Rocket launchers Tu-95MS successfully completed air patrols

Two strategic missile carrier Tu-95MS command of the Far aviation Engels successfully completed a seventeen-hour air patrol flight over the North Sea. The flight was in normal mode. During the flight, the Tu-95MS crews worked out flight skills over reference-free terrain, as well as refueling in the air from 2 Il-78 tanker aircraft.

The composition of long-range aviation crews involved in patrolling also includes young aviation specialists who gain skills in the flight crew and invaluable experience of such flights. On separate parts of the flight route, Russian aircraft were repeatedly accompanied by the EF-2000 "Typhoon" and F-16 "Fighting Falcon" aircraft of the Air Forces of the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Denmark.

All flights of Russian Air Force aircraft are carried out according to the combat training plan and in strict accordance with the International Rules for the Use of Airspace, over neutral waters, without disturbing the borders of other states.

Crews of long-range aviation regularly carry out air patrol flights in the waters above the neutral waters of the Arctic, Atlantic, Black Sea, and Pacific Ocean, both from the base and operational airfields.

The Tu-95MS is a strategic bomber (Bear, according to NATO classification) capable of performing missions in any weather, climate and geographical conditions. It is armed with bombs and high-precision cruise missiles. missiles air-to-ground class with a launch range of over 3 km. They can be nuclear or conventionally armed.

Demonstrative video. The announcer mumbles about the most advanced weapons and equipment of the aircraft, and at this time the navigator in the frame considers on a slide rule. Nah yes!

Rather, they would equip with normal avionics, otherwise the navigator with the NL-10 computer looks like hello from the last century.

what does a real combat use look like if everyone is accompanying him?

The actual combat use looks different, the bomber does not enter the space where it can be reached by fighters or air defense. And if it comes in, first the fighters clear the airspace, suppress air defense and accompany it. And this is just a demonstration and development of piloting skills + simulated launches.

Yes, I also read that because of the huge advantage in flight range, he is on duty where there are no enemy fighters
The second advantage of strategists - they are not stationary like land-based mbrs - and you cannot put tomahawks at a point with previously known GPS coordinates - that is, you must deliver it in the air

What a thunder! These flying communities are more than half a century old, and they are not devoid of wings - they are not left to rust on the airfield in the grass, but worthily serve on huge, proudly spread wings, giving the same fear to the countries of ill-wishers!

I like this bird. I saw them for the first time when I was 4 years old. remembered for a lifetime. first, a low vibrating hum rises from above, but nothing is visible, and after a while - two points that come closer and then float above you - silvery, sparkling huge birds with spread wings, pulling trains of white foam. . and then there remain eight stripes, crossing the sky from horizon to horizon and a dying rumble.

Yes, now they write about an ordinary event for the USSR Air Force as an achievement ... It's sad ...

You could practically set your watch by them. Every day at the same time, a couple would always fly. Sometimes, however, there would be Tu-16s or M-4s, but they had a different sound and they would first appear and only then be heard. And then recently - last year, I think, they started flying again. But, however, not every day.
