Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Vitaly Kupriy, a member of the inter-factional group with the characteristic name “Dill”, states that the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has begun criminal prosecution against the current head of the National Bank of Ukraine, Valeria Gontareva. According to the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Minister Avakov responded to his (Kupriya) request for abuse of office by the head of the NBU and the former general director of the NBU banking supervision department Alla Shulgi.
