We want to have our passports. We have a completely different vision of the world and views on politics. We absolutely disagree with the policies of the US federal government. We have a completely different lifestyle.
This is common in our state - we are Texans. We have no hatred for the USA. But the main reason for the existence of our organization is that we are not the USA, we are Texas.
We have highly developed cattle breeding. It gives us the bulk of the products. This is not found in any other US state. We have a cowboy lifestyle. Cowboys have a cultural tradition to actively move around the country in large groups. Moreover, Texas has everything to exist as an independent state.
Look: Well, you Texans are different. You have a different culture and customs, you are not like other residents of American states. But why do you need independence? In the US, lives a huge number of different nationalities, representatives of different cultures. Is your culture and life someone oppresses?
N. S .: Take at least the education system. The federal government wants to teach our children in the way they see fit for the United States. We have a different view of things. We do not want our children to be what the American education does. We want our children to study the history of Texas. Nobody is against the USA or the history of the USA, we will also teach it.
The federal government is artificially trying to create an American identity. We do not want this. They teach that nationalism is bad. Why bad? Is it bad to be a patriot of your land? On the other hand, they fit everyone under a single framework, teach children to be American nationalists. Being a nationalist in Texas is bad, and being a nationalist in a mythical state union is good. This is not for Texans. That's all. We want the Texas flag to be raised in the mornings in Texas schools. We want Texas to be Texas.
"Look": You, the Texans, had their own presidents. Recall at least the Bush family. Do you still think that nobody represents your interests?
N. S .: Yes, that is how we think. For example, George W. Bush was born in Connecticut. He is not a Texan. Yes, he was the governor of Texas.
