Russia for the first time celebrates the Day of the Unknown Soldier

28
Today, the Day of the Unknown Soldier is celebrated in Russia for the first time. The date was not chosen by chance - 3 December 1966 of the year in commemoration of 25 years after the defeat of the German troops near Moscow, the remains of an unknown soldier were removed from a mass grave located on the 41 kilometer of the Leningrad highway for a solemn burial in Alexander Garden.

"Starting from 2014, a new memorable date is set in Russia - the Day of the Unknown Soldier," the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry reports. "RT in Russian".

This memorable date was established at the initiative of the participants in the movement, which is looking for the remains of the dead soldiers to perpetuate their memory.

“The idea was in the air among search engines and members of military-patriotic organizations (...) The search engines also reminded us that we already have December 9 Heroes Day, but stories there are still many heroes of the unknown and nameless, ”said Denis Sadovnikov, head of the RVIO department for work with state and public organizations.

The solemn ceremony in honor of the memorable day will be held in the Borodino Field Museum-Preserve, on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow and in Tula.

Borodino will be visited by the Minister of Culture of Russia and the Chairman of the Russian Military Historical Society Vladimir Medinsky. And on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow will be held a solemn laying of wreaths at the Eternal Flame. In Tula, in the framework of the Day of the Unknown Soldier, the opening of a monument to the heroes of the First World War will be held.

No need to undo anything. The more there will be such holidays (which help to know and love the history of your country), the better for all of us. And especially for our children.

We have a "day of military glory" almost every month, everybody deeply does not care.

You ask any passerby when the Poltava battle took place, you’ll understand what I mean.

In 1966, I was in the fourth grade. And I remember very well how rallies were held everywhere, pioneer lines dedicated to this event (the transfer of the ashes of an unknown soldier to the Kremlin wall). All this was shown on TV, and how people met the "Eternal Flame", which was transported from Leningrad from the Field of Mars in an APC. All the way from Leningrad to Moscow there were people on the side of the Leningrad highway. Many were crying, holding photos of those who did not return from the war. The effect of this event could be compared, if only with the first "Minute of Silence", sounded on May 9, 1965, when Victory Day was officially celebrated.

They did the right thing to establish such a memorable day. He must remind the living now of all our soldiers who did not return home after the war.

      The complete idiocy.

In Russia there is already a memorable date when the memory of those who died in the War is honored - June 22, "Day of Remembrance and Sorrow".

      But this is a humiliation
Russia for the first time celebrates the Day of the Unknown Soldier

Another child of mentally retarded deputies and some "search engines", the same as November 4 and June 12.

It seems to me that on the Day of Military Glory it is necessary to remember all those who defended their homeland, and those whose names we know, and those who remained in an unnamed or mass grave.

Honor and glory to the search engines who managed to push through the celebration of this date. And how many more of them lie, not buried and not identified - it's scary to think. Only near St. Petersburg, in Sinyavino, during each Memory Watch, 400-500 people are raised. As a friend of mine, the commander of a search detachment, said: "There is a saying that a war ends only when its last soldier is buried. Therefore, the Great Patriotic War will never end for our people."

There may be an overdose of nationalism, chauvinism, idiocy at last. An overdose of Patriotism cannot be a priori. To love your homeland is to love your land, love your parents, your family, remember your ancestors, and UNCONDITIONLY, pay tribute to the fallen for OUR MOTHERLAND.

In the fall of 2014, Primorye was visited by the Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation S. Ivanov. At one of the meetings, from a schoolgirl in the city of Vladivostok, a request was made to establish a holiday in Russia for the Day of Remembrance of the Unknown Soldier.
The initiative was supported and December 3 became such a Day.

Nevertheless, whoever initiates the holiday, Eternal Memory to all the dead!

And how many such heroes lie unknown in the earth without the possibility of restoring their name. I have a daughter this fall, along with our search squad, was in the area of the Ramushevsky corridor. In two weeks, more than 20 soldiers were raised. they found only one medallion and they could not be restored. Eternal memory to them!

Do you have that in Belarus patriotism is not in fashion? And in Russia it seems to us that there is still very little.

It sometimes seems to me that soldiers
From the bloody fields that have not come,
Not once we fell into our land once,
And they turned into white cranes.

There are still a lot of unknown soldiers, and unfortunately, many cannot be found. Therefore, they need to be honored and remembered!
