Su-30CM equip Russian indicators on the background of the windshield

Since the end of 2015, Irkutsk aviation JSC Irkut Corporation JSC plans to equip the Su-30SM multifunction fighter jets manufactured for the RF Ministry of Defense with large-format indicators against the background of the IKSh-1M windshield developed by Ramenskoye Instrument-Making Design Bureau JSC Concern Radioelectronic Technologies (KRET, part of Rostec Group of Companies) "), Which will replace the previously used indicators of the French production Thales HUD 3022 (CTH 3022) as part of the import substitution program, reports blog Center for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies.

The submission notes that “information about the upcoming replacement of Su-30CM ILS Thales HUD 3022 planes being built with Russian IKSH-1M is also confirmed by one of the participants of the web forum forums.airforce.ru, apparently related to the Irkutsk aircraft plant.”

Currently indicators IKSH-1M equipped provided the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation MiG-29K, MiG-29SMT and Su-35S and used on the Su-30SM HUD Thales HUD 3022 installed on built for the Malaysian Air Force Su-30MKM and French fighter aircraft Dassault Rafale, for which it was originally designed.

We looked through the French sights - and that's enough.
Through ours it will be more pleasant to bring down the enemy.

I managed to work at an enterprise where sights are made for our aircraft. Impressed by the acceptance. With big eyes he watched how the display on the glasses. there are 2 glasses, as in the photo, a picture is projected from below by a projector onto each glass. When combining pictures, you can see the exact place where the plane is aiming.

This is from the cut rode on the Mercier, it will be more pleasant to ride on the Volga. Unfortunately, the level of our "glass" is much worse, too far behind.

The checkbox is set automatically, without my participation. And in front of the flag that you have, even now I go. For example, I liked the Su-30cm. And now, due to flaws in the state, flight crews will be paid.
Yes, they stopped supplying us with samples of equipment and the defense order is bursting at the seams, so fish and crayfish turn out to be fishless ...

Those. For example, they stopped supplying engines to the Ford Focus, which they assemble in Vsevolzhsk, they added an engine from Lada Kalina there, is that what we are catching up with?
Catch up, it’s making the system no worse than those in the west.

Yes, what is there to harp. What prevents display information on-board computer on the windshield? Fundamentally, nothing. Even simpler, because the amount of information is less and the requirements for vibration resistance of the product are several times lower. Again, mass production will help to reduce the cost of production of protsiks for defense, but ...... in the capitalist system, lowering the price of products (especially when you are a monopolist) is idiocy. And therefore, we have that we have the entire 4th generation of fighters, and the Su-27 and MiG-29 came with ILS, and this (for understanding) is the end of the 70s and the beginning of the 80s .... That is, technology has been around for more than 30 years . But on our machines, ILS will appear only in the 22nd century ..... Oh, I won’t live

Well, there are modifications on the Su-34, Su-30М2 (SM was more advanced with a more advanced Frenchman), Su-27М3, Su-35С. It seems he’s going to Anchor.

However, this is an old system (albeit modernized), a generation inferior to the same Frenchman.

So they simply stopped supplying the system, until the end of this year they will be with the French. And the Frenchman is better in clarity, functionality and oddly reliable.

Plus, the Frenchman is single-glass, and KRETovsky is old according to the two-glass scheme.

You can fly and perform tasks on a Su30CM aircraft without ILS. In principle, there is nothing complicated. The French would gladly supply their HUDs. The problem is that in cooperation (element base) they work with other gay players, but they circumcised the French business.
        1. +1
          22 July 2015 14: 54
Yeah, let's then, just a collimator sight from La-5, and that Ivan Nikitovich Kozhedub quite effectively "performed the tasks" (by the way, he had the honor to serve in the unit where Kozhedub served at one time).
Everything has its time, now the ILS, an integral part of avionics.
The paradox is that many pilots were unable to switch from "alarm clocks" to "televisions", so the expression "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" takes place. ILS here, oddly enough, helps out.

The article says about the INDICATOR, two indicators are located on the dashboard in front of the pilot and are part of the "glass cockpit" (let it be LSI, I am more accustomed to the abbreviation KSEIS - an integrated system of electronic information and alarm), but this, in a general sense words, not a display, but a transparent screen onto which an image from an LSI (CSEIS) is projected ...
