Commander-in-Chief of the Navy: Cause of Bulava Failures - Violation of Production TechnologyThe only reason for the unsuccessful test launches of ballistic missiles missiles "Bulava" is a violation of the technology of missile systems production. This was stated on air by the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Vladimir Vysotsky, on the air of "Ekho Moskvy".

He recalled that of the twelve launches of the newest rocket, only five were recognized as successful.

According to BFM, according to Vysotsky, work on the “Bulava” will be completed within a year. “The chances are quite good to complete this work successfully over the coming year,” said the commander-in-chief.

Earlier, the chief designer of the missile, Yuri Solomonov, stated that the main reasons for the unsuccessful launches of the promising intercontinental ballistic missile “Bulava” are poor-quality materials, disruption of production technology and inadequate quality control. According to him, in favor of this version is the fact that in the production of each prototype circuit design solutions have not changed. In this case, with each failure to start problems were found in a new place. “In one case, poor quality materials are used, in the other, the necessary equipment is missing to eliminate the“ human ”factor in manufacturing, in the third, inadequate quality control,” explained Solomonov.

The Bulava is the latest Russian three-stage solid-fuel rocket designed for armament of strategic missile submarines. The rocket can carry up to 10 hypersonic maneuvering nuclear units of individual guidance, capable of changing the flight path in height and course, and hit targets at a distance of up to 8 thousands of kilometers.
