The captain of the first rank Igor Dygalo, representative of the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense for the Navy, said that by the end of 2015 it would be part of the Naval fleet the Igor Belousov ocean-going rescue vessel of project 21300С will enter, which began factory sea trials in December last year.
“Until the end of 2015, the search and rescue service of the Navy will receive the Igor Belousov ocean rescue ship,” Dygalo RIA quotes "News".
In addition, a spokesman for the press service noted that this year the Russian Navy will receive three rescue tugs, four newest rescue boats, as well as seven rescue multifunctional boats of modular type.
The head rescue ship of the 21300C project “Igor Belousov” was built on the St. Petersburg “Admiralty Shipyards”. Its main purpose is to assist emergency submarines lying on the ground or being in a surface position, supplying electricity, air and life-saving equipment to surface ships and submarines. The vessel is equipped with a set of the latest life-saving equipment, including underwater vehicles and pressure chambers, as well as medical equipment.
