Rostec has developed a technology that makes it possible to produce invulnerable radio equipment
The development of technology was carried out in the framework of the project "Pagoda" by order of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
“The UIC has developed and is ready to introduce a new production technology: the ground, air and sea-based radio equipment made on its basis will be practically invulnerable to EW facilities. Our scientists have increased the level of noise immunity in 200 times (up to 30 decibels) - in order to “drown out” such a radio channel, you need to increase the interference power up to 400 times. EW equipment with such capabilities simply does not exist today, ”a press release reads.
As the head of one of the corporation’s departments, Alexander Kalinin, has noted, to date, the traditional methods of protecting equipment from EW (extending the range or combining signal-code constructions) are almost exhausted.
“Existing technologies make radio equipment vulnerable to enemy EW equipment. The development of our concern "Management Systems" and the Nizhny Novgorod research and production enterprise "Polet" is a new word in this industry. The created communication technology allows separating interference from a useful radio signal and working even in conditions of strong electronic countermeasures. ”, - he declared.
The report also notes that "the development work on the Pagoda project has been successfully completed, their results will be used in promising airborne and ground communications complexes."
Help RIA "News":" OPK is a state corporation created in 2014 year as part of Rostec to organize high-tech production of competitive products in the field of communication systems and tools, automated control systems, electronic warfare and robotic systems for the army and other special formations, as well as competitive products of civil and dual use. The structure of the corporation includes the radio engineering concern "Vega", the concern "Constellation", the integrated structure "Management Systems" and the Central Research Institute for Economics, Informatics and Management Systems - a total of 55 enterprises and scientific organizations with a total number of 39,5 thousands of people ” .
