marines on the coast took place simultaneously in different parts of the range, since the main purpose of the maneuver was to surround the armed formations of the conditional enemy and destroy them. Russia's military men landed on the BTR-80, and the Chinese on infantry fighting vehicles (Type-97)

A total of 22 ships and support ships, up to 20 airplanes and helicopters, as well as more 500 marines and 35 units of equipment, took part in military maneuvers on both sides.
The main goal of the exercise is to work out actions to create a safe corridor and withdraw the civilian population from the occupied territories. Vice-Admiral Alexander Fedotenkov, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, and Rear Admiral Van Hai, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the PLA Navy, closely followed the maneuvers from the observation points. The representative of China called the training maneuvers of personnel "brilliant".

It is difficult to comment on such a voluminous publication. The author has already said everything. Just share a positive assessment with the author. Our state now needs a strong ally, and it is good that it is our neighbor.
