Deliveries of new ships and submarines of the Black Sea Fleet in 2015

The annexation of Crimea to Russia and the Ukrainian crisis had a serious impact on the situation in the Black Sea region. For this reason, the Russian military department has to take appropriate measures and pay increased attention to the grouping of armed forces in the Crimea. In addition, the development of the Black Sea fleet. This operational-strategic association of the Navy is responsible for protecting the southern maritime borders of Russia, and should also represent its interests in the Mediterranean Sea and parts of the Atlantic Ocean. As part of the program for the development of the armed forces in 2015, the Black Sea Fleet should be replenished with new ships and submarines. Consider the plans of the Ministry of Defense, as well as the last newsconcerning the renewal of the Black Sea Fleet.

The tests of the Admiral Grigorovich frigate, the lead ship of the 11356P / M project, are currently being completed. In mid-February, the ship’s degaussing procedure was announced. Over the next few months, the frigate must pass the remaining stages of testing, after which it can be transferred to the navy. In the spring, sea trials of the second frigate of the 11356P / M project “Admiral Essen” should begin. With a favorable set of circumstances, this ship can replenish the combat strength of the Black Sea Fleet by the end of the 2015 year.

Earlier it was reported that in the 2015 year, the Black Sea Fleet could receive three new frigates, including the ship "Admiral Makarov." Nevertheless, this ship has not even been launched yet and, obviously, will be handed over to the customer no earlier than next year. In total, the Black Sea Fleet should receive six frigates of the project 11356Р / М. Earlier it was planned to transfer only three ships to Black Sea sailors, and to include the rest into the Baltic Fleet. However, after the well-known events, it was decided to build the entire current series in the interests of the Black Sea Fleet.

One frigate of the 11356P / M project has already been built, another is being completed afloat, while the other two remain in the workshops of the Yantar shipbuilding plant (Kaliningrad). In 2015, the sixth ship of the series will be laid. In the future, it is possible to start building other ships of this type, which in the future will replenish the Pacific Fleet.

In August last year, it was announced that the Black Sea Fleet would soon receive several small missile ships of the 21631 "Buyan-M" project. A series of such ships was built for the Caspian flotilla, but due to a change in the military-political situation, the Ministry of Defense had to adjust its plans. Earlier it was reported that the Black Sea Fleet will receive six "Buyanov-M", but in early March there were updated data. Now it is stated that only two ships of this type will give the Black Sea Fleet. Currently under construction, the Green Dol and Serpukhov ships are now scheduled to be sent to the Black Sea.

Two small rocket ships, the transfer of which was reported a few days ago, are planned to be completed, tested and handed over to the customer before the end of 2015. From 2016 to 2018, the Navy should receive four more ships of this type. In the future, it is possible to sign a new contract for the construction of ships of the 21631 project.

In the near future, the Black Sea Fleet will receive new equipment designed to patrol waters and transport small cargo or personnel. In the summer of 2014, a contract was signed for the supply of eight patrol boats of the 03160 Raptor project, which is a licensed version of the Swedish CB90 boats. In accordance with the contract, the Pella plant was to deliver four boats in 2014 and 2015. At least half of the new boats will be transferred to the Black Sea Fleet by the end of 2015.

Last year, the Black Sea Fleet received the first two diesel-electric submarines of the 636.3 Varshavyanka project. This year, the ships Stary Oskol and Krasnodar should join the submarines Novorossiysk and Rostov-on-Don. March 6 in the domestic media there were reports of the start of factory trials of the submarine "Stary Oskol", which should last about 15-20 days. The transfer of this boat to the customer is scheduled for July. In April, the Admiralty Shipyards plant should launch the Krasnodar submarine, which will become part of the Navy by the end of autumn.

The Black Sea Fleet, which is now assigned special tasks, needs urgent updating by building new ships and repairing existing ones. Nevertheless, as we can see, the pace of construction of new ships, boats and submarines is not yet very high. It should be noted that in the near future it is planned to update the composition of the Black Sea Fleet only by continuing the construction of the already ordered ships and the redistribution of the ships under construction. Thus, the submarines of the Varshavyanka project or the frigates of the 11356Р / M project were originally intended to be sent to the Black Sea, while two ships of the Buyan-M were previously supposed to be transferred to the Caspian Flotilla.

One of the main reasons for this approach to updating the equipment of the Black Sea Fleet can be considered the long terms for the construction of ships. A fundamental change in the situation in the Black Sea region occurred only a year ago, so the military and defense industry did not have much time to change their plans. In addition, a significant role in this situation was played by the workload of shipyards.

As a result, the construction of the already ordered ships, boats and submarines continues, and some plans for their further service will change. In the future, it is possible to introduce new changes in the development plan of the Black Sea Fleet, and at present, the implementation of previously signed contracts continues.

It would be nice to load the Crimean shipyards themselves with orders. It is clear that at present this is hardly possible due to their condition, but in the future after modernization ... The Kerch shipyard Zaliv has already received an order from the Russian Ministry of Defense for the construction of two universal sea tankers of project 23131. I hope the plant team they will cope with this order, meet the deadline, then more serious projects will be possible.

At the Sevastopol Marine Plant. Sergo Ordzhonikidze, after nationalization, a new general director from St. Petersburg was appointed, formerly the head of the Higher Military Engineering School named after V.I. Lenin, Rear Admiral, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Yu.M. Khaliullin. Let's hope that the money for modernization will be quickly allocated and in a year or two the plant will take up the orders of the Navy.

Good news. By the way, another Crimean shipbuilding plant "More" (which "Zubrov" did) also has very good prospects. The plant has already received orders for 100 million rubles and this is just the beginning.

But the only Novorossiysk shipyard on the Black Sea was completely destroyed, now it is a container terminal, containers bring more money to the treasury ... Almost all the workshops were demolished.
There is a ship repair facility in Kerch, but there is no such dock.

I don’t think it is necessary.
Firstly, it is better to assemble ships of the same series in one place - this greatly facilitates maintenance and operation.
Secondly, they are built as ships of the distant sea zone, and what is the distant zone in the World Cup? Here they will be at the Pacific Fleet.
And for the Black Sea Fleet it will be possible to lay down a series of further development of the project, something like "11356R / 2M".

You are a little mistaken about the condition) more precisely, this is not the main reason why Crimean shipbuilders can remain without orders.
legal issues are probably a more tangible stopper: in terms of ownership, and in terms of licensing and certification.

Thank you, encouraging information on shipyards in the Crimea. That's just how modern and technological they are, or else we are building guard patrols (corvettes) for 4-5 years in Russia - it's just a shame. China then the latest destroyers bakes like pies, not to mention frigates. And for the Black Sea Fleet it is necessary to have at least 25-30 frigates and corvettes for various purposes (air defense, missile (high-precision medium and long-range weapons) and artillery), taking into account our presence in the Mediterranean Sea. Ships with a displacement of more than 5000 tons in the Black Sea are hardly necessary (it is easy to spot and destroy). But high-speed missile and torpedo boats and ekranoplanes are very much in demand here, like modern DAPLs.

Only after they close the near zone to the SF and Pacific Fleet. EMNIP, only 2 or 3 are left on the SF of the ships of the PLO of the near zone.
The first and main task of the fleet is to ensure the safety of the "underwater head" of the nuclear triad. Before solving this problem, "Was the Fleet" and "Chi Flot, Chi Ni Fleet" should be completed according to the principle of minimum sufficiency.
However, given that the Black Sea Fleet has become practically a floating museum, the "minimum sufficiency" for it is the replacement of all ships of the 11th brigade (except for the flagship) and the 247th division.

Something a little too much, would it be too expensive. I am sure that you can get by with a smaller number of ships of the same class, because much less is needed for trips to the Mediterranean (provided that the same or slightly more will remain at the bases). And security in the Black Sea itself will be very well ensured by coastal missile systems, which have targeted the entire water area, and submarines. It is another matter, one must think about replacing the RC "Moscow" with a more powerful and perfect one.

China has a goal to seize the whole world and plow across all the seas and an incredible amount of money. Building a modern fleet is only one thing, and keeping it a task of a different scale. After all, it was not without reason that they said if there is an enemy, give him an aircraft carrier so that he would go broke at its service. The main thing is that desire coincides with opportunities, and that there are great opportunities, a large and hardworking population is needed.

On 6 of March 2015 of the year, two diesel submarines of the 636.3 project departed from the embankment embankment of Admiralty Shipyards OJSC: the B-262 Stary Oskol for the first stage of sea trials and the B-237 Rostov-on-Don moved to Kronstadt to prepare to the transition to the Northern Fleet, where the final stage of sea trials will be held. Both submarines are intended for the 4-th separate crew of submarines of the Black Sea Fleet based in Novorossiysk.

Although not as fast as we would like, the fleet is being updated, the ships are being built and put into operation ... The chicken is pecking, the main thing is that the rearmament program is not being curtailed, justified by the lack of financial resources ...

PS The thought constantly sits in my head: many of our oligarchs could take some kind of patronage over individual ships ... At one time, the rich built chapels and even churches, atonement for their sins in the field of their "business", why not follow their example ??? And they have enough sins to re-equip all the fleets of Russia ...

Taking into account the presence of Onyx and Calibers on them, a pair of these MRACs in the anti-ship and anti-coastal role is equivalent to the Moscow.

glad news! the only thing - like a "trishkin caftan" - there are few ships ... in the Far East, China is building a fleet, Japan is stamping its "destroyers - aircraft carriers". On the Black Sea - the Americans are climbing, the conflict with Georgia in 2008, Transnistria that has been smoldering since the 90s, the civil war in Ukraine. In the north, it is necessary to cover the water area, deposits, the Northern Sea Route. In the Baltic, NATO, with the adjoining Sweden and Finland, are strengthening - few, very few ships are being built!

P.S. I consider it necessary to justify my own pessimism. Lost time is sometimes crucial. For example, you need to build a turbine for a nuclear power submarine for at least a year. Even such a powerful lever as Rogozin is unable to change anything. The frames were covered with a copper basin. Persuade retirees under 80 to return. Yes, I personally am pleased, but to go even to the trolley bus stop is a problem.
