Two tankers of this project should be built by the Zelenodolodtsy at the plant. Gorky, the other two vessels will be manufactured at the Eastern Shipyard in Vladivostok. The contract with the “Eastern Shipyard” was signed in September last year (the vessels received the factory numbers 9001 and 9002).

According to the creators of the project, “the small sea tanker of the 03182 project was developed as a multipurpose platform of a reinforced ice class vessel in providing the concept of Arctic ships for transporting liquid and dry cargo, discharge cargo and people with the ability to receive helicopter equipment (including unmanned aerial vehicles) and perform rescue operations. "

It is also reported that in addition to receiving, storing and transporting liquid and dry cargo, the tanker is intended for “collecting bilge, waste and fecal water, dry garbage and food waste; patrols, rescue watch in the areas of navigation, fisheries, offshore oil and gas fields; search and assist ships in distress; technical support in areas dangerous for navigation; maintenance of transport operations in ports; removal from the shoals and reefs of emergency vessels; pumping water from flooded compartments and towing emergency vessels and objects to the place of shelter, including in the ice; performing the functions of a fireboat. "

According to the developers, “the Arc03182 ice class tanker of the 4 project should have a full displacement of 3500 t, deadweight 1560 dwt, length 75 m, width 15,4 m, draft in full load 5 m”. The vessel will be equipped with an electric power installation with spin-propellers. Crew - 24 man, in addition can be placed more 8 man.

Where is the Mistral then? Hope to build :). There would be more such orders for Russian industry.

All our ships are built with the prefix "small". "Small" rocket ship, corvettes themselves are "small", now even a tanker and that "small". What's going on with industry and finance ??
PS Surprise the local exclamations "More of these !!!" What would be more "small" ships? Which carry "little" weapons, "little" aviation, and now "little" fuel ?!

Our decent icebreakers are being built. Well, about Ash and Borea do not forget. Last year, they were taken into the fleet one at a time, next year we are now waiting. Big ship and built for a long time hi

"Small" ones are also needed by the fleet. Do not drive supertankers with a squadron, it is too expensive a pleasure. And these are universal just right. Moreover, they are multifunctional.

It all starts small. It’s easy to criticize - a large ship is more complicated many times, it requires highly skilled workers and engineers. And where to get them if economists and lawyers graduated the last 20 years, and handwork was considered for losers?

        So with an initiative!

The main thing is that they are not resold in a couple of years. In 2010, he stood in the ever-memorable Gdynia next to a young 4-year-old former tanker of the Russian Navy. The ship was "privatized" and sold to a Norwegian ship owner at the price of a barge.

So the Poles from the Nauta shipyard noted that the welded seams at the "fresh" boat were made "very badly."

As I understand it, the problem is not to build the hull of a large ship, but the problem of equipping it with modern equipment, weapons and, above all, engines. Unfortunately, we forgot how to do engines. Well, small ships and ships are also needed for specific purposes.

Take an interest in the Internet, what is a universal auxiliary vessel. They are in principle not built large.
Based on your logic, the larger and heavier the power supply, the better the device? smile

Then let's build tugboats with a displacement of one hundred thousand metric tons! But is it necessary? smile

On "Made with us" the picture was better laid out and for a long time. And so - such a cute "iron" is outlined. A universal auxiliary for cabotage is quite nothing good , especially when you consider the presence of a huge, non-equipped coast, especially the Arctic. It is planned in such a way as to the battle for the Arctic and Antarctic.

laughing Welcome, dear avt! In my opinion, the customer decided to immediately kill 6 with one project, you have a tanker, a dry cargo ship, a rescue boat, a tugboat, an icebreaker, and a small anti-submarine helicopter carrier. And all rolled into one belay ... ETOGES what qualifications should be "master" ??? And immediately the question ... one fuel needs to be cut, another at the same time to take off the shallows, and the third urgent cargo to the islands to drag and how? Then you need a lot of these "irons"!

The first thing the Defense Ministry decided to rebuild the auxiliary fleet. Now fifty naval auxiliary ships are being built, plus those already built. War is primarily logistics and it is an axiom. And this component of the Navy tidies up first of all - reconnaissance ships, armament ships, tankers, tugboats, rescue ships, pilot, hydrographic, communication vessels, floating cranes, etc. EVERYTHING NECESSARY FOR FULL FLEET OPERATION. In addition, shipyards earn money on these orders, train personnel, develop skills, and tidy up after the devastation of the 90s and early 2000s when the fleet was one of the most recent problems.

High. Well, and so - the logical development of supply vessels leading from those that appeared to service oil platforms.

Well, as the experience of the fighting of the Angles near Falklands has shown, relying on a couple of intermediate bases, at least the ratio to warships is 1: 1. Another would be to revive lighters of the type "Aleksey Kosygin", one of which is now working in the auxiliary fleet of the USA as a military transport, and make a partner "Sevmorput" .... two laughing Then the rear support will not work out for itself.

In this regard, I am more inclined towards such courts as the Berezina compressor station, pr. 1833. If the Russian fleet wants to be present in the vastness of the world's oceans, then we must be aware that, like under the Union, we will have almost no foreign bases. This means that we need integrated supply vessels, tankers capable of delivering fuel on the move, ocean rescue tugs, killers, emergency rescue vessels of the Elbrus type, pr.537. Lighters are very good for supplying Arctic bases, but not as big as the Sevmorput. Creation of tkakikh same supply vessels, as pr.03182, I think that from hopelessness. The project has already been worked out, there is no need to wait long, for the first time it will go. hi

The country's leadership, it seems, has seriously taken up the development of military bases in the Arctic, covering the Northern Sea Route and the Russian continental shelf. The advantages of the Northern Sea Route are obvious: the stable transit of goods from Europe to Asia is faster than via the Indian Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea, no Somali pirates.

We need such ships and the sooner the better, well, of course, icebreakers are certainly new all the more.

But the same ship, only 4 times more can be built? then it will be "cooler" than "Galicia" and "Rotterdam" !!

Normal boats. The Arctic coast to serve the most. Interestingly, is it a river-sea or only a sea?

this is typical: oil and gas:. everyone has one housing! and you can sculpt into it ... anything. such on the shelf of Sakhalin have been working for a long time!

The naval topic is complex, so that many factors must be taken into account when designing, ordering and building ships and we are going the right way to equip the "near zone", which is necessary in any situation, but then I think there will be big ones, only we cannot compete with amers , and there is nothing to it, but we need "universal" ships of different classes and I think they will, I have already written the main thing to know about the intentions and means of the enemy as far as possible from our coast, control of navigation, the fight against piracy

I apologize, but you built small ships, and large ones too, do you have anything to compare with? Of course, it takes longer to build a ship with a large displacement, but in terms of the complexity of manufacturing the hull of a ship with a small displacement, its dimensions play, try to assemble a box with complex filling and a chest with the same number of compartments. in the convenience of manufacturing the section is not doubled!
I believe that the design bureau simply works out projects, studies on cats, and small ships are cheaper to maintain.
And I like the project of such a tanker, it reminds me of the beginning of my shipbuilding activity at the Zaliv shipyard https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=136&v=GJsogw9fHE0 the Norwegians built the Sarah hull
