Sailors of one of the squadron cruisers at the gun, next to which is the protection of the servants of the cannon-beds (vertically suspended sandbags)

Bunks are exactly bunks, not "vertically suspended sandbags."
The accessories of any bed are: cork mattress, pillow, blanket and sheets. All these things are rolled up for a day in a bunk, which is laced through the grommets of the longitudinal edge and the corresponding bow and is packed until the next night in special storage on the upper deck, which are called bed nets. Due to the buoyancy of the cork mattress, the berth serves as a life-saving tool, and also served as protection against bullets and fragments during the battle.

Why do articles with old photos always have so few views?

It means that they are so interested in Russian history, or rather they are almost not interested, hence the result. Awesome selection, thanks!

To the author “+.” During his term in service on EM “Perfect”, he slept on the mattress and pillow stuffed with cork quite comfortably. However, the day is pushed so that it’s all the same to sleep where you can only “sit on your back.” in combat color and what ..... asked Rozhestvensky ordered the use of "Victorian livery"?

Great photos, it is very interesting to learn about the history of our fleet. Honestly, I haven’t even seen one before.
Tell me, if there weren’t any pictures of the ships of the Russian squadron participating in the Tsushima battle, I would love to see it.

The history of your homeland is always very informative for a real inquisitive person, you look at these photos and sometimes you want to have a time machine and with it help to go back in time and change something taking into account current knowledge about past times.

Yes, the pictures seem to convey the spirit of that time. In modern photo captions, you need to be careful. Ships are called ships. And the person taking aim from "Smith and Wesson" is called a sailor, although on the Dutchwoman's shoulder strap one can see a stripe - a wide galloon of the boatswain (the modern analogue of the rank - chief petty officer) and, most importantly, the chain of the boatswain's pipe catches the eye. Many thanks to the author

I always wondered why in our books on the history of the fleet there are scanty numbers of photos of poor quality. Despite the fact that there are a lot of them, and very good ones.
    The author is a plus.
