Israeli special forces "Egoz"

The special forces units of any country are military professional units that perform special tasks of the military command to ensure the protection of the state from external and internal threats. As a rule, the composition of special units consists of highly professional fighters, not only possessing the basic military skills and abilities, but also possessing special knowledge, making them the elite among the best.

History the creation of special units of Israel and their specialization is inextricably linked with the events taking place not only in the country, but also in the region.

Special Forces of the General Staff of Israel (“Sayeret Matkal”) specializes in conducting intelligence operations and participating in military actions abroad.

The special unit "Duvdevan" is intended to destroy the terrorists, using the method of reincarnation in the Arabs. The main site of operations is Palestinian territory.

Yakhalom is a mine clearance and detonation unit, as well as carrying out engineering tasks behind enemy lines.

"Sayeret Golani" - special forces infantry units. In addition to participating in reconnaissance and sabotage operations, the detachment is involved in anti-terrorist actions.

In addition to these, the Israeli armed forces include special units in cynology, electronic warfare and communications, anti-tank defense, border defense, computer analysis, field intelligence, etc.

Of particular interest is a special unit "Saret Egoz", which was originally intended to fight the partisans. Despite the fact that this unit during its operation was able to achieve many convincing victories, it was repeatedly disbanded and created anew.

The first recruitment to the Saaret Egoz unit took place in 1956, and most of the fighters were Druze. Druze is an ethno-confessional unit (Arabic), living mainly in Lebanon, Jordan, Israel, and Syria. Despite the fact that according to the laws of Israel, the Druze, like the Arabs, are exempted from military service, not only do they serve in the army, they are also exemplary military valor and professionalism.

The aim of the fighters from “Saaret Egoz” was to conduct operations in Syria, in particular, against Syrian top military officials. But later the unit was sent to patrol the border with Lebanon, and then disbanded.

In the 1963 year, due to the need to intensify the anti-terrorist struggle in the north of Israel, a special unit "Saeret Egoz" was re-created. The backbone of his were officers of the Golani brigade. The group was armed with modern weapons and is equipped with vehicles. The fighters conducted sabotage and reconnaissance operations in Lebanese territory. During the six-day war, Special Forces soldiers played the role of an assault detachment. The detachment operated up to the 1974 year: operations in the territories of Syria and Lebanon. One of their operations is the liquidation of the terrorist base near the city of Nabatiyeh.

In 1973, on the eve of the Doomsday (military conflict between several Arab countries and Israel), the special forces, as an assault force, performed a series of successful military operations in Syria. A few months after the end of the war, the Saret Egoz division was once again disbanded.

Subsequently, the Israeli authorities have repeatedly regretted that there is no such unique and effective military detachment as the Saaret Egoz.

Iran helped religious extremists organize a Hizbala society in Lebanon, which began sabotage work against the Israeli army. Every day the losses of the Israeli side from the action of Hizbaly increased. Attacks on fortified points in the security zone, shelling of the territory of Israel have become more frequent. Countering the attack with the participation of the operating units of the Israeli army do not achieve the desired results.

These events intensified the recovery (for the third time) of the Egoz division in 1994.

To the selection of fighters approached thoroughly. As cadets, fighters from active military units and conscripts who had been selected to serve in special forces were sent to form an elite special forces unit. The course was intensive and tough: tremendous physical exertion, many kilometers of forced marches, overcoming the most difficult obstacles, taking a course on combating terrorism, training in hand-to-hand combat, special driving vehicles, mountain and parachute training, mastering counter-guerrilla combat, methods of masking and survival in the highlands. Additionally, the cadets were trained in the mine and subversive case, as well as sniping.

The first operations of the newly created unit are dated 1995 year. During the year of action on the account of the special forces unit "Egoz" was a lot of militants destroyed.

The unit effectively used anti-ambush tactics when the special forces organized ambushes in places that could be the target of militant attacks. When trying to lay mines, militants were destroyed by special forces soldiers who were in ambush.

In this war, special forces also suffered heavy losses. In 1997, the group of Special Forces Sh-13 completely died.

Military specialists believe that Saret Egoz fought best of all, not only because its fighters were well trained, but were also psychologically well prepared: each of them went to the operation with the thought of destroying as many enemies as possible, and not how to return without losses.

In the 2000 year, when the troops were withdrawn from Lebanon, again there was talk about the disbandment of the Saaret Egoz.

But the armed conflict between Israel and the Palestinian Arabs began, the so-called intifada. The Saaret Egoz division is involved in organizing ambushes near Palestinian settlements. Special Forces fighters had to relearn in the light of new methods of struggle: emphasis was placed on the ability to conduct anti-terrorist operations. “Saaret Egoz” was able to operate in the infantry units of the Israeli army and carry out pinpoint operations. A significant role in the success of the combat operations of the elite unit of the special forces of Israel in the experience and professionalism of its commanders.

Serious opponents - I hope that we will never have to directly confront them ourselves (I mean the Israelis and their army in general) - all the more so, they are covered by our biggest enemy Pendostan - it is better to fight through the Syrians and Iranians - with the help of our military instructors and equipment - as always did the ussr

It is interesting how the sides in the article are voiced - as the Israelis - so the soldiers of the special forces - and how Iran and Hezbollah - so the religious extremists
This is a dictionary of pendosov and masons

So far the opposite. Israel is fighting on our territory, only by other methods, more effective. Look: Efimov how they govern us.
