Machine-building plant "Arsenal" increases the production of marine AU

Starting-up and adjustment works have been completed at the Arsenal Machine-Building Plant OJSC and an imported Verus milling and boring machine manufactured by the Italian company FPT has been put into operation, TsVMP reports with reference to the plant’s press.

This machine is designed to replace technically and morally outdated domestic equipment 30-year-old, which has developed its life and has not satisfied the requirements of productivity and quality for a long time.

The new multi-function machine, in addition to meeting modern standards of accuracy, allows for boring work. This is the third imported machine acquired by the enterprise as part of the enterprise technical re-equipment program.

The number of factory orders for naval artillery installations (AU) has recently increased, but outdated machine equipment has restrained production and led to the breakdown of contractual terms. Now, on the new machines, hard work is underway to produce one of the main products of the plant - offshore AU type AK-176 and A-190, supplied both for the domestic fleet and for export.

The Arsenal artillery mounts, which is the only serial manufacturer of medium-caliber ship guns in Russia, are in great demand on the world market. The guns manufactured by the Arsenal plant are installed on the 11356 frigates for the Indian Navy, the series being built by the Yantar Baltic Shipbuilding Plant OJSC (Yantar CCP). For the frigates of this project, Arsenal XM is produced at the Arsenal plant's MOH 100 "Universal".

The next batch of marine 100-mm AU A-190 will be produced already for the three frigates of the 11356 project, which will be part of the Black Sea Fleet, planned for construction at the Yantar plant. Two of the three ships, the Admiral Grigorovich and the Admiral Essen, have already been laid.

In addition, AU production MZ "Arsenal" are part of the armament of the corvettes project 20380 type "Stereushchy." In 2012, the “Resistant” corvettes will be launched at the Shipbuilding Plant Severnaya Verf OJSC in St. Petersburg and “Perfect” at the Amur Shipbuilding Plant OJSC in Komsomolsk-on-Amur.

MZ Arsenal also performs a large order for AK-76 176-mm guns.

It is worth noting that, unlike the domestic fleet, which acquired the latest AU for the Dagestan TFR and will not buy this type of gun in the future, export customers intend to continue to install these successful and fully consistent with the modern requirements of naval war cannons on ships and boats. The latter are built both at Russian shipyards (2 units of patrol ships of the 10412 project at Shipbuilding Company Almaz OJSC in St. Petersburg and 2 units of the same project in Vladivostok), as well as at foreign ones (licensed Molniya-type rocket boats and artillery boats of the Vietnamese project of type TT-400T, corresponding to the composition of the artillery equipment project 10410).

Some delay in testing small artillery ship (MAK) "Volgodonsk", built by JSC "Almaz", which was associated with the absence of AU A-190-01, will be eliminated in the near future. Ground testing of the gun is close to completion, and after their endings at the Rzhevsky training ground AU A-190-01 will be delivered by a trailer to the Almaz power plant and installed on the IAC.

At the site, work continues on a promising naval gun caliber 130 mm - A-192 "Armat", which is part of the armament of the frigate project 22350 "Sergey Gorshkov." According to its tactical and technical characteristics, this gun is among the most advanced models of naval artillery weapons.

The plans of the Russian Navy - the construction of a series of ships of the project 22350, and the main caliber for them will be produced by JSC "MH" Arsenal ".

At present, OJSC Arsenal Machine-Building Plant is a modern defense-industrial enterprise of Russia with the richest traditions of producing the latest models of military equipment and products of general civil engineering.

The main activities of the plant:
Production of space technology
