New medical helicopter modules, allowing for, resuscitation activities on board the vessel, were admitted to the district hospitals of the TSB, reports RIA News district post.

“The medical module is installed in a Mi-8 MT type helicopter. It is designed to evacuate victims and provide them with qualified medical assistance directly in the helicopter. It is not necessary to disconnect the equipment when transporting the injured person from the helicopter to the hospital - the system can work both from stationary power sources, on-board power supply, and in standalone mode ”, Says the release.

It is reported that "the module includes devices for artificial ventilation of the lungs, stimulation of cardiac activity and other resuscitation manipulations."

The modules will be commissioned before the end of the current year.
