Ex-Prime Minister of Japan during his visit to the Crimean Peninsula stated that a referendum in the Crimea resolved a territorial problem

53
The current Japanese authorities continue to say that they were categorically opposed to the visit of former Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama to the Crimea. Yukio Hatoyama is the chairman of the Japan-Russia Friendship Society, who decided to see first-hand how Crimeans live after their reunification with Russia. Before the trip, Hatoyama stated that he was going to check the information published by the Western and Japanese media that human rights were allegedly violated in the Crimea and people were desperate.

Ex-Prime Minister of Japan during his visit to the Crimean Peninsula stated that a referendum in the Crimea resolved a territorial problem

After arriving in Simferopol, communicating with local residents and ethnic Japanese who had moved to Crimea at the time, Hatoyama drew his own conclusions. Former Prime Minister of Japan says that all the talk about the "Crimeans and deprivations", about the "repression" have nothing to do with reality. At the same time, Hatoyama adds that the referendum held in the Crimea in March last year is an act of the will of the people, which the world community should not ignore.

Yukio Hatoyamu quotes Kryminform:

I am convinced that the way the referendum was held in the Crimea, and how the territorial problem was solved at the expense of the democratically held referendum, will remain in the world stories as one of the most iconic events.

Further, the ex-head of the Japanese Cabinet (2009-2010) made a statement, from which a nervous hiccup began in Kiev:
I learned with great joy that the Crimean referendum complies with Ukrainian legislation.

Meanwhile, in Russia, Hatoyama’s statements were not received by everyone with great enthusiasm. The following comments appeared on social networks: "Is Hatoyama going to transfer the experience of the Crimean referendum to the Kurils?"

Why think out for a person. He is a "former", maybe he said everything from the heart. Many "ex" begin to see clearly by freeing the "commanding chair"! Sitting in a "chair" they screwed up, and so they try to forgive their sins before leaving for another world. As Stirlitz said - the last phrase is remembered. So here too - the last loud statement will be remembered.

And we will not give up the Kuriles anyway. They are ours! And let this "former" atone for sins not at our expense. By the way, Japan has something to present to America - even if not a territorial dispute, but the destruction of civilians in Tokyo, Yokohama, Kobe, Hiroshima and Nagasaki is also significant. Moreover, in Japan, during these "humanitarian" bombings, the Americans killed more peaceful people than the Americans themselves died in that whole war.

Hatoyama arrived in Crimea on Tuesday. On the same day, he visited the Livadia Palace, where the Yalta Conference was held in 1945, after which he met with students of the Crimean Federal University in Simferopol.

On Wednesday evening, Hatoyama is scheduled to meet with the leadership of the Republic of Crimea, and on Thursday he will visit Sevastopol, where he will meet with the city governor and the head of the legislative assembly.

And as for the Kuril Islands ... yes, probably, it is very likely that Mr. Yukio Hatoyama has something in view of this. it would be strange if it weren’t - the Japanese consider the Kuril Islands their original territory and it is difficult to expect another from the Japanese.
Another question is that we are in no way obligated to satisfy these Japanese desires :)))) But the support given to us by Mr. Hatoyama now is worth a lot, thank him for that.

Why can't you just believe in the decency of a person who is curious to know the truth and see everything with his own eyes, and not the greasy eyes of an American cook? So the Japanese went to the Crimea. And the Kuril Islands, that the Kuril Islands, the Japanese offered to jointly master them without the eyes of the Americans with their aircraft carriers. Realizing that this is impossible and smells of armed conflict, the Japanese refused. But we do not hold back evil for them.

The ex-prime minister of Japan did not see tanks and starving people in Crimea.
Former Prime Minister of Japan, head of the Japan-Russia Friendship Society, Yukio Hatoyama, did not see tanks and starving people on the streets of Crimean cities, as claimed by the Western media. He told reporters about this.

“I’m only the second day in the Crimea, but I managed to see with my own eyes that the Crimeans live a completely happy and peaceful life,” he said. - The choice in favor of joining Russia was made quite obviously not under the influence of any armed influence, but in connection with their own aspirations and moods. I did not observe tanks on the streets, of course. Obviously, the information in the Western media is presented in a one-sided manner. ”
The former prime minister of Japan arrived on the eve of Crimea for three days, despite criticism from the Japanese government. According to him, he wants to personally verify the desire of the inhabitants of the peninsula to reunite with Russia, 11 March / TASS / reported.
Again, the Japanese, of course, are offended for the Kuril Islands, but "facts are a stubborn thing," and we have to admit them in spite of internal contradictions))

Well, suppose a person of this level will not go for nothing, so the tinsel about the dissatisfaction of the current cabinet can be thrown away. His mission is to probe the reconnaissance-diplomatic campaign, informal, "random" meetings with quite official and there are no persons of the second level, but with the authority to negotiate pressing issues, such as "Karl Wolf" and "Pastor Schlag" in one bottle. And the place of the “tourist trip”, as well as the statements about its purpose, are such a subtle allusion to very thick circumstances. I suppose the Japanese are well, sooo, something excited at their side, since such a public demarche went across the USA. It's not even in the Kuril Islands, something is mixed up in the Far East that the Japanese are uncontrollable, or the weight elite is out of balance and counterbalances influence on the development of some scenarios of events, so they want to probe possible support from Russia.

Unlike many Japan, the country is essentially mononational, they treat strangers with caution. So, in Japan, nothing shines, and time is lost: now they are slowly starting to invest in the Kuril Islands, develop production, and they build normal housing instead of barracks. I don’t think that the Kuril people will want to enter the country of samurai, so the Japanese didn’t even think of anything like that: unlike the square they don’t let anyone go into power, but it makes no sense to draw parallels with Crimea.

The real threat to Russia should not be expected from the West, but from the East. Japan in this sense is only one of the contenders. The protagonist of the new confrontation will be China. Please note that China has never abandoned its claims to part of the territories in Siberia (it suffices to recall the serious territorial conflicts (including military) between China and the USSR in 1964, 1969-70, 1979). Over the past 10 years, there has been a massive and, not excluded, targeted settlement of Siberia and the Far East by the Chinese. Today, in many settlements of Russia, Chinese can be met almost more often than people of Slavic appearance, and no one knows the exact number of migrants from China in Russia. According to official estimates, there are about 300-500 thousand of them, and according to unofficial estimates, from a million or more. Thus, sooner or later, China may be tempted to repeat the “Crimean scenario” of the Russian Federation, only with respect to protecting not the Russian-speaking, but the Chinese-speaking population of Russia.
And here the Russians have something to think about. The “prophets” who have come out of the depths of the people have been warning us all for about 100 years about the need to be more afraid of the threat, not from the “hostile” West, but from the “friendly” East. Given the recent events around the Crimea, this really can be more than relevant ...

The fact that another UDC is called Vladivostok, as it alludes to a certain development of events.
If China does not make sense to lose the buffer from Japan (there is a small Mongolia where the United States is striving for a large territory), South Korea has certain plans for another part of the half-island, then only Japan remains

This gesture is a certain promise, we are independent from the USA, but is it (the second creditor of the USA)?

This is essentially a statement of the fact that this is the last chance to agree peacefully with Japan on this issue (or Japan again in a coalition against).
He knows the mood in the highest political circles, and as an experienced politician he chose a very accurate moment to fulfill his promises to his electorate, and this as a way to remove US bases from Japan.
