Press Service of the North fleet The Russian Federation reports that one of the units of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation has received a new floating snow and swamp vehicle TTM-4902PS-10. The floating snow and swamp vehicle will be used by the Arctic brigade. The plans of the Ministry of Defense include the purchase of several dozen units of such equipment, which is indispensable for the Arctic latitudes.

Arctic brigade of the RF Federation Council received a new TTM-4902PS-10 snow and swamp-going vehicle

RIA News reports that the new snow and swamp vehicle successfully passed the tests in the conditions of the Arctic in the Murmansk region. Operation of the snow and swamp vehicle is possible at temperatures up to “minus” 50 degrees Celsius. The machine has a modular design, and therefore can be used to perform a variety of tasks: from the medical service machine to the command center. The capacity of the passenger module of the snow and swamp vehicle is 10 people.

Recall that Russia is implementing a strategy for full-scale return of military presence in the Arctic. Thus, on the island of Alexandra Land (Franz Josef Land Archipelago), a modern military town is being built. The total cost of the project laid down in the estimate is 4,2 billion rubles. To implement a special project, 76 builders are delivered to the island.

Information Agency Interfax reports that the scientific expedition ship "Mikhail Somov" delivers food, fuel and building materials to the island.

In total, about 150 military personnel will be serving in the town, including representatives aviation commandant’s office, radar company, anti-aircraft missile artillery battalion and aviation guidance point. The Ministry of Defense plans to put the town into operation by the end of 2016.

Everything is the old fashioned way, on the tracks, the 21st century in the yard, now the industry makes such tires, all-terrain vehicles on which are easier, passable and faster than tracked ones.

What does "the old fashioned way" have to do with it?
He himself has recently become interested in pneumatic passages, but in my opinion, this is a civilian vehicle not suitable for operation in war conditions. After all, the caterpillar is much stronger and more durable than rubber under pressure.

I want to reassure, I assume that this car was delivered to the Arctic brigade in Alakurtti (south of the Murmansk region), the soil there is good (rocky soil, sand), but overcoming water obstacles is mandatory. By the way, at the site of the super arctic special forces brigade there was a cropped motorized rifle division and a helicopter regiment, so they moved on GTT, GT-MU (I want to be MTLB), GAZ-66, GAZ-71 (72 turns out to be a victory 4x4 I apologize for the last comment, but in during the service, we called him "gazik"), ZIL 131, at least what was left in the park for the 14th year, and nothing, we managed. They were opposed by Finnish huntsmen on gasoline SISU (I want to be a "moose") and MTLB with marsh tracks and there was enough for everyone.

No words, everything is fine. But Russia should be a cut above in development. I am for interesting developments to be implemented in their native country. If you do not set fantastic tasks, then the movements will be scanty. This is not a bare owl. We developed an order of magnitude more efficient propellers than propellers and propellers. This is enough to already experiment with fundamentally new design solutions. Physics is justified. There are calculations. There is no implementation program. Therefore, it is possible on swamp tracks, but you still have to enter the future.

Everything is fine, but it's already worth building modular complexes. Each new module is built into the system. Firstly, the internal modules are always warm and less energy-consuming. It is time to really develop the northern zones and create comfortable living conditions there. The north should be a space for testing technologies used in settlements both under water and at other astronomical objects.

This device, judging by the picture, composite? Can they undock? No, I can. The fact that it is articulated is the whole point. The rotation is not due to the redistribution of effort on one track and the braking of the second, but due to the turning of the trailer (active), which means that the upper soft ground is not peeled off. Moreover, due to the fact that 5 hydraulic cylinders, unlike the k-700, it can lift its face upwards and overcome 1,5m. vertical obstacles, and can also maintain limited mobility even with one serviceable track. I had to ride in Bronnitsy (21 SRI) at one time, a brutal technique!

I am wildly sorry, but a year ago in 1986 I, as a kid, sailed on a similar shaitan-unit in the village of Raevsky p. Bashkortostan across the spilled river Dema. It was a big flood, eroded the road towards Sterlitamak, and now they launched such an aggregate through the largest ravine. The crossing was paid, 50 cop. per person, 3 rubles from the car (as motorists cried laughing ) So the boys tried to pull the ruble from their parents, so that in such a miracle they could swim in two directions.
