Two more participants in the terrorist attack in Budyonnovsk charged
Yesterday, the Investigation Committee announced on its website that two militants from the Basayev group, Ramzan Belyalov and Magomed Mazdaev, were charged.

They were charged with crimes under the h. 2 Art. 209 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (participation in a gang), h. 2 Art. 126.1 UK RSFSR (hostage taking), h. 3 Art. 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (the commission of a terrorist act) ", said in a release.
The ministry noted that Mazdaev was detained in December 2014 in the Volgograd region, and Belyalov on June 2 in Chechnya.
“All the operational and investigative actions took place in strict accordance with the norms of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation. After the arrest, the accused refused to testify on the basis of art. 51 Constitution of Russia. In relation to them, a preventive measure in the form of detention. Their involvement in the 1995 events of the year is confirmed by the testimony of witnesses. As a result, videotapes of those events that reveal images similar to the detainees that are detected in the criminal case are re-examined, and appropriate forensic examinations are appointed, ”informs SC.
“In total, over the past period of time in a criminal case, 26 was charged against individuals, the criminal cases against them were separated into separate proceedings and sent for consideration on the merits to the Stavropol Regional Court. All members of the gang were found guilty and sentenced to long terms of imprisonment. In respect of Shamil Basayev and six other attackers, the criminal prosecution was terminated due to their death. Up to now, 23 entities are on the federal wanted list, ”the message reads.
“Investigation of any crime, especially such an arrogant and socially dangerous, as in Budennovsk, should be carried out until every culprit is punished,” said Anton Tsvetkov, chairman of the Public Chamber Security Commission, head of the public organization “Officers of Russia”, told the newspaper Glance. - Sometimes criminals are prosecuted through 20 and 30 in years. And they should understand that they should not sleep and rest, thinking that their crime has been forgotten by someone. Such a crime does not have a statute of limitations.
