Finnish speedboat class Jurmo


Universal speedboats class Jurmo is the newest means of the Finnish Navy. The boat can be used for the transportation of personnel, medical and evacuation tasks, the landing of troops, observation and escort, as well as for combat missions and combat support tasks.

Jurmo class boats increase coastal capabilities fleet. The capabilities of the warships of the fleet are fully consistent with current requirements, but in the next decade a significant part of the military flotilla will need to be replaced with new ships. The maximum speed of class boats is 40 knots or 75 km / h.

The state-owned Patria (73,2%) and the Airbus Group (26,8%), are developing an 120-mm uninhabited mortar tower for this boat.
