US State Department warned of possible anti-American speeches in the world
The US State Department warned American citizens about the dangers that lay in wait for them around the world after the US secret services uncovered a conspiracy that allegedly aimed at killing the ambassador of Saudi Arabia. According to RIA "News", on the eve of the US Attorney General Eric Holder confirmed that the plot was planned by groups within the Iranian government. According to Holder, the US authorities will not leave unanswered planning attacks on their land.In this regard, the State Department warned US citizens about possible anti-American speeches. It is noted that this warning will be valid until 11 January 2012.
Americans abroad have also been urged to exercise utmost vigilance and maintain contact with US embassies and consulates.
We will remind, earlier it became known that two Iranians were arrested in the USA. They were accused of preparing the assassination of the Saudi ambassador and attacks on the embassies of Saudi Arabia and Israel. Meanwhile, one of them has already pleaded guilty and said that the Iranian government was involved in the development of an attack plan and financing.
As Rosbalt reported, the United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said that Iran had committed a “flagrant” violation of international norms, and therefore the United States had to convince other countries to comply and tighten sanctions against Tehran.
In turn, the Iranian ambassador to the UN, Muhammad Hazai, in a letter to the UN Secretary General, expressed outrage at the accusations against Iran by the United States. As noted in the Hazai letter, Iran is fighting against terrorism, and such statements by Washington can destabilize the situation in the Gulf countries. According to the Iranian ambassador, the accusations of the American authorities are propagandistic and, in fact, are “malicious intent”.
