The official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Yevgeny Perebiynis, said that the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry had sent a protest note of the Russian Federation in connection with the visit to the Crimea of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.
"The Foreign Ministry of Ukraine sent a note of protest demanding to stop the vicious practice of visits of Russian officials to the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, as well as immediately explain the reasons for the demonstration of disrespect for the current legislation of Ukraine and the position of the world community by Russian high-ranking officials," newspaper words "Sight".
This is not the only statement by representatives of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry in recent days. For example, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin said earlier that Kiev believes that the visit of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon to Moscow on 9 May “will send a completely wrong signal”, as the Russian Federation “allegedly violated the UN Charter and a number of key principles”, which are the “cornerstone” »World organization.
According to Klimkin, Ban Ki-moon "has a number of reasons to visit Poland, the Ukraine and Moscow," but he hopes that "the general secretary will not attend the May 9 parade in Moscow."
