The Black Sea Fleet solves these tasks using the available forces and means. These are not only surface ships for operations in the near sea and ocean zones, diesel-electric submarines, but also parts of coastal troops, marine missile, anti-submarine and fighter aviation. In connection with the frequent entry of ships of NATO countries into the Black Sea, the activity of divisions, units and formations of the Black Sea Fleet has increased significantly.
A couple of days before the holiday of the Black Sea military sailors, the crews of several ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation began joint exercises with Chinese sailors. The main phase of the Marine Interaction-2015 exercise will take place in the Mediterranean. The Russian naval group at the joint exercises is headed by the flagship of the Black Sea Fleet, the missile cruiser Moskva.
In addition to him, guard and amphibious ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation, as well as a rescue tug and a missile hovercraft, take part in the exercises. On the Chinese side, three ships of the PRC fleet (the naval forces of the People’s Liberation Army of China - PLA) are taking part in the “Sea Cooperation-2015”.

In the US and the EU, they said that Moscow and Beijing “should not have chosen” the Mediterranean region for joint exercises, as it allegedly looks like an unfriendly act and a provocation against NATO countries. It is strange why the same United States and European Union do not say anything about unfriendly acts and provocations, when ships of NATO countries (for example, the United States or France) surf the Black Sea, conduct exercises not far from the coast of China, and generally appear anywhere in the World Ocean, where is considered necessary? ..
Returning to the holiday ... One of the cities of Russia, where the celebration of the Day of the Black Sea Fleet will take place with a special scale, will be Sevastopol. Here, on 13 May, events are planned to lay wreaths at the monuments to Black Sea sailors, as well as to the monument erected in honor of Empress Catherine II, during whose reign not only the Black Sea Fleet of Russia was formed, but also the city of Sevastopol itself. Authorities of the city say that on 13 in May 2015, it is planned to hold festive concerts, as well as meetings with fleet veterans.
A series of celebrations will be held at another base of the Russian Black Sea Fleet - in Novorossiysk.
