New Chinese Airborne Assault Vehicle CS / VN3C 4x4 at the AirShow China 2014 Airshow

Airborne fighting vehicle CS / VN3C 4x4 Chinese airborne troops at an exhibition in the Chinese city of Zhuhai in November 2014 of the year

At the airshow in the Chinese city of Zhuhai in November 2014, the Chinese airborne troops showed a new light armored vehicle, the 4x4 CS / VN3C, which shortly before it entered service for this branch of the armed forces. The light armored infantry fighting vehicle CS / VN3C has good maneuverability, it can easily be transported by military transport aircraft such as, for example, the new Y9.

This new type of armored vehicle is specifically designed for rapid deployment and emergency situations. CS / VN3C can perform a full range of tasks, such as reconnaissance, city battles, or personnel transporters.

Engine with transmission located in front of the car. The car is equipped with an independent suspension with twin horizontal arms. The driver sits in front to the left, and the commander to the right. On each side there is one door, another one is located in the stern of the car.

The single turret is mounted in the center of the hull and is armed with an 30-mm cannon and a paired 5,8-mm machine gun. Three smoke grenade launchers are installed on each side of the tower. The machine can also be equipped with the Red Arrow 73C anti-tank guided missile complex.

The CS / VN3C can hold up to 7 people, including the driver, gunner, commander and four paratroopers. After two minutes of preparation, the machine is completely ready for water; set in motion on the water with two propellers installed in the rear of the hull.

My God, what a window there is with him, the gun does not shoot forward and to the left. On her poster - Fri calculation KNOW!
Ps or is it easy to clean on the battlefield? As it does not seem that the frame at the bottom falls into the joint, it lies directly on the armor, it seems that in order to lower the hatch, you need to unscrew the side wings with a screwdriver.

Looked closely, and now you look, it is on the armor, at the very base there is a narrowing of the front panel and it’s not even visible what is there, where to lower it. And besides this, the frame protrudes around the glass, if we assume that it folds in, the rivets on the sides say that this is not so.

Please note that the Chinese did not give up triplexes, unlike Typhoons, Tigers and other new Russian technology. The view through the cracked bulletproof glass is almost absent, and in battle and when moving, the view is necessary.

A tiger and a typhoon are generally from another song, and yet yes, typhoons have an all-round camera.

In fact, BMD (and an article about BMD) and an armored carrier (NOT an armored personnel carrier) are designed for completely different purposes. And then, keep in mind that the PLA does not have its (fortunately) combat experience. Yes, they are actively studying a stranger, but their own is their own.

Yeah, even if a tin case, so what?
More than one and a half billion Chinese, if they put up an army of 100 million people and a quarter would be for all kinds of armor, what then?
Then, I'm afraid they will throw us hats ... (like me by the minuses)

In theory, the glazed superstructure above the driver's seat should be folded in combat conditions, and the review is carried out through triplexes. Find TTX.

I liked the solution applied to the fur. water. Cool cap, not like dust on our faces. And in the war zone it is buried in the building and everything is standard. But makes it impossible to get out of course. Although I think you can think of it.

I don’t know why, but if they had shown it to me for the first time and hadn’t been told that it was Chinese, I think that I would have guessed right away about the country of origin.
Driver's seat yes, an interesting solution

    Drive position in GTK Boxer:

Remove from the stoppers. Then you turn the handle (to the left of the steering wheel)

And the Chinese look like scrub.

The photo shows the cars of two modifications. Khaki colors - with welded hulls without additional armor, in desert color - with additional. booking. There are external differences in the design of the driver's "cap".
By the way, about the triplexes. Triplexes are often mistakenly called periscopic observation devices. On this car, the driver has periscopic observation devices, judging by the photo 4, to move "in combat".

Well, the machine does not pull on the BMP, most likely a light armored personnel carrier combining reconnaissance and patrol functions. It is interesting how the problem of overcoming the ditch is solved? In general, the car is at the level of global trends.

      1. analogue of the mess, this is stated in the article.
      2. in BRDM-2M there are no additional wheels, in their place is a side hatch.

absolutely right approach for the quick-eyed, and the fact that the performance was disappointing, duck is still no worse than our modern messes and Tigers.

An infantry fighting vehicle, by definition, should operate on the front line in the same ranks with tanks, while the landing serves to support tanks in a city (or wooded area) ... the reservation must be appropriate (withstand RPG shots and so forth in the forehead, and the minimum side of a large machine gun) ... this tin is unlikely to survive the shelling from dshk ... so what kind of bmp is this?

Painfully, this Chinese armored car resembles the old Italian Puma armored personnel carrier in the 4x4 version. Production of a prototype in 1988. It was planned to purchase 600 of these machines for the Italian army (400 in the 4x4 version and 200 in the 6x6 version). The figures are, of course, very approximate. True, the Italian did not have a tower, and only the Browning M-2NV machine gun was armed.
