Do not fight with Russia: it will be worse!

Philip Giraldi, who previously worked for the CIA and now serves as executive director of the United States National Interest Council, believes that the West’s desire to “drive Russia into a corner” is a bad policy. You can not provoke a strong enemy in the international arena.

Do not fight with Russia: it will be worse!

Article by Comrade Giraldi was published "The American Conservative".

During the Cold War, the Central Intelligence Agency did everything it could to discredit the Soviet Union, writes the publicist. There is also propaganda in newspapers exposing human rights violations in the USSR, financing samizdat, and support for organizations like Solidarity opposed to the communists. Today, more than twenty years after the collapse of the Soviet Union, many signs suggest that Washington is once again slipping into a new and “completely unnecessary confrontation with Moscow,” the author points out. And here the main role is played not by the CIA, but by the Congress, which openly imposes sanctions and adopts resolutions, and the State Department, whose officials are rolling around the world with known goals. The publicist notes some “trainings” on the political self-organization of citizens that are carried out through social networks by non-governmental organizations, for example, the National Endowment for Democracy (NED). In fact, the preparation of such campaigns is carried out by a private contractor, and not by an agency associated with the US government, which increases the “plausible denial of official ties”.

The amount of five billion dollars spent on "pluralistic democratization" of Ukraine, the author directly calls the cost of "regime change" and "frank intervention" of the United States in the internal politics of another country.

As for Russia, even if someone believes that Putin is “the embodiment of evil,” and he is seeking to “conquer Eastern Europe” again, the dispute is not the same thing as putting slogans on bumpers, says Giraldi. Unfortunately, the US Congress is doing just that. To a lesser extent, the White House deals with labeling.

Earlier, former Congressman Ron Paul from Texas criticized the Congressmen’s “overly explicit maneuvers”, the purpose of which was nothing more than to increase tensions in the relations between the United States and the Russian Federation.

In particular, Paul criticized the 758 resolution of 4 in December, which "strongly condemned the actions of the Russian Federation" and Vladimir Putin, allegedly guilty of pursuing a "policy of aggression against neighboring countries" and wanting "political and economic domination." Only ten people in Congress voted against this resolution!

According to Paul, this document is war propaganda. The resolution can really provoke a war. Congressmen condemned Russia for invading Ukraine, accused Moscow of crashing a Malaysian liner, condemning the sale by Russia weapons Syrian government accused Russia of invading Georgia in 2008 year. Moreover, the congressmen connived to assert that Moscow illegally, through hacking networks, collects information about the US government. Finally, the Kremlin manipulates public opinion by using “media controlled by it”.

According to Ron Paul, rarely any resolution contains so many lies, half-truths and distortions. In addition, many of the accusations should be attributed not to Moscow, but to Washington.

Russia now has a hard time, its economy is in crisis. Impact and the fall in oil prices, and Western sanctions. Russia considers the imposed sanctions illegal, but so far it has failed to take any effective measures against them. But she will take these measures if the sanctions increase. In this case, lawsuits related to contract violations will begin. As a result, all parties will suffer; only a few international law firms will benefit from lawsuits.

Sanctions will not change Russian politics. Ukraine for Moscow is a vital region on the world map. Diplomacy of threats and the “Damocles sword”, which the US Secretary of State John Kerry uses, only poison the atmosphere, the author believes.

The United States will lose a lot if Russia starts to act according to the Old Testament law "an eye for an eye." Today, Moscow cooperates with both the United States and Europe, helping to track the financing of terrorist groups and drug traffickers. But the Kremlin is unlikely to continue this cooperation if it considers that the West is attacking Russian financial institutions and the economy as a whole. Moreover, the Russians can return to their old policy, which was applied before 2003, when Russian banks turned a blind eye to the laundering of income by foreign criminals, which made Russia a real haven for dubious western dealers.

Moscow also cooperated with the West in the settlement of situations in Syria, Iran and North Korea. Now Moscow can unilaterally waive sanctions on oil purchases from Tehran and at the same time start selling weapons to Damascus, including the latest air defense systems. Restrictions on trade with North Korea can also be weakened by Russians. In the United Nations, Russians will begin to use their veto power, selectively hindering American initiatives, Giraldi writes.

The use of open and secret attacks against Russia aimed at driving Russia into a corner is a bad policy, the author points out.

Ron Paul is right: all this can provoke a war. And there is historical analogies: for example, the trade embargo and restrictions on the sale of oil to Japan in 1940-1941. contributed to Tokyo's activity in Asia in search of alternative sources. And then there was Pearl Harbor.

It is not worth provoking a strong enemy, the author writes, if only vital national interests are not under threat. And such interests of the USA are certainly not under threat because of Ukraine and the Crimea.

The “wrath” on Russia of Congress, the White House and the American media is irrational, Giraldi said. Washington should review its erroneous policy and take a “step back,” the analyst advises. Otherwise, a dangerous situation can be created that will have disastrous consequences for everyone involved in it.

Thus, we will add in conclusion, to the voices of progressive publicists who are not supporters of riotous detractors and flagellates of Moscow, another comrade from the West has joined. Every day, the number of journalists and experts is growing, condemning both unpromising Western sanctions against Russia, and the whole policy of the White House and the hawkish congressmen.

even this is not the point - read history (and history develops in a spiral, and each round repeats the previous one, only at a somewhat higher level) - during all these "rounds of history" Russia did not kneel before anyone. the motto "RUSSIANS DO NOT GIVE UP" is a fact ...

But our generation of Pepsi does not shine with special (general) knowledge either. Especially in the native "Russian". I draw very often attention to grammatical mistakes not only in street advertising. And especially wildly annoying "typos" on the central TV channels and in the press. Previously, such blunders were very strictly monitored ...
Or else, as a reason for reflection - the son in the fourth grade (2008) quarreled with a teacher in the Russian language because of errors in the composition. It got to the director. They called to school, went to understand. The teacher of Russian language and literature is an Azerbaijani, a graduate of the Pedagogical Institute 2007. I apologize, I personally have nothing against nationality. But .... I am a graduate of 1988 high school (the same one where my son is studying (by the way, it was not a gift myself)) I put the essay I have checked (with my corrections) on the table to the director and ask for my opinion. The conversation between the director and the teacher went on without my participation behind closed doors .....

That's right. You could even not put a smiley at the end.
Although it could be expressed like this, not fig, but very limited. The whole essence of education in the United States is geared towards putting ticks in the right place on exams in the "bullet" (aka the examination sheet) without having real knowledge in your head, and the educational process is built so that the brain does not have to be strained (but then the child will be upset, depressed, etc., etc., otherwise he will suddenly lay hands on himself or create a thread), as well as to comply with all legal formalities (sometimes reaching the point of absurdity in the USA). Incl. such a formality as political correctness.

And in the engineering departments of any research institutes and other departments that "move technological progress" at large industrial concerns and corporations, they plow hires from other countries for green muculature. And they plow quite hard.

And the "exceptional" (or better and more precisely, "fabulous ... (insert the necessary yourself)"), on the basis of the rights of "exclusivity", are engaged in more intellectually easy work, that is, they work hard physically, or they wipe their pants in offices in highly specialized positions.
And very few representatives of the "establishment" social class (in the human middle class), very rarely really bother themselves with such an incomprehensible for the rest of the "common people" occupation as "gnawing the granite of science."
So they are literally exceptional, among all the "exceptional".

When we were going to introduce the Unified State Examination in schools in the Russian Federation, personally in my opinion it was understood differently. For example, that there will be a list of exams required for everyone (mathematics (algebra, geometry) and Russian) and, in addition to this, a choice (physics, chemistry, biology, geography, literature, etc.) with normal questions, implying though a good knowledge and understanding of the subject, and not a set of tests for dementia sufferers.
Unfortunately, this went the dumb way of copying from tracing paper from the Americans, ruining everything good in the idea of the Unified State Examination in the bud.

They do not ignore, they build their policy and strategy not on an idea, but on reflection - that is their principle. It is beneficial to be friends today - they are friends, it is beneficial to betray tomorrow - they will betray. Therein lies their strength (flexibility and effectiveness of actions) and weakness (the farther, the more loyal to them and the longer the list of enemies) they are supported only by the fact of dependence and benefit, respectively. In general, such an approach in politics is canonical and in politics (as in business) there is no moral and ethical component.

The main mistake in trying to evaluate the actions of a politician by ordinary people (far from her) is that they try to add morality and ethics to the evaluation process.
The main difference between a statesman and a politician, as I understand it, is that he seeks not only money and power, but seeks to have money and power in a MAXIMALLY INDEPENDENT, and therefore a strong and prosperous country. He does not want to depend on other powerful people of this world. Thus, when involuntarily, when consciously, he contributes to the improvement of the life of the people. Politics is not interested in the people, but in the electorate - he does not care who votes for him and why, only the number of votes is important. Hence the multiculturalism and tolerance (the politician will protect the interests of at least cannibals, at least buggers, at least illegal migrants if this brings him votes).

Finally:

Do Russian wars want to happen?
      Ask you for silence
over the expanse of arable land and fields
      and birches and poplars.
      You will ask those soldiers,
      that under the birches lie
and let their sons tell you
      Do the Russians want war.

      Not only for your country
the soldiers died in that war
and so that people of the whole earth
      could easily dream.
Under the rustle of leaves and posters
You sleep, New York, you sleep, Paris.
      May your dreams answer you
      Do the Russians want war.

Yes, we know how to fight,
but do not want to again
      soldiers fell in battle
      to his sad land.

In the USSR, card distribution was introduced in July 1941, and was canceled in December 1947. In the UK, petrol cards were canceled in 1950, for sugar and sweets in 1953, for meat in July 1954.

The rest of Europe, coupled with Poland and North America, will be given to China and Muslim countries. Russia does not need much, we already have a large territory.

Here's just one question: if we are so bad, then why are Americans still alive ??

But how you do not understand everything - it is America that has been cornered! and public debt, and their loans to the public, and the requirements of other countries to return their gold reserves (eg Germany), and ... this list can be continued for a very long time. You yourself know the size of state. US debt.
Military action is the only way out for them to stay "afloat". Therefore, IS, O.K.R.A.H.N.a., Iraq, etc. were created. The presence of a constant threat is the only way the United States can get the whole world to pump money into its economy - by ordering weapons. It is no coincidence that NATO demanded from its members to increase contributions to 2% of GDP to maintain defense capability. This means the constant re-equipment of the army (read the profit of the United States).
Why Russia was chosen as the aggressor - there are two banal reasons - 1) our military equipment is better, therefore it is necessary to remove a competitor, 2) Independence! The USSR was an independent power, which, in fact, did not need to buy anything abroad - we read there is no need for cu. and the rate was minimal, the United States received less profit. Now Russia is becoming independent again - listen carefully to the Darkest One - "... we pay for the fact that we conduct an independent policy ..." This is what they are afraid of - to lose SUCH a consumer of their green toilet paper.
And the best part is that not only we (read Russia), but also other countries that are members of such unions as the Eurasian Economic Community, BRICS, are all taking the "green" out of circulation.
Everyone understands that such a policy pursued by the United States is a one-way ticket, BUT THERE IS SIMPLY NO ANOTHER CHOICE!

And the Dark One conducts a very competent policy - pulls the military conflict to the last! That is why our troops did not enter the O.K.r.a.i.n.u to support New Russia, which is why we supply O.K.a.i.n.non coal and electric. energy, which is why our troops did not go to support Assad, etc.
    Understand, it does NOT "drain"!
Why was he so loved abroad - yes, because everyone understood that we have the opportunity to put anyone in their place, but after this there will be no "place" for anyone!
And most likely there will be no war, ONLY BECAUSE we will "endure slaps in the face and turn the other cheek"! Otherwise, a nuclear war!
Russia - the elephant on which Moska barks - the United States!

Do you think? "And we need one victory, we will not stand the price!" When I.V. Stalin was informed about the consequences of the bombing of famous cities in Japan, but this did not have a big effect on him, due to the already visible destruction in the Second World War. Give G-D us all sanity, but you shouldn't indulge evil anymore. It multiplies it. It's not about us, it's about everyone, it's just that Russia is always the first. Now our time is coming. Nothing can stop Russia.

All the same, we’ll pile on the Americans Lulea !!!! Russia can’t bring Russia to its knees with sanctions !!!

    - hmm ... in the spring, sanctions stopped the revolutions in six regions of Novorossiysk, then stopped the attack on Mariupol, now we are supplying the coal to the enemy and we will start supplying electricity soon without prepayment, consider it free, if only there was light in Crimea, this is the effect of sanctions, won Lavrov has already stated that we don’t need federalization either, this is all the effect of sanctions,
    it's only the beginning,
run a train from D \ LNR through Rostov to Moscow, start a diesel engine to Rostov, small business will go to Rostov for groceries (as in the 90s) (90% of the products are still from Ukraine), perhaps a food blockade, by the way, is the same in Crimea. .., organize a wholesale market in Taman and Taganrog from min. prices, solve the issue with den. transfers to the DNI bank, even through Ossetia, it is necessary that the people in the republics of the ruble go freely, without exchange for the hryvnia, as in the 90s. thank.

the problem is that after the Second World War and the seemingly complete and irrevocable destruction of Nazism, this did not happen. The core of Nazism, the SS order has survived, moreover, it has taken root in the new Europe and what we are witnessing today, namely the EU and so on, this is the realization of the dreams of the guys in black uniforms. And Russia is an enemy for them, an ancient and invincible enemy. That’s why Europeans don’t climb, and their overseas colleagues, yes, they don’t know what the Russian angry bear is.

And even more so to unsuccessful Amers try to put us on our knees!

There are 50 states + Costa Rica in the States. The names of many of the states are familiar to us. But the "capitals" of these states, which have their own legislation and awesome laws (like the fact that you can't walk around an elephant with an unstuffed cigar without pants — my fiction, I confess); - to us - are unknown. And any resident of Nevada does not know where Moscow, Kiev and Kharkov are. But he always knows where Carson City is, where his money goes. Why would an American know where and what is bad in the US system when he clearly, clearly and unequivocally points with all fingers of both hands at the eternal enemy and the root cause of American troubles - Russia.
It is necessary to fight for the minds of compatriots, but those who are sick of hamburgers will no longer be helped. Here it is necessary not to influence propaganda with propaganda, but with fear - additional to what they invented for themselves, and real.

Every day, the number of journalists and experts condemning both unpromising Western sanctions against Russia and, in general, the policies of the White House and congressmen, hawks, is growing.
The World Community is emerging. I think many have already understood what the aggravation of relations with Russia is fraught with. They are not ready to pay such a price!
Only these congressmen absolutely do not care about how the number of insights is growing. If they decide to start a war, they will unleash it in spite of any sacrifices, because personally they will survive in this hell. And the number of the killed electorate is of little concern to them, to appoint the guilty party first, this is the main principle of their modern politics.

I read the comments and as I see it, almost no one here at all catches up with absolutely no where-not-illuminated things ... Our main enemy for at least 400 last years ... THIS UNITED KINGDOM !!!!!!! The people .. I didn’t take it from the ceiling ... Read books on geopolitics ... There are often bribery, betrayal, revolution and war .. and in all cases, years, decades or even centuries later, it turns out the same thing .. THE UNITED KINGDOM ORGANIZED EVERYTHING ... Maybe this will seem strange to someone ... but the fact is that it is England, for the last 500 years (plus or minus), that has controlled the water part of the world by force .. and has not allowed anyone to become No. 1 at sea .. .because the one who owns the sea owns the land .. and whoever owns the land owns only the land ... To this effect, sooooo thorough work was written at the time by many historians but they were deleted ... and contemporaries are Dugin and Starikov .. read them ... There it is said in detail in detail .. I certainly understand that today the alignment of forces is changing ... since besides the sea and land, heaven has been added for 70 years and in recent years 25-30 there has also been space ... But ... Hidden management has not been canceled yet ... You look whose currency in the world is the MOST stable in driving and always .. right .. the British pound .. but not the dollar ... which has been feverish dozens of times .. It’s just that every century or half a century, England, through its agents, writes the role of a world tyrant ... That Sweden a few centuries ago, then France, then Germany, now here is the USA .... It’s just that all is well hidden .. England seems to be such a small European country .. and the USA is so huge .. but you don’t forget .. that very often ... it’s relatively weak and certainly insecure people give birth to huge dogs .. and skillfully, with the right training, they manage them ... Britons, just fucking cunning creatures that will stir up the water until we tear them apart ... And tear the USA, remember mine a word after a certain short time. a new tyrannosaurus will appear on the horizon in the face of another monster country ...

To education at the beginning of comments.
American education is aimed at narrowly specialized specialists and training is conducted in the direction of "skills and abilities", in our system was "knowledge, skills, skills". Therefore, an American tanker should not know how to pull a caterpillar, this is beyond his specialty (skills and abilities). Unfortunately, now our education is also looking towards the Bologna education system with its competence-based approach (you need to know only within the framework of your specialty, and everything else is not in my COMPETENCE)! Therefore, soon our tanker will not know how the tank works, the first calls have been ringing for a long time among the youth!
