Project "ZZ". Putin decided to "get it all", and Obama became interested in the Ku Klux Klan.
Former Assistant Secretary of State, and now a research assistant at the Heritage Foundation and writer Kim R. Holmes in "The Washington Times" said that Putin is very unlucky: he "seems to have chosen a bad time to try to restore the Russian empire."
Kim Holmes recalls that energy prices are falling in the world, and the ruble exchange rate is weakening. As a result of inflation, Mr. Putin loses his much-needed profit.
It would seem, the author argues, it's high time for Putin to temper his ardor and abandon “aggression.” But alas, nothing like this happens!
The former KGB officer, the journalist writes further, compresses the ring at the borders of its “neighbors”. The author of the article from somewhere knows that "the pro-Russian separatists" in Ukraine "seem to be preparing a new offensive." The strategic plan of the upcoming throw is also known: the “separatists” are going to capture Mariupol, and then create a land corridor to the “occupied Crimea”.
Journalist writes about “huge columns tanks and the trucks that transport Grad howitzers and missile systems ... through separatist regions. " And here is the opinion of NATO experts: they say that all these are Russian forces.
In addition to the east of Ukraine, Putin also planned to seize the northern states. They are "under the gun," says Holmes.
Russian bombers and submarines have already penetrated the airspace and territorial waters of Sweden and Finland (which, by the way, are not part of NATO), the author notes. The three objectives of the “angry Russia” are the Baltic countries, and their membership in NATO is not at all embarrassing. It is known that in September, the agents quietly crossed the Estonian border, blew up noise grenades and smoked the area with smoke bombs, and then “kidnapped an Estonian citizen right on the territory of Estonia”! In a word, there is a reason to accuse Russia of espionage, Kim Holmes believes.
What justifies such behavior V. Putin? And he says, Holmes writes, that the sovereignty of these countries "partly belongs to Moscow", and therefore they should not rely on the protection of NATO.
And yet the publicist wonders: why does Mr. Putin "continue to behave like a hooligan"? After all, the economy of his country is in distress!
And this is precisely why Putin “continues”: because of the plight of the economy, the former assistant secretary of state is resourcefully announcing. This is a real way out: Russians should be distracted from economic problems by fear of external threats. The first enemy in Russia is the United States. The growing popularity of Putin is precisely due to his anti-Western position - the position of a man who is ready to confront the whole West.
The journalist gives another answer. Putin is “aggressive” because he can bring threats to life. Independent countries that were once part of the Soviet Union (Ukraine, the Baltic republics, Georgia, and others) are all viewed by the Kremlin as “gray territories for occupation”. Putin cares little about Western sanctions. Moreover, it has come to the point that the West itself has recognized: Ukraine is in the sphere of Russian influence. The West is not in a position to give a decisive response to “Russian aggression,” the journalist points out.
“Finally, there is the factor of despair,” Holmes develops his thought. Despite significant investments, Mr. Putin recently had to abandon the South Stream gas pipeline - partly for economic reasons, partly because the European Union opposed this project: the Baltic countries and other states saw the danger of energy dependence on Russia.
Therefore, Putin probably decided, Holmes writes, that he had better “get everything”, which is only possible without delaying the matter: the blackmailing of geopolitical opponents through the supply of energy resources seems to be a thing of the past.
Time plays against Putin, the journalist sums up. In the long run, economic problems may limit Putin’s strategy options, but in the short run, the Kremlin’s master will try to use the differences of the West to his advantage.
Kim Holmes advises the West to "be alert."
So, the West is showing political lethargy, and Putin is eager to fight. As for the best in Ukraine, there, state American observers, Vladimir Putin appears in the form of a defender.
This writes Lev Golinkin (Lev Golinkin) in the newspaper "New York Times".
He cites data from the United Nations, according to which, since April, almost half a million Ukrainians have left their country. “The devil is in the details,” he writes, noting that out of 454.000 people who fled from Ukraine before the end of October, more than 387.000 arrived in Russia. And here the question arises: if there is a conflict between Ukraine and Russia, then why do so many Ukrainians “prefer to link their fate with the enemy?”
The author answers this question. Much of the eastern Ukrainians do not trust either Kiev or the West. These people at least "silently support Russia and the separatists."
On the other hand, President Poroshenko froze state pensions and stopped funding schools and hospitals in the eastern regions (Donetsk and Lugansk). In fact, Poroshenko himself gave Putin the cards: now the Kremlin’s master has “proof” - the starving pensioners in the region. "The West will not worry if you die." The feeling of Western indifference in the region is growing day by day.
Finally, Kiev made a “terrible decision”: the author of the article reminds us to cooperate with the Azov battalion, this ultranationalist militant group using Nazi greetings and signs. This gives Putin another opportunity to mark the invaders and to declare himself a defender, Golinkin said.
One last thing: official Washington and the Western media basically ignore the negative consequences of Kiev’s actions, the author points out. The State Department does not say anything about the sufferings of pensioners, about the Nazis from Azov, and so on. The author spoke with friends who “still live” in Kharkov, and they immediately asked him: “Why does the West see us as enemies?”
West forgot its own lessons stories, sums up the author. But Ukrainians will remind these lessons to the West. This year, residents of the eastern regions found themselves in a terrible situation, and they will follow those who give them bread, protection and respect their language and culture. And this is not the West.
As for the ability of Western states, especially the United States, to resist the “aggressor” Putin, material on this topic appeared in the publication "Military Times".
It turns out that the morale of American warriors over the past five years has fallen dramatically. The Military Times case study is a great testament to that. After conducting a thorough survey of US military 2.500, the publication came to the conclusion that in the American army service satisfaction significantly decreased, the commanders lost respect, and the number of those who wished to renew the military contract decreased sharply. Moreover, the military believe that they are underestimated and they are underpaid.
As shown by scientific research, the quality of life of the American military has declined sharply. If in the 2009 year, 91, the percentage of servicemen described the standard of living as “good” or “excellent”, then in 2014, the “good” and “honors” were only 56 percent.
For five years, the number of servicemen who were ready to advise their army to go into the army under a contract decreased from 85% to 73%. Over 2009-2014 the number of people willing to renew the military contract also decreased - from 72% to 63%.
Well, money. In the US, the idea is not fighting. If in 2009, the 87 percent of the US military believed that their allowance corresponded to a “good” or “excellent” level, in 2014, the figure fell to 44%!
The military in the United States and unhappy medical care. The curve of satisfaction with the quality of military health care services rushed down: from the point in 78% to the point in 45%.
Finally, American soldiers believe that the authorities do not care about them. In 2009, more than half of the military (53%) believed that the top military authorities thought about their soldiers, and now the number of those who think so is only 27%. Half as much!
If anyone cares about anyone, it's a Ku Klux Klan to a white man.
According to Rawstory.com, Ku Klux Klan now plays an active and sustainable role in shaping the views of white voters from the American south. The results of the latest research show: the Southerners finally turned from the Democratic Party to the Republican. The study involved serious people. The data were published not in the yellow press, but in the scientific journal American Sociological Review.
The authors of the study agree that white voters are ready to emphasize the "superiority" of their race "when making decisions about voting." Those Southerners who used to vote for the Democrats turn away from them.
The study was conducted in ten southern states, where KKK has actively attracted supporters since 1960. Analysis of the results of voting in the five presidential elections in the period 1960 and 2000. showed a statistically significant increase in those who cast votes to the Republicans - compared with the districts in which there was no influence of the Ku Klux Klan.
Thus, let us add from ourselves, in the USA, what Mark Twain didn’t believe in in large numbers, who ridiculed citizens' commitment at the time, not to the program or the honesty of the candidate, but to the party: if anyone votes for the Democrats, he will vote for them for life.
Now, research has shown that the Ku Klux Klan has become a factor that has shaken extremely conservative convictions that have taken shape over the centuries — the beliefs of entire generations.
Researchers point out that KKK has changed its priorities: henceforth, Southerners "put the priority of white supremacy above party loyalty."
The leaders of the Ku Klux Klan were able to convince people that candidates should be supported, based on the “true whiteness” of their skin, not party affiliation. And of course, the Democratic Party suffered a fiasco here.
However, we add in conclusion that the American government, be it greenskin, burgundy or purple, will in the same way oppress whites as well as blacks. The example of Obama and the city of Ferguson is known to all. Another thing is that tolerance in the United States decreases every year - along with the melting of faith in the American dream. The working people less and less believe the authorities, and the soldiers have become disillusioned with the authorities and do not want to serve in the army. With such a mood Putin can not be overcome!
