Photo Gallery of the American legend Gama Goat

Gama Goat is a six-wheel off-road semi-amphibious vehicle. It was originally designed for the US military involved in the Vietnam War. The Goat uses an articulated chassis and therefore it seems from a certain distance that this four-wheel-drive car pulls a two-wheeled trailer behind it. However, it is a six-wheel one-piece steering wheel with four wheels, in which the front and rear wheels rotate in opposite directions. The car is famous for its off-road passability, it can move through extremely difficult marshland.

The car's nickname consists of two words. Gama, on behalf of the inventor of the articulation joint, Roger Gamount and Goat (goat) because of its excellent off-road terrain as a mountain goat. Tactical 1,25-ton truck 6 × 6 received the military designation M561. There was also a sanitary version of the machine under the designation M792. Goat is highly valued among collectors of war machines, as it is very unusual and is currently in short supply. This car was subsequently replaced by the CUCV (commercial auxiliary truck) and the HMMWV (highly mobile multipurpose wheeled vehicle).

And Russia is also the birthplace of elephants. In the sixties, unfortunately, there was nothing similar in the SA, according to the tasks set. And compare, again, unfortunately, with nothing.

the price is about lyama of our rubles. And not one
the car is there, you can choose. A machine
specific, expensive, but if needed, they will buy it.
Thinking of buying a Volkswagen-Iltis, from
the Bundeswehr, they were written off from there, from conservation.
So the balts podgadili bastards! Outbid
for their armies, and those cars that hit the market,
      doubled or tripled in price!

front and rear wheels rotate in opposite directions (quote)

Maybe they still turn around, and then from such a thought it even somehow became terribly terrible.

Goat is highly regarded among collectors of military vehicles, as it is very unusual and currently scarce. (Quote)

Still would. Articulated all-terrain vehicle with a fairly good carrying capacity capable of moving in extremely difficult road conditions, this is really a rarity for the American army.

We also had our own "Kozy", though purely for peaceful purposes. "Joy" of all Soviet drivers, "mountain tractor" from Kutaisi aka "KOZA":

True to the collapse of the Union, the situation has improved and the new "Goats" turned out to be much more successful:

KAZ is the pride of the Caucasus, the grief of Russia. Well, who told you that something has improved there? the village of the middle strip. The peasants appreciated the wheeled T-6 much more. And the "big tadpole" (at best) ended up in the motor depots of regional centers as a yard tractor (without a license plate). I will not even speak about the predecessors - "Legend". the car is very interesting all-round, I think the Yankes will return to it. On another level, perhaps a robot or some kind of combat vehicle.

In our area, they worked to the fullest. True, the 90s quickly disappeared.
Mainly due to the lack of spare parts.

            Armenian needlework (with clogged bolts)

            More correct Georgian. laughing

Thank you for correcting, of course, Kutaisi-Georgia. I wrote and the thought revolved around another "masterpiece" of the Transcaucasus, ErAZe, too, do you know a lot of emotions, but as if not at all in the subject.
