Deliveries of new ships and submarines of the Black Sea Fleet in 2015
The tests of the Admiral Grigorovich frigate, the lead ship of the 11356P / M project, are currently being completed. In mid-February, the ship’s degaussing procedure was announced. Over the next few months, the frigate must pass the remaining stages of testing, after which it can be transferred to the navy. In the spring, sea trials of the second frigate of the 11356P / M project “Admiral Essen” should begin. With a favorable set of circumstances, this ship can replenish the combat strength of the Black Sea Fleet by the end of the 2015 year.

Earlier it was reported that in the 2015 year, the Black Sea Fleet could receive three new frigates, including the ship "Admiral Makarov." Nevertheless, this ship has not even been launched yet and, obviously, will be handed over to the customer no earlier than next year. In total, the Black Sea Fleet should receive six frigates of the project 11356Р / М. Earlier it was planned to transfer only three ships to Black Sea sailors, and to include the rest into the Baltic Fleet. However, after the well-known events, it was decided to build the entire current series in the interests of the Black Sea Fleet.
One frigate of the 11356P / M project has already been built, another is being completed afloat, while the other two remain in the workshops of the Yantar shipbuilding plant (Kaliningrad). In 2015, the sixth ship of the series will be laid. In the future, it is possible to start building other ships of this type, which in the future will replenish the Pacific Fleet.
In August last year, it was announced that the Black Sea Fleet would soon receive several small missile ships of the 21631 "Buyan-M" project. A series of such ships was built for the Caspian flotilla, but due to a change in the military-political situation, the Ministry of Defense had to adjust its plans. Earlier it was reported that the Black Sea Fleet will receive six "Buyanov-M", but in early March there were updated data. Now it is stated that only two ships of this type will give the Black Sea Fleet. Currently under construction, the Green Dol and Serpukhov ships are now scheduled to be sent to the Black Sea.

Two small rocket ships, the transfer of which was reported a few days ago, are planned to be completed, tested and handed over to the customer before the end of 2015. From 2016 to 2018, the Navy should receive four more ships of this type. In the future, it is possible to sign a new contract for the construction of ships of the 21631 project.
In the near future, the Black Sea Fleet will receive new equipment designed to patrol waters and transport small cargo or personnel. In the summer of 2014, a contract was signed for the supply of eight patrol boats of the 03160 Raptor project, which is a licensed version of the Swedish CB90 boats. In accordance with the contract, the Pella plant was to deliver four boats in 2014 and 2015. At least half of the new boats will be transferred to the Black Sea Fleet by the end of 2015.
Last year, the Black Sea Fleet received the first two diesel-electric submarines of the 636.3 Varshavyanka project. This year, the ships Stary Oskol and Krasnodar should join the submarines Novorossiysk and Rostov-on-Don. March 6 in the domestic media there were reports of the start of factory trials of the submarine "Stary Oskol", which should last about 15-20 days. The transfer of this boat to the customer is scheduled for July. In April, the Admiralty Shipyards plant should launch the Krasnodar submarine, which will become part of the Navy by the end of autumn.
The Black Sea Fleet, which is now assigned special tasks, needs urgent updating by building new ships and repairing existing ones. Nevertheless, as we can see, the pace of construction of new ships, boats and submarines is not yet very high. It should be noted that in the near future it is planned to update the composition of the Black Sea Fleet only by continuing the construction of the already ordered ships and the redistribution of the ships under construction. Thus, the submarines of the Varshavyanka project or the frigates of the 11356Р / M project were originally intended to be sent to the Black Sea, while two ships of the Buyan-M were previously supposed to be transferred to the Caspian Flotilla.
One of the main reasons for this approach to updating the equipment of the Black Sea Fleet can be considered the long terms for the construction of ships. A fundamental change in the situation in the Black Sea region occurred only a year ago, so the military and defense industry did not have much time to change their plans. In addition, a significant role in this situation was played by the workload of shipyards.
As a result, the construction of the already ordered ships, boats and submarines continues, and some plans for their further service will change. In the future, it is possible to introduce new changes in the development plan of the Black Sea Fleet, and at present, the implementation of previously signed contracts continues.
