Russia demonstrated the most promising weapons at INDO Defense-2014

19
The largest in the Asia-Pacific region exhibition of modern weapons INDO Defense-2014 14 Russian organizations presented the most promising types of military equipment. The Ministry of Industry and Trade is convinced that military-technical cooperation will make a tangible contribution to solving the strategic task of increasing trade turnover more than 1,5 times by 2016 between Russia and Indonesia.

The Russian exposition was organized by Rostec State Corporation. Samples and information on military products were provided by Rosoboronexport, Uralvagonzavod, the Almaz-Antey Air Defense Concern, United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), Sukhoi Company and the Instrument Engineering Design Bureau (KBP).

“At the INDO Defense-2014 exhibition, C-300BM, Antey-2500, Tor-M2E, Tor-M2KM, Buk-M2E air defense systems and complexes were presented and Komar turret installations for portable “Igla” anti-aircraft missile systems, - said Denis Manturov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, for details. - The newest Su-35 fighter, as well as the Su-32, an export version of the recently adopted Su-34, was brought to Jakarta. The Navy will certainly be interested in the diesel submarines of the 636, Amur-950 and Amur-1650 projects. The civilian segment is represented by the famous Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft.

The Asia-Pacific region traditionally accounts for the largest volume of deliveries of military equipment produced in Russia. Over the past ten years, it's about 60%. Today, the countries of the region are actively modernizing and re-equipping their Armed Forces, seeking to develop a national defense industry. The Russian Federation will use any opportunity to promote these products and services for military and dual use and hopes to continue mutually beneficial cooperation.

The INDO Defense exhibition has been held since 2004 with the support of the Ministry of Defense of Indonesia. The forum demonstrates the armaments and military equipment of the ground forces and naval forces, aviation and aviation weapons, air defense systems and equipment, special-purpose equipment, IT-technologies, communication systems and means. This year, 10 companies from 525 countries presented their exhibits on a total area of 45 thousand square meters.

In the photo - the new Indonesian Minister of Defense Rimizard Rachudu and the head of the delegation of Rosoboronexport OJSC Nikolay Demidyuk.

Your compass in the world of international military-technical cooperation is the Moscow Defense Brief magazine on the Russian stand.

The main Russian bestseller in the Indonesian market is the BMP-3F Marine Corps combat vehicle at the entrance to the exhibition. To date, 54 machines have been delivered.

Indonesian marines are very pleased with the machine.

Currently, the issue of signing a supply contract before the 50 BMP-3F is under discussion. In the photo - the commander of the Marine Corps of Indonesia at the Russian stand.

The greatest hopes of the Russian military industrial complex on the Indonesian market are associated with the promotion of submarines and air defense systems.
On the photo - the layout of the submarine project 636

Layout of the Buk-M2E air defense system

Start-up installation of the complex "Buk-M2E"

Container SAM "Tor-MNNUMKM"

Two options for upgrading BMP-2
From KBP

and from the concern "Tractor Plants"

During the exhibition, a contract was signed for the supply to Indonesia of a marketing batch of Kalashnikov 100 series for testing

The stand of the United Aircraft Corporation

There were relatively few new products from the Russian side at the exhibition.

Unified command and observation machine 1В172-2 developed by Penza OJSC “Radiozavod”

Other developments of Penzents - software and hardware complex of the battery commander

A set of hardware automated control platoon MANPADS

Individual automation kit. “Deploys” the MANPADS operator towards the approaching target.

Vasily Zamarakhin of KBP demonstrates the development of Tula, a small-sized grenade launcher complex “Bour”

A rare visitor at overseas exhibitions - a large-caliber sniper rifle VKS ("Exhaust").

During the exhibition, the patrol ship Yaroslav the Wise and the Kola Baltic tanker arrived in Jakarta fleet. Russian officers checked out the exhibits.

A little about the expositions of competitors
American exposure is quite modest

The general impression from the expositions of Western countries - each chose several of the most promising market niches for themselves in the region and promotes products only in them. Americans are actively marketing ATGM Javelin

The Germans have focused on the promotion of dual-use and primarily civilian products, such as water treatment plants.

However, the mortar version of the Wiesel 2 occupied the central part of the German exposition.

Norwegians are actively promoting the heiress Penguin - a new NSM anti-ship missile

BAE Systems advertised naval artillery mounts - 40-mm BAE SyStems Bofors Mk 4 X-gun

Of the western countries, the Swedes had the largest exposition. For them, export is the only way to preserve their unique MIC.

In the center of the Swedish premiere exposition is the unmanned marine device Bonefish.

Swedes are hoping to sell Gripen to Indonesia. At the exhibition, everyone could “fly” on his simulator.

However, INDO DEFENSE 2014 Expo was remembered above all for the large-scale expositions of the new military-industrial powers.

South Korea had a very large exposition

The Korean military industrial complex in the Indonesian market has two key projects - the construction of submarines and the development of a fighter jointly with the Indonesians.

Model of the Korean air-independent power plant for submarines.

The layout of the Korean-Indonesian fighter KF-X / IF-X

To advance their submarines, destroyers, airplanes and ammunition, Koreans actively use their main wunderwaffe, the Korean women.

Turks are very active in promoting their products in the local market under the slogan of military-technical cooperation between Muslim countries. New Turkish MRAP Kale.

The Brazilian military industrial complex is represented by its non-lethal ammunition industry.

Poles advertise their aerodrome equipment

At the center of the Indian exposition are the products of the Russian-Indian joint venture BrahMos.

Indonesians also have Su-30MK, so the Indians are hoping to sell the aviation version of Brahmos here.

“Blaster in Indian” - blinding laser gun.

South African UAV Hungwe

The Singapore military industrial complex is represented by electronics, auxiliary power units, equipment for combat swimmers and optics.

A large exposure was the Belarusians. On the photo-machine EW "Kiwi".

Indonesia is armed with a number of Soviet PT-76 and BTR-50. The Belarusian enterprise “Minotor-Service” promotes the idea of their modernization, rather dubious though.

The Philippines also acquired its military-industrial complex. In the photo - the products of the Philippine company Armscor.

The exhibition organizers focused on the achievements of their Indonesian military-industrial complex.

Indonesians have mastered the production of combat equipment ...

... wheeled military equipment ...

... including something about MRAPs.

Severe Indonesian with a six-barreled machine gun

The main impression of the exhibition is the number of countries whose industry is ready to compete on the world arms market with the products of the old military-industrial powers, is growing rapidly. More recently, the phrase “Indonesian military-industrial complex” sounded funny, and soon it would be impossible to sell ready-made weapons systems to Indonesians - this would involve either licensed production, or even joint development of weapons and military equipment. The list of new military-industrial powers is growing; it is already possible to add South Korea, Singapore, Turkey, and South Africa.

However, in the list of world military-industrial powers there is not only replenishment, but also a loss. At the INDO DEFENSE 2014 Expo, for the first time, Ukrainian companies and the Ukroboronprom stand were completely absent. This, among other things, suggests that the plans for delivery to Indonesia BTR-4 put a cross.

Rifle Exhaust liked .... smile Glushak is impressive and if you insert the right-wing man in one place and crank a couple of times the desire to flee to war he will greatly decrease.

In general, this exhibition is a continuation of the struggle for a place in the sun on the ASIAN WEAPONS MARKET .... and it is gratifying that RUSSIA is fighting for it by participating in such events.

It’s great of course that according to the invention of a new cool weapon we are ahead of the rest. But when at last we can buy well, for example, a cool laptop or a camera designed and built to the last bolt in Russia, and not in China or Taiwan.
