The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation announced plans to create a modern medical center on Kotelny Island, where work on the creation of a new military camp is being completed. About this broadcast channel "Russia 24" told the chief of the Main Military Medical Directorate, Major General of the Medical Service Alexander Fisun.

Alexander Fisun:
A medical center will be created on Kotelny Island, where there will be a modern operating, modern diagnostic equipment. In addition, a decision was taken by the leadership of the Ministry of Defense to create a unique hospital with offices for men, for wives of military personnel and for children in the city of Alakurtti in the Murmansk region.


The Head of the Main Department of State Administration of Management of Ukraine noted that already in the current year for these needs an 10-ton load of medical equipment and medical preparations is being formed - about 120 names. According to Alexander Fisun, at this stage, medical personnel are being trained for work in arctic conditions.

In addition, the Ministry of Defense is implementing a telemedicine program in the Arctic, in which leading specialists from the military region of the Arctic region will be able to provide important advice to medical personnel from the Military Medical Academy.
