Individual infantry weapons: a look into the future

18 612 95

The population of various countries: China - 1,4 billion people., USSR (in 1989) - 293 million people., USA - 320 million people., England - 63,4 million people., France - 65 million people. , Germany - 80,7 million people., Russia - 146 million people. 500 million people live in the European Union

From the above figures it can be seen that the population of Russia is such that in the event of a serious conflict, the ratio of our living forces with the enemy will be 1: 2, at least 1: 3 (not in our favor, of course). Consequently, based on the number, the effectiveness of each living unit must exceed that of the enemy in 2 — 3 times the minimum. How is this increase in efficiency achieved?

From the theory of economics (economy) it is known that greater efficiency is achieved by a greater specialization. This means that from the point of view of military affairs, greater efficiency is not achieved through further unification, as was the case in the Soviet Union (military doctrine of the USSR), and as it most clearly follows from observations of real combat clashes of recent decades, when ordinary clans turned out to be insufficiently effective , and due to the strengthening of various specializations, as it happens in all other industries, for example, in industry.

But these are common words. As for specifics, then, first of all, it is necessary to abandon the completely obsolete dogmas: edges of the cartridge case 7,62х54 mm.

Немного stories. The 7,62x54 mm ammunition was put into service in Czarist Russia in the 1891 year, its design is currently very outdated, the cartridge with the rim at this stage of history is probably used only here, the fact that automatic samples were created for it weaponsrather bad because This ammunition for them does not fully fit, the rim interfered with the magazine rifles - in the stores there was a chance that the rim would catch on the previous cartridge, and this would jam the weapon. Neither cartridge 7,92h57 mm Mauser, nor .30-06 Springfield (7,62h63 mm) and all cartridges similar to 7,62h54 mm eras do not have flanges, does not bead and breakfast 6,5h55 mm cartridge model 1894 years, etc .. In In my opinion, only here, in the 21st century, this atavism of the end of the 19 of the 20th century has been preserved - the lip of the sleeve.

The concept of the intermediate cartridge should be revised. Observing the development of technology in the last decade, it can be argued that in the next 5 — 10 years, or perhaps in the next 2 — 3, a powerful breakthrough will occur in the field of personal protective equipment. Already through 2 — 3, the appearance of an exoskeleton is expected, and a breakthrough in the field of protective equipment is already taking place before our eyes.

It is urgently necessary to strengthen the main ammunition (intermediate cartridge) to the length of the sleeve 40-50 mm, rifle - to 60 mm. Ammunition bullet diameters: intermediate - in the area of 6 mm, rifle - 7 mm. Large caliber: along with 12,7 mm weapons, individual weapons for 14,5 mm ammunition are needed, especially since the calculation for them will not change anyway - two people.

Pocket artillery — grenade launchers. Two types of hand-held grenade launchers should be introduced, one hand-held automatic of 20-30 mm caliber, the other standard single-shot (self-loading, or revolver) of 40 mm diameter, at least for the automatic (smaller diameter, and therefore smaller projectile weight) the maximum range should be increased to 700-800 meters (for example, the Baryshev automatic grenade launcher (AGB) shows good properties, see the video for the Baryshev assault rifle).

Rate of fire Automatic: in the area of 700 rounds per minute - optimally both in terms of recoil and in terms of ammunition consumption (the rate of fire in the field of 400 rounds per minute was more like submachine guns).

Machine gun branch: return separately developed machine gun under the intermediate cartridge, such as samples RPD or FN Minimi, with firing from the open bolt and the like features of the machine gun, and not the machine gun. Heavy "automatic" (RPK, RPK-74) or abolish or leave as an additional sample.

Shops: return options with increased capacity, drum or double drum, as well as auger (optional), the type of American Beta-C and the like.

Strange as it may sound, we already have ready-to-use ready-made samples that can be translated into working samples, just enough to reconsider the doctrine and the tactical and technical tasks. You can, for example, view the following articles:

topwar.ru/1531-kompleks-avtomaticheskogo-strelkovogo-oruzhiya-barysheva

warfiles.ru/show-25503-german-korobov-i-ego-oruzhie

Baryshev weapons:

The Baryshev machine gun with an open-bolt design is ideal for a branch / single heavy machine gun, as well as a grenade launcher. For automatic options - "sea".

To the question how much all this will cost, the answer, I think, will be the following: no more than the Olympics in Sochi or the bridge to the Russian island.

To imagine how it will be, I advise you to look at some Jin-Roh or play Fallout (who doesn't like old stuff, look at some last Killzone Shadow Fall).

We are talking about personal weapons. And in this case, the extra kg for a soldier is death. But I congratulate the author! A well-documented and relevant article.
Indeed, through 2-3 of the year, modern models will not be relevant for most armies ... Individual protection will increase so much that a small bullet will look like a pebble from a slingshot ...
The caliber needs to be increased, machine guns, I agree with the author, need to be converted to large-caliber for a long time. Three-line cartridges need to work ... Grenade launchers also need to be automated .. The auger is probably the perfect way out ... Or at least a revolver ...
With great pleasure I put a fat plus!

Well, of course, focusing on toys is too much. Toys are a figment of the imagination, which is not limited by physical principles. what

And most likely the weapons will follow the path of a historical spiral! Man will return to "plate armor suits".
Costumes are exoskeletons that will allow you to carry a lot of weight and provide protection against carbon monoxide and poisonous gases, and most bullets, with a medical hemostatic layer built into the suit, which will clog and disinfect wounds. And an outer layer that will restore the suit’s tightness.
Gauges will increase due to the effective protection of the enemy.
        Everything goes to that.

And then look and see this.

No kidding! Children's exoskeleton in Japan! smile

It is quite possible that the author's favorite film will return, even like in "Iron Man", the author's favorite film, the current is the question. And around what all the computer glands were spinning in the film? That's right - a source of energy. That's when there will be quite a source for itself, not advertising batteries "Energizer", that's when we'll talk about replacing not only the rims on the cartridge, but in general, together with small arms.

Exoskeletons - this is certainly good, can carry a lot - both its power plant, and heavy weapons, and BC to it ...
But this niche is already occupied by tanks. No "plate suit" can withstand even a 30-caliber automatic cannon, or even a 23-caliber cannon. Remains a small specialization - the assault on city buildings in anti-terror, otherwise it is easier to demolish the building ... And even then, if the dimensions of the exoskeleton will squeeze into the openings.
Consider the chassis of the exoskeleton - the speed is small, although there is a certain plus - say, in the mountains, there are more opportunities than caterpillars.
The whole dead end of the exoskeleton is that the purpose of its creation has not been determined. For now, it is only well suited for loading and unloading in cramped conditions, when it is impossible to fit a car. Moreover, it is necessary to frequently recharge the batteries of the "latnik"...

In total, the exoskeleton without solving problems with booking and extending the power plant operation cycle is just the loader bodybuilder Vasya, who came instead of the usual Uncle Vasya.
And with the solution to these problems - an under-tank with low speed and a slightly increased cross in the mountains.

When was this superiority decisive? were the Germans more in number when they conquered half of Europe? Japanese when half of Asia "paddled"? in a war, it is not who has more population that decides, but who has more money and resources to organize a safe supply, food, medicine, ammunition, from cartridges to shells, equipment, and well, well-trained personnel training with a reserve of course.

Children's scoops do not dig pits. wink

Every commander, every Red Army man and political worker must understand that our means are not unlimited. The territory of the Soviet Union is not a desert, but people - workers, peasants, intelligentsia, our fathers and mothers, wives, brothers, children. The territory of the USSR, which the enemy has captured and seeks to capture, is bread and other products for the army and rear, metal and fuel for industry, factories, factories supplying the army with arms and ammunition, railways. After the loss of Ukraine, Belarus, the Baltic states, Donbass and other areas, we have less territory, therefore, there are much less people, bread, metal, factories, factories. We have lost more than 70 million people, more than 80 million pounds of bread per year and more than 10 million tons of metal per year. We no longer have predominance over the Germans either in human resources or in stocks of bread. Retreating further means ruining oneself and ruining our Motherland at the same time. Each new patch of territory left by us will in every way strengthen the enemy and in every way weaken our defense, our Motherland.
Therefore, it is necessary to radically stop the talk that we have the opportunity to back off endlessly, that we have a lot of territory, our country is large and rich, there are a lot of people, there will always be plenty of bread. Such conversations are false and harmful, they weaken us and strengthen the enemy, because if we do not stop the retreat, we will remain without bread, without fuel, without metal, without raw materials, without factories and plants, without railways.

At the same time, I didn’t say a word about the fact that one must fight with bare hands or by covering the enemy with corpses.

The number of attackers and the width of the line (remember the film "Turkish Gambit") are a thing of the past with the invention of the machine gun, the improvement of the accuracy of the weapon (the trenches appeared for a reason) and its rate of fire. Then tactics appeared.

What are the results of this, we now see in Ukraine ... Both sides have learned to press so well the trigger that the cartridges are burning with trains ... And what's the point?
We are talking about creating a contract army. And that means we must have professionals in the army who are capable of mastering such weapons. Please do not forget that war is not a toy on a computer where cheat entered and weapons are always in good condition. AK did not have survivability and will not have it in the near future. Yes, it is not ideal for special troops, so they have other variations, but for an ordinary soldier who has little experience in handling, this is a treasure. The most important thing for a soldier in battle is not at all perfect accuracy (according to statistics, about 5000-10000 ammunition per one killed enemy) but reliability and not whimsicality. Try to forget to clean the M4, SCAR, AUG, G-36, etc., praised by all. after 1-2 clips, in a day misfires will be in one.

In this case, the choice was clear - urgent rearmament and the creation of massive stocks of NEW small arms. The competitor AK does not have production for the quick delivery of weapons to the stream, production for it still needs to be created, and this is new investment. Apparently, they think that there is no time for this.

Since when did the M16 become an open shutter? And the author makes a reservation - with an open shutter as a machine gun, and not a personal weapon.
This is the case, because for a light machine gun barrel cooling is a problem, and an open shutter helps a little, although dirt can get in. An example is the American M60 light machine gun - two firing modes: open (automatic) and closed (single). But there is not much interest in him in the troops.

It would be useful to know that the example of Ukraine clearly shows that during massive bombing, all high-precision weapons will be used up in the first days of fighting, and later it will be necessary to switch to cheap ammunition that can be assembled in any basement with minimal technical skills. And if nuclear weapons are used, then there is no need to talk about any high-tech weapons and their mass use! Everything will return to the models of 1891. What the hell are exoskeletons?
Of course, if you fight with the Papuans, and on their territory to rivet these skeletons with batteries of unimaginable capacity, then you can. And under the influence of serious resistance, and in terms of its infrastructure, it will be necessary to return to Berdan and Mosin.

The experience of two large warriors showed that there should be a lot of weapons and it should be simple and cheap.
There should be a lot of rounds for him, so much so that the exchange of 100 bullets for 1 enemy soldier seemed a suitable exchange.

    There is a "sticking".
    1) Luke They have been around for thousands of years, and few today can make a bow and arrow themselves.
    2) First muskets and squeaked were a breakthrough and held out on the arms market of the century. Few people today can make a powder muzzle-loading shooter from scratch, mix gunpowder, and shoot a bullet. And this weapon is much simpler than modern bored multiply charged shooters with chopped trunks.
    3) Weapon for "unitary" cartridge(where everything for a shot is collected together). Hardly anyone today can do at least something shooting, even close to standing next to the outdated Mosin magazine rifle. All this outdated "junk" of the past wars is three heads above our ability to do something. This is all done by single talents and not on the first try.

    Conclusions:
    1. If we see it every day and are used to it, this does not mean that we will be able to repeat it in case of loss, which indicates our lagging behind our conceit. We use, but do not manufacture. AND WANT MORE AND BETTER.
    2. The arms race should end at the current level of arms development. Let people die from metal, and not the planet from ionic jet storage.
It is not in vain that humanity is dulling itself with progress.

        2) Do you distinguish steel from cast iron? Sosav began to analyze you can? Can you harden steel - so as not to overheat to a fragile state? Bear in mind that steels of different composition are tempered differently!
        3) How will you evaluate the strength / uniformity of the metal and the required wall thickness of the barrel? And if you checked the quality and appreciated - then ...
        4) How will you make the barrel? CAST? - we need a SPECIAL furnace with a blower, crucibles, molds, models for casting, finishing and grinding of the surface, we must deal with casting sinks ... after casting, the quality of the metal WILL CHANGE! - again forging-assessment-measurement. DRILL? - not only a billet of steel of the required quality is needed - but also a high-precision and high-strength drill (made of metal is HARDER than the metal of the billet for the barrel), special, precise and powerful drives are needed to rotate and move this drill.
        5) How and where will you take gunpowder? The simplest to manufacture is black powder.
Composition - you know? Well, let's say you know. Only three components are needed. Sulfur, coal, saltpeter (of course potash!). What do sulfur and nitrate look like - you know? Where to get sulfur and nitrate - you know? How to clean saltpeter, sulfur, coal - you know? How to mix gunpowder, how to dry, how to press, how to store, how to transport - you know?

But then I realized that it is better to do activated carbon yourself. Burning wood without air. Initially, everything was all right in the mortar and sifted through three nylon stockings. But it turned out that coarse grinding is more effective. With regards to the trunks, the guys on the lathes did easily. But this is not my part. I made rockets.

What is shown in the photo is no longer "arson". This is a weapon of muzzle equipment WITH IMPACT ignition of the "seed" for igniting the charge (the mainspring, apparently placed on the back of the photo). In addition, in a musket, both the seed and the main charge are filled with black powder (based on potassium nitrate), while this (household) weapon model is clearly designed for equipment and the main charge and the seed with ordinary "sulfur from matches" (based on berthollet salt) - which, in fact, allows him to ignite the seed charge in an impact manner.
        .
And the classical "ignition" - it is IMPACT ignition (by definition) - does not have and requires manual ignition (ignition - hence the very term "ignition") of the seed.

No, I'm not saying that you need to stop all R&D, but the timing is not right. I'm afraid they will again find us during the rearmament. Well, yes, in the future there will be armor and exoskeletons, only one gives rise to another, therefore, an increase in protection will lead to the creation of other ammunition, but according to the logic of the author, the soldiers of the future will go into battle with at least 100mm cannons and ammunition for them (only three rounds wassat), not well, if the war is on the moon ... then YES. hi

        "...
in airless conditions, laser weapons will go ...
        ..."
        .
        no, it won’t ...
The efficiency of the "laser" is like that of a steam locomotive, and "in airless conditions" it is VERY DIFFICULT to dissipate the "extra" energy ...
        - here you go.
Let the power of the "combat laser" be of the order of 10 kW (if less, then it is no longer very combat 8-). Then, with the laser efficiency in the hard-to-reach 10%, it will be NECESSARY to SCATTER "into the gozmoz" already 90 (!) KW ...
        .
And "in airless conditions" only ONE heat transfer mechanism actually works - THERMAL RADIATION. This means that in order to dissipate significant power (and 90 kW is a SIGNIFICANT power for its dissipation in the "gozmoz"), either a "noisy" area of a heat-emitting surface is needed, or, similarly, its "noisy" temperature (which is preferable, i.e. (since the radiation power is proportional to the FOURTH power of the absolute temperature - Wien's law).
        .
        - But also THAT (the area of the "refrigerator" is about hundreds of square meters) and OTHER (the temperature of a compact "refrigerator" is thousands of degrees) "in airless conditions" - it is rather DIFFICULT TO BE IMPLEMENTED ... to put it mildly ...
        8-))
        .
No, you can still, of course, "dump into the gozmosis" excess energy - MASS TRANSFER - ie. to heat up a certain coolant - and spit it out - heated "into the gozmoz". But then the number of laser pulses will be limited by the AMOUNT OF HEAT CARRIER delivered "to the gozmosis" from the ground! - Which, you see, is not very attractive.

But an increase in caliber is a dead end path, because the weight of each cartridge increases and their number in the BC decreases accordingly - the infantryman is not a camel, 100 kg. ammunition will not rub. science also speaks for this: E = mv2 / 2, that is, an increase in speed by a factor of 2, increases energy by a factor of 4.

This "suit-apparatus" carried serious weapons, had an independent breathing apparatus for the pilot, and made it possible to fly both in the atmosphere and in open space. All control of the device, I mean, is difficult, such as aiming at a target or activating various functions, the pilot performed with brain commands. Surrender citizens that this is what we are going. These things are unlikely to quickly learn to fly, but the infantry option is easy. To match the design and price - such ammunition is easy to mass produce.
      .
Sometimes the winding of the UHMH is made of several wires, connecting each to a separate capacitor: due to a mismatch in the currents, the radiation is scattered more evenly. The same purpose is served by the deployment in large-caliber electromagnetic munitions (EMBMs) of not one large, but several small emitters scattered before group detonation (this technique is borrowed from nuclear munitions). Then the radiation energy density that hits the target is created over a larger area. In this case, as a rule, only one element is equipped with a non-contact fuse, the rest are triggered by the simplest radiation sensors, the most powerful pulse of which will give out the first of the undermined high-frequency microwave ...

In May 1995, representatives of the Armament Department of the Ministry of Defense gathered at the training ground of the Central Physical-Technical Institute of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. Near Sergiev Posad, on a site with a diameter of about 200 m, anti-tank mine fuses that were REACTIVE TO MAGNETIC FIELDS of passing military vehicles were laid out. The military tested the performance of randomly selected samples with a small magnet: claps of control detonators followed. Then, in the center of the site, a small munition based on the WMHF was blown up. The members of the commission moved from mine to mine, gradually moving away from the center of the site, but no matter how much they waved magnets, none of the mines reacted: a powerful pulse of electromagnetic radiation from an ammunition explosion literally “blinded” the magnetic sensors of the fuses.

I am a longtime fan of hard fiction combat, I can say that the author was attracted by the "brilliant tsatzki" who exaggerate the image of the hero, distracting from other aspects.
If you think about the wars of the future, you need to think about the totality of weapons and equipment systems, communication systems, control and intelligence, organizational staffing structures.
Over time, they will develop optimal systems and structures, but something can be seen now.
For example, I do not see the military use of the exoskeleton in wars ranging from local to higher. Already with the existing level of technology, a soldier can be protected from the damaging factors of WMD, from shrapnel wounds and from adverse external conditions without overloading him or the support unit. Already with the current level of technology, it is possible to give soldiers the best weapons, which will be equally effective in all types of terrain and at all distances. Already with existing technologies, a soldier can be given communication, navigation and control systems without overloading him with information and wires.
for all this, no external supporting motor mechanisms are needed.

Switzerland can fit seven times in the Tyumen region. Maybe ... but doesn’t want to.

Economic issue not considered? You can manually create a unique body armor for a couple of months worth 500 thousand rubles. There is still much to be done.

For example - the central plate for the upper class bulletproof vest holds the bullet from the SVD at point blank range, and more than once. It is cermet and covers only the heart - even the whole breast cannot close, more like a mass. The stomach and limbs also remain less protected. The head is also not protected in the best way - a helmet, but the face is usually open.
Now estimate - how much will it all weigh if you close the body to the maximum? Plus ammunition, weapons ...
And even if a physically strong man can move in it - how much is enough for him?

The stump is clear - the rival with "additional muscles" will win.

        There are also other restrictions!
        - I was always surprised - why Germans in old cartoons / films are sometimes depicted in helmets with two small "horns".
        - and quite recently on some forum I read that it turns out that during the First World War German helmets were really "with horns". It was supposed to hang a bullet-proof shield on these horns (for the face) ...
        - But then the Germans REFUSED to use such shields. And helmets "with horns" remained - and the remnants of their reserves were enough even for the beginning of the Second World War.
        .
And with the "shields" - such "hochma" was hassled.
        - The fact is that if a rifle bullet "from a three-line" hit such a shield - then even if it did not pierce it - then the "head in a helmet" received such a blow from a bullet (impulse per unit of time) - BROKEN THE NECK CALLS of the owner of the helmet ... Those. when a rifle hits the head - either without a shield, or with a shield - the soldier is all one KIRDYK. The only difference is that "with a shield" - the area of the head lesion was MORE ...

        And here is NO!
The "clarity" of this "stump" - depends on MANY FACTORS.
        And first of all:
        - from the RELIABILITY of the device itself,
        - from MTBF in conditions of high humidity and dust
        - from the RELIABILITY of the device power supply
        - from CONTINUOUS TIME of one set of power supply / liter of fuel
        - from the FAST device drives
        - from DEMASKING SIGNS of the device (noise level, profile height in the "lying" position)
        - from the REPAIR of the device
        - from the RESISTANCE of the device to minor damage
        etc. etc.

and. I do not play games, I analyze the facts.

      b. Games that were developed for the sake of "fun" a long time ago, at least there, they have long been laid the necessary matrices for typical modeling of situations (behaviors).

at. In terms of the audience, the stake has long been made on set-top boxes, it is easier to select the desired audience, as well as to cut off the "left" people, since in the poor world, they traditionally play computer games, so it is cheaper, in the USA they play on a specialized tool - consoles, and work on a computer, so the target audience in general stands out cleaner - the leaders in consoles are Japan and the USA.

Solid fiction reads a scanty number of people, so you will not see anything worthwhile in terms of the near future - because enthusiasts will write, and no one will ever devote them to real plans - they are not needed, only a mass audience with typical thinking is needed.

The game is released from the application only on the console - this is PS4, there are games coming out everywhere (multiplatform), nevertheless, according to the general style of control (so-called discrete control - with pre-prepared pieces without unnecessary freedom of movement - discrete thinking within the "framework" set by someone) all high-budget shooters are created on the console principle (usually discreteness, "framework principles"), nevertheless they are useful:

      e. If the enemy acts on the "masses of people" then he easily reveals his plans, which means he can be easily "read" according to these plans, here's another high-budget cross-platform shooter with explicit direct modeling:

Comrades! The article is generally strange. First, the author offers to get away from the edge on the sleeve, then falls into some strange fiction. What can be said about the topic raised?
    1. It is proposed, it seems to be correct, to remove the edge of the sleeve, but for this it is necessary to send all weapons to the remelting, moreover, it has proved combat effectiveness and exists in many thousands of copies that cannot use such a cartridge. First, a cartridge is made, its characteristics are determined, then a weapon is made. Everyone knows this very well. On the contrary, they do not. Who, and for what purpose, will now begin to develop a new cartridge and weapons for him, if that is capable of performing the required tasks?
    2. The caliber of cartridges was not chosen from the patterns on the ceiling, the mass of the bullet, too. Armor penetration and accuracy can be changed (within certain limits) due to another bullet, the composition of gunpowder, there are several more subtleties. This is not a secret either. Ammunition and weapons were always created on the basis of what tasks with the help of these weapons should be solved. Wicked squeals of an ivory caliber with muzzle loading were quite effective at one time, but can offer the author himself to fight with such a gun, to evaluate?
    3. Rate of fire of assault rifles. At one time, the PPS was valued much higher than the PPSh precisely for its lower rate of fire, i.e. lower ammunition consumption and higher accuracy. And what does the author propose to replace the AK of all types and modifications with? I agree that there are more effective models, but so far there have been none that would compare with the "Kalash" in terms of cheapness, reliability, unpretentiousness, speed of mastering by soldiers, maintainability in field conditions. It is possible to create an ultra-precise ultra-light weapon with a bullet acceleration due to a portable nuclear reactor, but teaching a reservist to use it, storing it in a warehouse for 30 years and returning it to service by cleaning it from preservative, and if the warehouse was blown up, then not bothering, since the damage is small, is somehow unrealistic.
    4. Imagine a spectacle: the unit fords a shallow small river, cleans the sandy beach of the enemy, expands the bridgehead, and fighters in steep exoskeletons stand like statues, because someone has wet sand jammed in the hinge, someone shortened the electronics after bullets and water hit. And after the enemy is pushed back, the skeleton repair unit takes out the soldiers from the shell and proceeds to repair. If only somewhere on a computer modeled this, I like comedies laughing .
What kind of armed forces should this be in size and value? What caravans should follow such infantry with everything necessary for servicing armor? And what combat tasks without an ex-shell are the aircraft now unable to solve? Moreover, in history we see that for every super-powerful defense, as soon as it becomes more or less massive, there is a means of effective destruction.

The author of the article was not worth the effort here. It would be better if I wrote scripts for science fiction films, honestly, it can turn out much better. And in science fiction, not quite on the topic

And after pushing back the enemy, the skeleton repair unit digs the soldiers out of their shells and starts repairing them. I wish they could simulate something like this on a computer somewhere, I like comedies.

It is easy to mix all the obvious shortcomings in one article, but it is very difficult to give out really sensible ideas and interesting proposals on the topic, with a couch education. I just don't understand why the moderators posted the article? Maybe to amuse people.

When it comes to gaming, I am reminded of the good old Jagged Alliance 2. Agony of Power. When creating the avatar, it was excellently said - "There can be only one Chuck Norris, and Leonardo de Vinci is also a rarity. Therefore, we took the characteristics of the guard Vasya as a basis."
Why am I doing this? Likely to how much a person can drag on himself without losing mobility and without injuries to the body (muscle strain, spinal injury). This weight is only an average of 50 pounds. Yes, you can boot up to 70-80, but with it you can go on the march, but not run around the battlefield (in particular in the city).

Now let's see what could be on a simple "private Vasechka" during a sortie.
    1. Clothing. (Doesn’t he run naked?) From 5 to 10 kilos depending on the season (I think everything is +15 for the Arctic)
    2. Equipment (body kit, bronik, helmet, protection of elbows and knees) add another 5 - 15 kilos, depending on the kit.
    3. Weapons (do not poke a finger?) Weight of the Kalashnikov Assault Rifle 74M - 4 kilos; + Bayonet-knife (.31kg) (AK12 - 3.2 kilos)
    4. Cartridges (remember the proverb of Patrons happens a little, or it is a little but you cannot drag more?). If I am not mistaken, there should be 8 stores in the standard kit of a fighter. One store weighs about 0.25 kilos. (Who stutters that plastic is better than iron in advance. Extra kilos of weight are not taken cartridges IMHO). Given that I did not find the weight of the cartridge, we will proceed from the assertion that 200 rounds of 7,62 × 39 mm weigh as much as 300 rounds of 5,45 × 39 mm (vetch). 8 stores are 240 rounds. Plus you can put simple by weight. Also have a weight caliber 5.45 weighs 10.8 grams. In the body kit we get .25 kilo
    5. Nutrition. The RPI weighs 1,5 pounds.
    6. Water. In a flask 1 liter. This is 1 kg.
    7. Grenades. (I don’t know who drags and how much they weigh and how much they weigh. But let's take 5 kilos)
Total by weight we have 24 kilograms in the minimum version, at a maximum of 44.6 kilograms
(Of course, a lot has been taken from the ceiling, but they don’t pay me for research, and just think and dream up ...)

By the way, I did not take into account first-aid kits, additional equipment (optical sights, night vision devices, masks, gas masks, communications, etc.), additional weapons (grenade launchers, ATGMs, MANPADS and others). Other types of weapons (By the way, PKM - 7,6 kilo without cartridges, Pecheneg 8.2 kg, Cord (heavy machine gun) 25,5 without a machine)). Personal weapons (pistols) PMM 7,6; Py 0,95; GSh18 0,47 kg without magazine and cartridges.

These are the stories. By the way, this is also the reason for ex-suits being developed - all this will allow the fighter to take more weight (armor / ammo / weapon).

I don’t know, fortunately or unfortunately, these are the views that dominate military science. This is actually amazing. Someone is looking for a future in rim filing. Someone is in the "improvement of the regular structure of troops", etc. etc.
In my opinion, the closest and most frank of all is the real problem (and not the staff structure) that Americans are considering. Why is their robotics so sweet to them? What for? This direction does not solve a single task facing the troops. Difficult, expensive, terribly expensive ... what's the matter? There is a reason. Only everyone is embarrassed to call her.
There is, you see, some contradiction. It is clearly seen from the ratio of ammunition released on the battlefield and the number of hits at least in something. Do you remember? The number of hits is negligible. There are a thousand bullets to hit, sometimes higher. So let's improve the sights! Reduce the dispersion, make the weapon more ergonomic, replace the new materials with the latest ... Great. The truth does not help at all, it just comes out worse! What's the matter?
Another fact. The number of hits is distributed unevenly, one side has more, the other has less ... what's the matter? Considering each individual case, you can find an explanation. The Borax type in Transvaal were incomparable shooters, confronting the ill-trained Tommy recruited at the docks for quick. But if we consider the issue as a whole and not be shy, the problem begins to manifest itself. Better get those who ... fighting for a just cause! It sounds silly, it’s unscientific. But the authorities have already strained, they have strained strongly, they then understand what’s the matter.
You can after all, and more scientific. It shoots better, ditches better, better ... better ... the side wins, whose morally psychological mood contributes to victory. I.e? That is, victory is not so much in weapons as in fighters. And even more likely in fighters, if the weapons are not revolutionary. And then we come to the main thing.
First of all, it is necessary to work not with accuracy, but with courage. First, a winner is needed for victory, and military equipment only later. And this is something scary ... This is something I don’t want. I want to replace everything with a weapon. Because ... Who is the winner? This is a strong, smart, honest, courageous person. What kind of horror is that ?! It is also by no means impossible !! Do you understand? States are afraid. Mortally afraid. We are ready to lose wars, if only we would not make WINNERS out of our citizens. Strong, smart, honest, courageous. Trained on the speed of thinking, on decision-making, looking for a way to victory in any situation. Strong. And then this man comes after such a terrible preparation home. He goes to a public place, to the servants of the sovereigns, whom he defended without sparing his stomach. Presented? But he is not so alone. Their whole army. And the youth is so trained. And in the eyes of the rest of the people, the defenders are hope and support ...
The people who are currently the backbone of all the most visible state entities are not afraid of anything like these subjects. Not foreign soldiers, but their own citizens, who cannot be deceived (the brain is developed), over which baseness cannot be exalted (strength, decisiveness, collectivism), etc. In general, we will improve the cartridge. No task is more important ...
