German military instructors begin training Iraqi Yezidis in the fight against ISIS militants

35
German Defense Minister Ursula Gertrud von der Lyayen told the media that the representatives of the armed forces of Germany begin to train Iraqi Yezidis in the fight against the militants of the so-called Islamic State. For reference: Yezidis - an ethnic group belonging to the Kurdish branch and recognized by experts of one of the oldest nations on the planet. Yezidis profess the ancient Middle Eastern religion - Yezidism. More than 600 thousand Yezidis live in Iraq. ISIS fighters consider Yezidis "infidels."

German military instructors begin training Iraqi Yezidis in the fight against ISIS militants

BILD quotes the German defense minister:
From now on, our military instructors are training Yezidis, who intend to win back their lands from ISIL militants.

Meanwhile, in Russia, an increasing number of supporters have the initiative of introducing disciplines into educational standards that will tell schoolchildren and students how to counteract recruiting extremist organizations. The initiative was voiced by representatives of the Public Chamber of Russia, citing the proposal of the increasing number of cases of recruitment of citizens of the Russian Federation by representatives of the LIH network. According to representatives of the CP of the Russian Federation, they wrote a letter to the Minister of Education Livanov asking to pay attention to the initiative.

Perhaps, for stories to schoolchildren and students about opposing the ISIL recruiters it is not necessary to introduce a new academic discipline, for this it would be worthwhile to provide hours, for example, as part of the Life Safety course.

Here is nothing good in this news. Of course, the Germans will be warriors of reference and will train the Yazidis, but this also suggests that the borders of Germany became small for the Bundeswehr, and this always ended in war.

Retreat, do not retreat ..., "teach" in general. Here is a "counter" question: who actually trained the ISIS militants in the fight against the Iraqi Yezidis?

I agree with you, the East has been fighting for centuries, and the Germans have been fighting for 70 years and have not fought with anyone, and what is interesting is that they will teach these fighters.

How can you train the Iraqi military, if the Germans did not even sniff, how to fight ISIS. What, excuse me, the Germans can convey the experience, if recent exercises have shown shooting with shovel cuttings.

First, American instructors taught and supplied ISIL with everything they need, and now German will teach how to fight ISIS.
I alone am tormented by doubts: "Where is the logic?"
Or is it just a business in which nothing personal?
And dozens of thousands of civilians killed in this meat grinder are just costs that can’t be avoided?

There is not only one of you who are "tormented by vague doubts" and it is unlikely that the instructors of the army led by a gynecologist who did not smell gunpowder will be able to teach something to people who are armed almost from the cradle. By the way, there is a case in history of an attempt by the Germans to teach military affairs to Turkish janissaries - nothing worthwhile didn't work out

And the logic is that the show must go on. As usual: if something happens, it means that someone benefits from it.

        1. It makes no sense to teach ... they differ from ISIS only in the direction of faith.
        2. There it is time to bomb everything totally, cut territory into sectors between minefields.
        3. To bomb and shoot everyone who does not obey and does not go on to peaceful life.

ps ideally burn out with nuclear strikes.

Train something, but what? The war is specific. All modern bells and whistles do not need nafig - the most terrible weapons of ISIS units are heavy machine guns in light trucks.

Well, if the tank gets thrown, they’ll shoot a little. smile

All this is from that American history, where they are going to fight with the wrong hands, I do not think for nothing. But the Germans just climbed in there, because they have a war under their arms

Again, in a mysterious way, igles will have brand new grenades in boxes .....

NATO just "accidentally" will not help those. Just an accidentally dropped cargo in the wrong sector. Happenes.

Any specifically burned-down action when the United States is caught by the eggs and they say - HERE! IT IS A FACT. YOU GAVE WEAPONS TO THE FIGHTERS!
      - they simply answer - "this is a mistake, we are accidentally, we are very sorry".

Yes, it is clear that they are simply "tightening" the conflict by helping that and that. But none of them (except Russia, Iran and some other countries) help the legitimate government of Syria, which is the only one able to unleash this "tangle".

By the way, about the Yezidis, they had a decent time in the USSR in Armenia. And they were all Orthodox Christians. And they were friends with several of them in the army, they have a very developed sense of self-esteem, and they mastered the technicals very easily and quickly.

Of course, they pull the rope from one end (USA for ISIS), then from the other (Germany for Yezidis) to simply drag out the conflict. Just pulling this rope alone is the states.
Germany is now just the name of the US military base in Europe! Not more.

To do this, it would be worthwhile to provide hours, for example, as part of the Life Safety course.
And that's the best way! Because, for example, "the history of religions and religious perversions" as an academic discipline is too broad a topic for study even in specialized universities and is not suitable for schools. And the religious studies, which they tried to introduce in our schools, will quickly slide down to the history and modernity of Orthodoxy, which, in its pure form, will not bring anything good either.
Now about the German instructors ... But in 2003, not only the Kurds, but also ISIS were slapped, and besides the igil there is a lot of things floating in the muddy water. The gloomy Teutonic genius learns to fight with someone else's hands, however, we also have an answer to this - send more instructors to Iraq, Afghan, extreme ... but how "your teeth will fall out (instructors), I will not chew you, "we will chew for ourselves.
