In Gdansk (Poland), commemorative events dedicated to the 70 anniversary of the end of World War II took place, in which 9 presidents of European countries took part, reports RIA News.
Polish President Komorowski reminded those present about the difficult stories states "from World War II until the Solidarity trade union appeared in Poland". There was a place in his speech for Russia, which "annexed the Crimea and in fact changed the borders in Europe." According to him, "this has not happened since 1939 of the year."
In turn, Petro Poroshenko thanked the leaders of the countries that refused to go to Moscow. “On behalf of the people of Ukraine, I am grateful to many of the world leaders for refusing to participate in the parade in Moscow,” he said in Gdansk.
The head of the Duma committee, Alexei Pushkov, wrote about this on Twitter: “In Gdansk, Poroshenko thanked those who did not go to Moscow on 9 in May. But this will not help Kiev. Many leaders come. The boycott did not take place. ”
