The rescue ship "Igor Belousov" begins to test in the Atlantic

The press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported that on Tuesday the ocean rescue vessel “Igor Belousov” left Baltiysk and headed to the Atlantic to conduct tests of onboard systems and technical equipment in deep-water conditions.



"Until mid-September, the vessel will complete a number of tasks in the fourth stage of factory running trials," the press service reported. "Military Industrial Courier".

It is noted that during the tests, the descents of the diving bell will be carried out to depths up to 450 meters. On-board technical equipment will also be tested to assist emergency submarines, side-scan sonars and multi-beam echo-sounders, radio navigation equipment. In addition, it is planned to test the remote-controlled underwater vehicle RTPA "Panther Plus" at a depth of about a kilometer.

During the fourth stage of factory running trials in the waters of the Atlantic, the first stage of interdepartmental tests of the deep-sea diving complex (GVK) will begin, providing for joint testing of all systems of the complex for compliance with the technical requirements of the Russian Navy.

“The verification of this work at the first stage will be carried out without the involvement of personnel,” the press service noted.

The second stage of interdepartmental testing of GVK with the participation of specialists and personnel is scheduled for mid-September. After the completion of the fourth stage of the factory running tests, the state tests of the rescue ship will begin.

It is planned that "Igor Belousov" - the lead rescue vessel of project 21300С - will become part of the Russian naval fleet before the end of this year.
